Jan 7, 2010I have a new BB working with t mobile but not with a plan only with refill and I don't know if this is a problem for to set an email account on my blackberry??, I have access to wi if in some places. If is not a problem I can tell you that I never see the option on my blackberry offer me to create an account or add an account on the BB only says in email setups this " I want to use a work email acc with a BB Enterprise Server." that is the unique option that appear on the phone. The icon for de email configuration also didn't appear.
I don't understand why this option not appear on my BB . I only want to see mi gmail acc with my BB. Thanks a lot!

May 9, 2011I just bought a new Torch and am unable to set up personal email (internet). I have read the postings and have doen the follwoing but to no avail:
1. Re-installed the DM
2. Reset handset
3. Updated and downgraded the softwareon the handset
4. Changed SIM Cards
5. Security wipe of email and contacts.
Unit works fine but I cannot set up my email. I do not have an enterprise server at my work so I do not need to activate it but this is the only option I ever get when trying to set up emails.

May 27, 2010One of the reasons I bought a Blackberry is because you can send and receive emails on it. I bought a new 8520 blackberry and I cant set up an email address! Ok, I went through the set-up wizard, and when it got to the email part, there is supposed to be 2 options:
I want to create or add an email address
and
I want to use the blackberry enterprise server
My blackberry only has one option..the enterprise server one. Now I don't work in any office environment, so this is of no use to me. I want to use the first option, that my phone doesn't have.

Jan 27, 2010I've recently bought a nokia E72 after losing my E71 and I'm really disappointed with this mobile phone. I share most of the problems shared by most of the users. Messy software, awful sound, horrible build quality with lights comig from everywhere. But lately I found another problem with my mobile. When I create a new message, in the messaging menu, I don't have the option to create a MMS message. All the options I have are ''message (sms) / audio message / avatar sms / e-mail''. No signs of MMS creation option. I tried to uninstall the ''avatar sms'' software to check if the MMS menu would appear but still nothing. I've check the MMS settings and all the settings are ok, but still nothing in the messagin menu to create a MMS.

Jul 11, 2011I took Brand new 3g curve on 6th July 2011 with vodafone network and I am facing 2 problems. First when I go to setup wizard for email set up it shows only one option i.e. Want to use a work email account and not showing the other option. I am using Vodafone plan of 399 which covers all BB services second is when I go to main menu I am not able to find out blackberry application world icon any where and when I am downloading it, saying your device already have blackberry application wan replace it I say yes and again there is error.

Aug 18, 2010I recieved my Curve 8520 6 days ago and I am still waiting on my service provider contacting me about the Blackberry Tariff HOWEVER when setting up my phone using the Wizard Setup I did not have two options for the email setup, only Enterprise Email Activation...I have never had one, this is my first Blackberry. How do I apply the other option of Add An Email Address? Or does this mean that the phone has been used by someone else (even though it was bought from my service provider "brand new"), or a fault has arisen? What can be done?

Apr 21, 2010I have had my curve for over a year now on my Orange contract. I have just been given a new Sim Card by my company. This Sim card is with Vodafone. I got my phone unlocked and the new Sim card is working fine for everything but emails. There isnt even an option to set-up the email accounts!!
I contacted Vodafone and they said that the phone had already been registered with an email server. Which it has beacause i was using it with my other Orange contract. All they could suggest was buying a new handset!! But surely that means if anyone sells their blackberry handset, the new owner wont be able to use email, this cant be right.

On my old Blackberry Pearl I was allowed to setup Gmail in the same page. I am trying to setup a Blackberry Enterprise Server email address on my Blackberry 8530, but I only have the option to setup a personal one in the Email Setup Wizard. I do have a black berry data plan setup, my personal email is working fine on the blackberry, but I need the enterprise option to work with my work's email. I cannot find any support to detail why this is happening.
