I have the Blackberry Curve 8530 I keep getting application error 523. I can make calls using my bluetooth, but none of the buttons work. What do I do to restore my phone?

I get this message when i try adding a contact in my phone book. Seem to have this problem after installing animated avatars vol 2 on my 9300 curve 3G OS 5. Tried deleting the app,removing battery while the phone was still on and even tried upgrading the OS to 6. But of no avail. Teribbly disappointed that BB has such issues with the most basic requirement of adding and editing contacts.

I did a battery pull and my phone came back on, only to see an error message saying "error application uncaught exception" or something along those lines, and my SMS app had been deleted from my phone. i clicked "show all" and nothing came up. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop manager twice to update the software to see if that had any effect but it kept getting stuck on the back up on my computer, so I disconnected it both times. I tried to install the software update on my phone itself, and now its stuck on the back up data page (again) but this time on my phone. It says "social feeds 0%" and "overall back up progress 5%". I did another battery pull but its brought me back to the same screen and I cannot use my phone at all.

Uncaught exception: application net_rim_bb_addressbook_app (4609) is not responding; process terminated.NOTE the bracketed numbers in this string changes based on the contact I try to access i.e it could be (4612)The phone freezes and I have to turn it on and off again! , before I can move off address page. Upon turning the phone on I get the above error.I have looked through the support forums and searched using the error, I have found similar relating to a traffic app but nothing relating to the address book.

It must've happened a couple of times before without the error appearing because a couple of times in the last week when I hit menu I noticed "playing now" was missing, even though I was in the middle of an album. View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple of months ago the What's App application required an update. I updated it and ever since my phone has steadily had more and more issues. First, I kept getting this uncaught error message, shortly thereafter the 2 email accounts (both gmail) that I have linked to the account disappeared. The message icon shows that I have messages, but icons not there (I have tried the show all option). At one point the message icon started exponentially adding the number of messages until it got up to over 86,000. When I reboot the phone it goes back down and then steadily increases again. usually though it's more to 400 - 500 rather then tens of thousands. I have been trying to install updates and do a wipe of the BB so that I can start from scratch, unfortunately the application loader is unable to back up data. The desktop manager is unable to connect to the blackberry and indicates that an upgrade is required. I have tried doing the upgrade both directly from the phone and connected to the desktop manager, but nothing seems to work. If I try to upgrade the software directly from the BB, I get to the start download button and when I click, nothing happens. I have removed all applications except bberry app world and one game that I play, Pixelated Plus. Still nothing.

After I hit "OK" everything seems to run fine, but the error just won't go away. This is the second time it's doing this...the first time it happened I thought a wipe and reinstall would fix it, but it just came back. I am using BB Curve 8520 for past 2 years off lately my phone has started behaving weird
1) When ever I restart the phone give me this error message "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDelFoundError".
2) I went to make a call and the speaker keeps flicking to headset and back, I have never connected a headset so it cannot be the settings issue. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most glitches and operating system errors, and you will lose no data on the device doing this.
I have a 9300 Curve Blackberry. This morning, when I was gonna check my email and SMS (Text),there were 3 error messages: Uncaught Exception: Java.Lang.NullException & Uncaught Exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(110) is not responding; process terminated, and Uncaught Exception: Application net_rim_bb_messaging_app(803) is not responding; process terminated.
