When restarting (after battery removal) the device opens with "uncaught exception: Index 6>= 6" or "uncaught exception: Index 8>= 8" messages. I want to find out why, and solve the problem. Anyone who can be of assistance ???

It must've happened a couple of times before without the error appearing because a couple of times in the last week when I hit menu I noticed "playing now" was missing, even though I was in the middle of an album. Anyone get this? IDK if I should install the Sprint version over this.

I originally thought it was from one of my apps that i had downloaded and now removed from my device. My keypad is now not completely working. View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple of months ago the What's App application required an update. I updated it and ever since my phone has steadily had more and more issues. First, I kept getting this uncaught error message, shortly thereafter the 2 email accounts (both gmail) that I have linked to the account disappeared. The message icon shows that I have messages, but icons not there (I have tried the show all option). At one point the message icon started exponentially adding the number of messages until it got up to over 86,000. When I reboot the phone it goes back down and then steadily increases again. usually though it's more to 400 - 500 rather then tens of thousands. I have been trying to install updates and do a wipe of the BB so that I can start from scratch, unfortunately the application loader is unable to back up data. The desktop manager is unable to connect to the blackberry and indicates that an upgrade is required. I have tried doing the upgrade both directly from the phone and connected to the desktop manager, but nothing seems to work. If I try to upgrade the software directly from the BB, I get to the start download button and when I click, nothing happens. I have removed all applications except bberry app world and one game that I play, Pixelated Plus. Still nothing.

Tried deleting the app,removing battery while the phone was still on and even tried upgrading the OS to 6. But of no avail. Teribbly disappointed that BB has such issues with the most basic requirement of adding and editing contacts.

I did a battery pull and my phone came back on, only to see an error message saying "error application uncaught exception" or something along those lines, and my SMS app had been deleted from my phone. i clicked "show all" and nothing came up. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop manager twice to update the software to see if that had any effect but it kept getting stuck on the back up on my computer, so I disconnected it both times. I tried to install the software update on my phone itself, and now its stuck on the back up data page (again) but this time on my phone. It says "social feeds 0%" and "overall back up progress 5%". I did another battery pull but its brought me back to the same screen and I cannot use my phone at all.

After I hit "OK" everything seems to run fine, but the error just won't go away. I am quite new to the BB world and am encountering a few problems. I have a BB Curve 8520 which is running OS 5.2. At times when I reboot my handheld it shows Uncaught exception 9 > = 9 or Uncaught exception 7 > = 7. I read a bit about it on the forums and found it may be because the system has an if command but there is no end command which may cause this error. Now I am technically not very sound and want to know what should I do to eradicate this problem!!

I downloaded the games Sleepy Hollow and Final Battle yesterday. Sleepy Hollow works fine but when I tried to run Final Battle, the game freezes and I get the error "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException". Then i get all messages at on time sometimes up to 6 or 7 messages , i can send them but not receive .
