So this is my mother's storm. It is using the Verizon 5.0 version 328. I recently uninstalled BB Messenger and installed google talk. Now when I click on the sms icon I receive that java error message. I can send sms messages using the address book, but cannot view any incoming sms messages. A battery pull did not help.
I had a question about the 9500. Im currently using the 9530 from verizon and was thinking about selling it and getting a 9500 cuz i have t-mobile and im tired of the EDGE/edge problem.....I was just curious if any of you happen to know if the 9500 has the EDGE/edge problem that the 9530 has with T-Mobile.
i just changed my phone from an iphone to a blackberry I was updating my OS? or i think it was.long story short, it doesnot have a reboot loop (it did and i tried almost everything that ppl suggested)not only I have 507 error when its NOT connected to a pc but also when i connect it to my pc it has only a black dead screen with red led light (not flashing).DM doesnt recognize my bb, LOADER doesnt either, I removed & reinstalled like 20 times since yesterday.
Got this the other day while trying to get vzaccess mgr to work...anyway..reloaded .328 with DM and when i booted up i had 49 some mb app...knew that didnt look right so got to looking and noticed that it did not install BBM or BB maps...i download bb messenger w no problem ota...but BB maps i cannot find... is there an OTA link for BB maps?
Most of the time, my Storm charges fine. Plug it in, wait a few hours, and the battery is good to go.Sometimes though, it is plugged in for hours, 16 hours this time, and the power bar is still empty. If I unplug the phone, it shuts off. I mention this to forestall the "make sure it's plugged in, lol" comments. Obviously it's getting some juice, since the phone stays powered up, the battery just isn't charging. One time I had to leave the phone plugged in for three days before it started to charge.Does anyone have any suggestions?
Everything seems to be working on my bb storm 9530. i have att plan.i cant send or recieve picture messages. i think either the service books are messed up or somethign else is wrong. i get no mms record found. i been reading and cant find a solution. if anyone knows an easy fix i can do from the handheld, great, but i dont want to do somethign dramatic like reinstall the os etc.
i have a blackberry 9530. i had it off for almost one week because i had a low battery and when i had it on after charging it, it gave me "uncaught exception:java.lang.Error" and then displays only this functions as it is written:
addressbook battery log brick breaker calculator
[code]....
i cant do anything with my blackberry again. i cant make calls, see the menu options, see wall paper. it displays the platform to be 4.2.0.17. when i connect it to the internet using the usb, the appworld cant determine my phone. when you want to start a program like the battery log, it will display : error starting nte_rim_battery. module 'net_rim_bbapi_phone' not found".
Yesterday I hooked my Storm I to my computer to make a backup as I do each month. Desktop Manager told me that a componet on the phone had an update so I let it go trough the process. My phone restarted during the update and then entered into a seemingly endless cycle of restarting.I tried reconnecting my phone but to no avail it would only contiue it's cycle. I then followed the instructions on how to save a nuked berry but every time it would get to the point of restarting the phone it would get stuck in that cycle again. This morning I took my phone to my local VZW store and explained what happened. The tech replaced my phone with a refurb. I came home and hooked it up to my computer to restore my contacts and the phone went to a white screen and restarted. Yet again it was stuck in this endless cycle until I unplugged it. When I removed this one from the computer it would boot like normal.I tried this a number of times with the same result. I then removed desktop manger and the phone software from my computer along with all drivers and RIM related files. I restarted then downloaded desktop manager and reinstalled. I restarted my computer again for good measure then tried to restore my contacts again. Sadly the same thing happened - once I plug the phone in a white screen comes up and it restarts over and over. Hopefully someone has an idea because I'm lost.
One second I'm texting my friend. Next second I get a white screen that says JVM Error. I restart the phone, and EVERY ******* THING IS GONE. CONTACTS, CALANDER APPOINTMENTS, MEMOS, GONE. Why? This phone...This phone is a piece of JUNK. I've had it for over a year now. This..over 100 contacts I have to get b ack. This is fantastic.
my screen stopped working so I went into verizon and they replaced my phone (9530). I went home and it was working great, when I went to plug it into my computer I got a WSOD that said MTP error and restarted the phone. I tried on two different computers at home both with desktop manager on them but both of them cause this error and restart as soon as i plug it in so im not able to update the os, backup, restore, or do anything via my computer. I went back into verizon today and switched out phones again, luckily I took my laptop in with me to test it out. This phone is doing the same thing. We plugged it into the computer at verizon and hooked it up to desktop manager and it worked fine.
I went to the Verizon place a couple of days ago to see if they could get my phone to stop freezing and running slow. Well they accidentally deleted over half my pictures and my phone is the only place I have those pictures. Well luckily, I thought, I have a backup file and my pictures will be on there. But whenever I try to run it I get the error "data not recognized by desktop!" Some of these pictures are really really important to me and I want them back. Is there anything I can do to make the backup file work? Will it even contain the pictures? I have a blackberry storm and the verizon place said I have the most updated software.
I wish there was an easy way for me to portray the amount of disdain I have for my Storm at this time, however, that won't do me any good!I'm just looking to get some insight to my problem and whether or not it can be resolved! It would be really unfortunate if I had to replace my lump of a phone as I am a college student that just moved away from home and am in the middle of my two-year contract. My phone is still in operating order minus the faulty touchscreen, it still receives messages, emails, and even phone calls. All the side buttons work, in short, the screen is just dead.I did not drop it nor spill any liquids on it and I've performed a plethora of battery pulls. I'm at a loss!Let me describe the events that occurred before (seemingly) death of my touchscreen. I was at a friends house preparing for a 9/11 5k race when I noticed my battery was running low so I left it in a safe place to quietly run out of steam because I had no need to carry a phone during a race. At this point it was still fully functional. After the race, I check my phone to see if it was out of power yet which it was. I get home later that night and charge it only to rudely surprised by an inoperable screen. I cleaned the screen and did a few battery pulls afterwards in hopes it was only a minor problem to no avail.
A little hardware information that may be of use:
Verizon Carrier
OS .328
I was also in a moderate car crash the day prior so perhaps that may have caused some problems? Externally, my phone is in mint condition. I suppose this just hasn't been my week!
According to bbleaks, it sounds as though there insinuating that an OS leak for Storm 9500/9530 will be coming within the next week or so. If its true then sweet! Can't wait!
I am installing cell tracker software to my phone and was instructed to transfer 5 .jar and .tar type files to my phone after transferring the files and installing the app it does not run and I get error screen "Uncaught Exception: Java.Lang.NoclassDeffound Error" when I try to run the app. I have been told that there has been some error in transferring the files correctly to my cell phone from my PC.
My phone keeps coming up Uncaught exception.java.lang.nullpointerexception when I go to check a SMS text. I get notifications that I have new texts but cannot check them without getting this error.
My wife's BB IM quit working after a firmware update. Now she gets "Uncaught exception:
java.lang.NullPointerException" error. I have done a hard reset, and uninstalled the messenger a couple times, however she still gets the error. One of the reasons to get the BB was for this feature
Today I got an "uncaught exception error" after I pulled the headset adapter out while listening to music without hitting the pause button first then holstering the phone. It must've happened a couple of times before without the error appearing because a couple of times in the last week when I hit menu I noticed "playing now" was missing, even though I was in the middle of an album. Anyone get this? IDK if I should install the Sprint version over this.
Im using blackberry bold 9900, platform 5.0.0.464 today it suddenyl gives me the white screen with words on it and there's a box of message saying "uncaught exception:java.lang.NulPointerException uncaught exception:java.lang.Error uncaught exception:applicationRegistry.waitFor(0xe592d8ae7c1ca955)timeout" etc. When it becomes like this, the phone doesnt response to any key i pressed I have searched the net seeking some help,i saw people solved this problem by starting the phone with "Safe Mode" but it seems i cant get it started with the"safe mode"
it's a blackberry bold 9700there's an error saying "uncaught exception: pplicationregistry.wait for (0x7c802477365c3985) time out.i cannot make or receive calls.and when i turn off /on my phone there's another error saying: index 3>7=3;uncaught exception: application registry.wait for (0x7c802477365c3985) owner died thread [thread -1135400965]
I recently had an error message come up on my blackberry curve 8520 saying 'uncaught exception 3', this message now comes up every time i switch my phone on. I originally thought it was from one of my apps that i had downloaded and now removed from my device. My keypad is now not completely working. I would like to also save all my contacts to my sim as i don't want to lose them all if my phone does break altogether.
My BB 9700 which I've had for about 3 yrs has suddenly died! I get an error mesage saying "uncaught exception: 3 > =3 followed by a white screen saying erro 523, I've tried downloading update etc but it simply won't let me. Please can somebody tell me how to cleab install when my BB won't connect to my PC? It's recognised in the blue tooth application
My Storm 1 crashed Sunday night with message on screen stating 'Reload Softwares 552'. I called Verizon Tech Support and they just ended up giving me a brand new Storm 2 for free! All I had to do was re-sign my contract for another two years. Gonna miss my Storm 1 but the Storm 2 is sweet! Just got it today. Anyone wanting to upgrade, try using that excuse.
