I installed the official release for OS 5... and On boot I keep getting the following error
Uncaught Exception: Application net_rim_bb_phone_app(54) is not responding; process terminated {ok}
I press okay and the phone seems to run okay, but it bugs me, any ideas?
I'm running the newest OS 5.0.0.681, and every time I reboot I get an "uncaught exception java.lang.Error". After I hit "OK" everything seems to run fine, but the error just won't go away. This is the second time it's doing this...the first time it happened I thought a wipe and reinstall would fix it, but it just came back. I don't know what app might be causing this (if it's indeed an app).
The third-party ones I have installed are:

Gmail
Google Maps
Ka-Glom
Pandora
Poynt
UberTwitter
WeatherBug
I also have App World, Twitter for BlackBerry, and Facebook installed. I've tweaked dozens of times with Application Permissions but the little error just won't go away!
I got some troubles with my BB.
1-the recieved calls and dialed numbers are no more displayed only missed calls remains on the phone
2- the following error notification"uncaught exception:java.lang.NullException" appears while trying to access to some functions.
OK my quick launch weather is not working i tried everything, It installed successful it says but after it says that this popped up Uncaught exception: Module with handle [5068] and index [0] has no application entry point. I uninstalled then reinstalled it,, battery pulled nothing is working. Im on 4.5.0.186 metro pcs 8330m curve

View 5 Replies View RelatedLast night my battery was on the point of dying. It was in standby mode with the light flashing orange but when i went to press some buttons, nothing. It wouldn't respond to anything so i removed and re-inserted the battery (without having it on charge). When it did finally fire back up my home page was adorned with the message 'Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerException' (with a highlighted OK option). But it's completely frozen. I can't press ok. I can't scroll onto anything else. I can't turn off the handset, Ctrl Shift Delete doesn't respond. Nothing. I've replaced the battery numerous times, charged the phone, removed and reinserted the sim.

View 9 Replies View RelatedToday I got an "uncaught exception error" after I pulled the headset adapter out while listening to music without hitting the pause button first then holstering the phone. It must've happened a couple of times before without the error appearing because a couple of times in the last week when I hit menu I noticed "playing now" was missing, even though I was in the middle of an album. Anyone get this? IDK if I should install the Sprint version over this.

I originally thought it was from one of my apps that i had downloaded and now removed from my device. My keypad is now not completely working. View 2 Replies View RelatedA couple of months ago the What's App application required an update. I updated it and ever since my phone has steadily had more and more issues. First, I kept getting this uncaught error message, shortly thereafter the 2 email accounts (both gmail) that I have linked to the account disappeared. The message icon shows that I have messages, but icons not there (I have tried the show all option). At one point the message icon started exponentially adding the number of messages until it got up to over 86,000. When I reboot the phone it goes back down and then steadily increases again. usually though it's more to 400 - 500 rather then tens of thousands. I have been trying to install updates and do a wipe of the BB so that I can start from scratch, unfortunately the application loader is unable to back up data. The desktop manager is unable to connect to the blackberry and indicates that an upgrade is required. I have tried doing the upgrade both directly from the phone and connected to the desktop manager, but nothing seems to work. If I try to upgrade the software directly from the BB, I get to the start download button and when I click, nothing happens. I have removed all applications except bberry app world and one game that I play, Pixelated Plus. Still nothing.

Tried deleting the app,removing battery while the phone was still on and even tried upgrading the OS to 6. But of no avail. Teribbly disappointed that BB has such issues with the most basic requirement of adding and editing contacts.

I did a battery pull and my phone came back on, only to see an error message saying "error application uncaught exception" or something along those lines, and my SMS app had been deleted from my phone. i clicked "show all" and nothing came up. i tried to connect it to blackberry desktop manager twice to update the software to see if that had any effect but it kept getting stuck on the back up on my computer, so I disconnected it both times. I tried to install the software update on my phone itself, and now its stuck on the back up data page (again) but this time on my phone. It says "social feeds 0%" and "overall back up progress 5%". At times when I reboot my handheld it shows Uncaught exception 9 > = 9 or Uncaught exception 7 > = 7. I read a bit about it on the forums and found it may be because the system has an if command but there is no end command which may cause this error. Now I am technically not very sound and want to know what should I do to eradicate this problem!!

I downloaded the games Sleepy Hollow and Final Battle yesterday. Sleepy Hollow works fine but when I tried to run Final Battle, the game freezes and I get the error "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException". Then my alarm clock stopped working - at least the sound did. I have had to take out the battery to restart the phone a coule of times. Can anyone help me with this? I have a BB Curve 8520.
