I have recently updated my blackberry software to version 6.0 Bundle 2949 and also my desktop software to 7.0.043(Bundle 44). The problem is that i cannot sync my phone with my PC anymore.It gets stuck on preparing sync preview.Would even be willing to revert to old versions of software and desktop.
View 1 RepliesI've got a BB9700, Bold 2.At home, Outlook, it syncs happily. At work, with Lotus Notes, it crashed when "updating the devide calendar". There was no issue a few months ago doing exactly the same thing.I'm not sure if it's related, but for some stupid reason I installed Facebook and accidently got the calendar to sync with facebook. I have now removed all entries for the Facebook calendar and al the Service book for Facebook calendar, so it now doesn't appear anywhere.
Facebook is blocked by works firewall, so I therefore assumed that was the problem, hence deleting all my calendar entries associated to Facebook.I've tried syncing with both Bluetooth and the cable.
I was hoping one of you fine lads could fix my problem. I currently have a blackberry curve 8320 gold with tmobile. In the past i have used microsoft office to sync my contacts and calendar with my phone but just recently it will not sync my calendar. It only syncs my contacts. Its quite frusturating. Right now I have a Dell vostro 1510 running Windows 7 64 bit with microsoft office 2007.

After I select my phone from the list of devices an attempt is made to install all the needed drivers. 2 of 3 install automatically. The 3rd is 'not found'. I would imagine this is the problem. So far I have researched and attempted every possible fix I could find on the Internet, including manually selecting drivers as directed.Without this driver the desktop program does NOT SEE my device. Even so, I AM connected with my computer via bluetooth. I can force files to be be sent and/or received between my phone and computer but would really like the automatic ability to have everything synced without the need to plug in a cable.
View 6 Replies View RelatedRecently when I synced my BlackBerry with Outlook I found that my All Day Events listed in outlook appeared from 12:00 am to 11:59 pm on my BlackBerry calendar rather at the top like a regular All Day Event. Also my time zone keeps changing from Mountain (-7) to Eniwetok (-12) every time I sync. Does anyone know why this is happening and why my time zone changes every time I sync with Outlook? Also if I try to change the event on my BB to all day event and then sync it with Outlook the event on Outlook goes from All Day Event to 12:00 am to 11:59 pm.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI like the Samsung calendar app but installed Google calendar as well and synced them so that if I lost my phone, all of my calendar data would still be on the desktop site through Google. It worked when I first installed it months ago. I just signed on and noticed that nothing but birthdays are on the desktop site but everything that I've entered into the Samsung mobile app IS on the Google calendar app on my S5. I've tried syncing everything through both mobile apps and the desktop, as well as followed the instructions through Google's calendar desktop site.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI successfully upgraded to DM6 recently. Frankly I use DM only to sync contacts, because I need to sync three Outlook contact folders, and the wireless sync will sync no more than one contact folder.
After the first sync, for some of my contacts, their photo had disappeared - but only in Outlook, they're still there in the handheld's address book.I've tried to deduct why some photos get deleted and most not, but can't see any logic. Apparently the handheld reports (falsely) that there is no picture for that contact, causing Outlook to delete it. I am afraid that the next sync will make those photos disappear from the handheld, too.
I've searched on a number of forums but didn't find anything on this bug. I hope someone can help me out to fix this. Of course I do have backups of the contact folders, but I need to make sure that after laboriously repairing the affected contacts, the photos will not disappear again at sync.Dell Precision 380 running Win7 with Outlook 2k7 connected to Exchange 2k7 and a BES. The handheld is a Bold 9700 with firmware v5.0.0.545. The DM syncs over USB.

BB DTM crashes error: Blackberry device manager has stopped working a problem has occurred.
I have tried this on a system running XP, office 2007 and BB DTM 4.7 & 5.01 and have had the same error, every-time.
I've seen this many times on these threads but I have not seen any answers. Whenever I try to use media sync (3.0 i believe it is) it all works fine until i press the sync button, windows 7 will then ask me if i want to scan and fix the media card i have installed and then media sync will come up with the error message 'some files were not transferred. there was insufficient space or the blackberry device was disconnected.' When i scan it nothing is wrong and then when i try to sync it again, the exact same thing happens, in the same order.

I have Windows Vista operating system and every time I try to use Intellisync to sync my Yahoo Address book with the device the program stops working. What am I doing wrong? I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
A client of ours had upgraded his version of Desktop manager to 6 from 5.something.There is no more link for the Redirector under START - PROGRAMS - BLACKBERRY..The icon for the redirector still shows up in his start menu, however, it says that it's not started.Where can I find the software with the new desktop manager? I've tried reinstalling the desktop manager already but still cannot find it, nor were there any options during the installation to include it.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.

The one area that does not sync is the calendar. Changes in my desktop sync to the Blackberry, but changes in the Blackberry will not sync to the desktop. I have checked the settings umpteen times and had others check them. i have removed all Cical entries on the Blackberry. I have completely re-set the Blackberry and settings.

Currently i'm using my Blackberry calendar to keep me updated about my appointments. However, I would like to access this calendar on my Mac aswell, is there any way of doing this properly? I've tried the Ical --> Google Calendar --> Blackberry Calendar way, but it doesn't seem to work. If possible I would like to have the possiblity to sync this agenda from Blackberry to Mac and vice versa. Ow, by the way, I do not necessarily need the Blackberry calendar.

The link takes me to the BB site for software, but it directs me to the same version of DM I already have. I've even uninstalled and installed again hoping that would help.I read in the BB troubleshooting forum that the most current is 1.0.3 build 23, but the one I'm using is build 19. Which is also the one that is linked to on the site I'm just lost how do I get to build 23?I also posted this in the Mac section a couple days ago, but no response.

After doing some backups and so, yesterday I started the sofware, conected the 9700 but the situation is different. Desktop appears gray, it recognizes my phone PIN and model, but it doesnt works. It appears freeze. Also the phone icons appears freezed. Shows the PC and the phone, but none moves. I tried with other PC, but the situations remains similar. What is happening?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo, I just upgraded to a new Bold 9700 w/ Desktop Mgr 5.0.1.
I understand the complications some experience with this, and have diagnosed nearly everything (firewalls, virus protection, USB connection works, full/clean uninstall of old DTM, etc, etc.).
The unit is recognized by my PC and DTM. I can successfully search and download software updates, but I continue to get this error about "Your computer must be connected to the internet to perform this operation." It's maddening!
I use a stand alone PC running XP and using Outlook 2003. I'm not on any network. Don't use BES. I transferred all data from an old 8130 to this with no problem, I just can't get the initial sync to happen.
The only remaining solutions I've read about (although don't really understand) are:
1. ensuring COMM ports 80 and/or 443 are open to the device. How exactly do I do this? Really, I have no clue what that means.
2. Finding an old version of Destop Manager (4.2 and earlier). Got a URL handy?
3. changing my bberry router configuration. This sounds drastic, but at least it's a workaround.
I recently opened my BB desktop manager and it told me an update was available. I updated as suggested to v.6.0 and it seemed to download and open fine but since that initial time when it opened automatically after downloading I haven't been able to open it at all and keep getting a message saying that BB Desktop Software has stopped working.I've tried uninstalling and then reinstalling and it's not made any difference. I'm running Windows 7 on my PC.
