For the last few months, my sms and emails keep getting deleted automatically every few days. I am no sure if this has anything to do with blackberry protect which I have been using for sometime.
View 1 RepliesMy emails over 30 days are being deleted automaticallyFor my personal Gmail account on my BB, under Options, Message display and Actions, Days to Keep Messages, it's set to "forever".However my emails are only kept for 30 days, anything older would get deleted. I've tried changing the "forever" option down to 180, and 90 days, restart the phone, and change it back to "forever", however emails over 30 days are still being deleted.Does anyone else have this problem?I have 2 email accounts synced, the gmail one, and another university email (which oddly enough, does not have this issue)Btw I'm on a 9900 in Vodafone UKII was on 7.1.342 and eventually updated to .391 and the issue is still here

The weird is the names of the senders are still on the list but when you open them one by one the messages are gone. The ones automatically deleted are not even old text messages, they are just 4 days old. The names are also in color green. I hate deleting important text messages. Tried backing up my sms and restore them but when backing up, the ones deleted are ofcourse gone, so obviously I cannot restore anything that is gone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have installed the 2.3.4 update 3 days before and after that I have noticed that my E-mails are getting deleted automatically from INBOX. I have configured the default E-mail client with POP3 configuration. Everyday older mails are getting deleted from INBOX automatically. Strange thing is that older mails are getting deleted from INBOX only (not from TRASH or SEND box). With 2.3.3 I was not getting this issue. I was able to view 2-3 days older mails also in 2.3.3. But after installing 2.3.4, whenever I'm opening INBOX, Older mails are getting replaced with new mails automatically. I want my older emails to be in INBOX also.

The official BB distributor in China and customer service of China Mobile are not able to give any solution that makes sense.

It is not deleted by me or any other person. Is there any option to get back all those messages. One more thing, in Nokia C5 there is no option to mute the sound of the camera.

I use my BB Curve 9300 for work (Outlook 2007) and for personal use. My emails are being deleted after they are 7 days old and then when I scroll thru my emails it goes to weird dates with only 1 email there. Also, my texts are being deleted after only a few days...so frustrating!!! I have to be able to go back thru my emails. I went and looked at my memory thinking I was out of memory, but I have 3.0 gb of memory avaliable.

Some time ago an daily recurring Outlook calendar entry was deleted, but it still shows on my BB calendar. When I delete this recurring entry from my BB it comes back one day later. I therefore want to reset my calendar, but when I connect via BB Desktop Mgr it does not allow me to delete my calendar entries. I do not know what to do anymore and I find it rather frustrating to delete the entry every day or leave it in my BB calendar.

I have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."

I tried RIM support & they said they have no way of doing this as the emails do not stay on there server at all. I have lost emails from Oct of 2011 that I had kept on my device. After I've deleted emails from my accounts on the computer, BB still shows all those unread emails. How can I refresh the BB so it matches? I don't want to delete everything twice. My wireless synchronization is definitely on.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI am with Rogers and I started with the Curve-an awesome phone with no issues- then I bought the Playbook and it wasn't able to bridge so I upgraded to the Torch in August. The phone was such a pain, everytime I talked on it it would hit the speakerphone, so I gave it to my daughter a few months ago and bought the New Bold 9900 because I heard it was much better. So wrong. I am on my second Bold phone because it heats up and the battery doesn't last long at all.
Now I have had it freeze when I am typing, turning it on, scrolling, etc. It has now started erasing my emails on me, which I need for work and have now lost!!!! It randomly puts up this RIM error message. Rogers says it needs a task killer but I have no clue. I have bought Blackberry hones and Playbooks for my family and have been a loyal Blackberry user- laughing at my father and his inferior fruit phone and pad but I am starting to wonder. All my emails and text messages call logs get deleted after 30 days. however the SMSs stay forever. It was happening to me on OS7, I upgraded to OS 7.1 and its still the same.I tried the following,1. Setting the keep messages option in Messages > Options > message display to 'forever' , 180 days , 90 days etc.2. Battery pull for quite number of times3. Installed newer build of the OS.

when i lock my keypad on my bb and then get a text message, email or BBM. I unlock my phone after taking it out of the pouch and it automatically opens my messages

After a while, SMS messages are being removed from my phone. The contact that I was messaging still stays open on my messages application. However instead of the usual white message icon that should appear, the green icon appears usually suggesting that a message is being composed by myself and has not yet been sent. When I click on the message thread, it is totally blank and no messages appear.
