All my emails and text messages call logs get deleted after 30 days. however the SMSs stay forever. It was happening to me on OS7, I upgraded to OS 7.1 and its still the same.I tried the following,1. Setting the keep messages option in Messages > Options > message display to 'forever' , 180 days , 90 days etc.2. Battery pull for quite number of times3. Installed newer build of the OS.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI am with Rogers and I started with the Curve-an awesome phone with no issues- then I bought the Playbook and it wasn't able to bridge so I upgraded to the Torch in August. The phone was such a pain, everytime I talked on it it would hit the speakerphone, so I gave it to my daughter a few months ago and bought the New Bold 9900 because I heard it was much better. So wrong. I am on my second Bold phone because it heats up and the battery doesn't last long at all.
Now I have had it freeze when I am typing, turning it on, scrolling, etc. It has now started erasing my emails on me, which I need for work and have now lost!!!! It randomly puts up this RIM error message. Rogers says it needs a task killer but I have no clue. I have bought Blackberry hones and Playbooks for my family and have been a loyal Blackberry user- laughing at my father and his inferior fruit phone and pad but I am starting to wonder. Is there something I can do

View 10 Replies View RelatedI started the contract in November 2011 with a Torch 9860.I had numerous problems with the phone freezing and randomly losing data such as texts, call logs and emails. In 9 months I've had 5 phones and 1 sim card change, 2 weeks ago BT changed the handset to a Torch 9810. The phone has worked fine till Friday when it started doing funny things like randomly receiving texts which were from old conversations. On saturday afternoon it lost all data by way of texts, call logs and emails that were over 24 hours old and in the last hour has lost everything over 6 hours old.I have all calls, texts and emails going into the messages list and have that set to save everything for ever so I can chose when to delete information.As I;m a consultant I need my call logs, texts and emails to work out my billing so this really is a pain.

If there a settings to see the details of all the calls.The same goes with Received Calls and Dialled numbers call logs, only the last is shown.

I've tried changing the "forever" option down to 180, and 90 days, restart the phone, and change it back to "forever", however emails over 30 days are still being deleted.Does anyone else have this problem?I have 2 email accounts synced, the gmail one, and another university email (which oddly enough, does not have this issue)Btw I'm on a 9900 in Vodafone UKII was on 7.1.342 and eventually updated to .391 and the issue is still here
View 1 Replies View RelatedSo my boss tossed his phone at me chewing me out because it "doesn't work". I cycle the power and ask what's wrong, his phone will display that a new email has arrived it will download and it will read but once it is read the email disappears never to be found on the phone again. The message is still usable on the computer but for the phone it's 1 and done. I checked out the email options on both the computer and the phone and there's no auto archive to a pst or anything. I really don't want to reset to default because I'm sure there's "important" stuff on the phone that will lead to working over the weekend. The phone also will display missed calls (legit missed calls) but won't show who or when the call was missed.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSpanish Vodafone changed my BB 3 times, 2 9800 and now I have the 9900 but the follwing problem is not solved:When outside of Spain, BBM and emails should work with a WiFi connection, with data roaming disabled. It does not work on the above mentioned BB`s. Wifi itself works fine abroad and there are no problems in Spain. If I change the sim card into my Storm 2, all works fine abroad.

View 5 Replies View RelatedOK I had to call 911 last night for the first time on my new BB after witnessing a Hit & Run, and when later filling out a statement for the police, They wanted the time of the accident in my statment. Well i went to my BB to look up in the call Log to see what time i called, but the 911 Call dose not show up in the call log.
Is this normal? Is there another way to find the call log info for that call, or dose BB not keep records of it? I Just got my BB late dec so I'm still faiirly new to BB's

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."

I tried RIM support & they said they have no way of doing this as the emails do not stay on there server at all. I have lost emails from Oct of 2011 that I had kept on my device. View 2 Replies View RelatedI own a Torch 9800 and since yesterday, the missed call log won't clear. so everytime I need it to clear, I need to pull out the battery, put it back i, however, as soon as I get another missed call, the same happens, i.e. I have to pull out every time I get a missed call for it to clear.
