My email messages get deleted or simply disappear from Blackberry device within 10-15 days despite the fact that "Days to Keep Messages" option is set to 180 days. Free memory under device information is currently listed at 12,981,073 bytes. All messages are kept and evailable on Yahoo email server.

View 1 Replies View RelatedA few months ago, I purchased a BlackBerry Bold 9780 for personal use, with T-Mobile service. I'm on OS 6.0 Bundle 1879, using BlackBerry Desktop Software v. 6.1.0.35. I set up six email accounts on the BB device; each is a web-based, POP account hosted by GoDaddy, and each is also set up on my desktop computer Outlook (with messages for all six accounts set to be deleted from each host account upon download to Outlook). I am not using BlackBerry Enterprise Server or MS Exchange Server.For a couple of months, everything worked fine. Email received by any of the six accounts was received at about the same time on Outlook and my BB device. Synchronization of Calendar appointments for my BB-device default account worked fine in both directions. (I understand that BlackBerry Desktop Software is incapable of synching appointments from email accounts other than the account set as default on the BB device, which is a significant limitation but not the subject of this post.)Since BB's disastrous outage in October, I have experienced major problems with email received and appointments related to my BB-device default account (only):
1) Email for my BB-device default account that is received in Outlook takes at least two days to push through to my BB device, and is usually never received on the BB device. This problem does not effect the other five email accounts set up on my BB device; all six accounts are hosted by GoDaddy and are owned by me.
2) Calendar appointments do not synchronize in either direction between Outlook and my BB device.
3) Calendar appointments sent from my BB device are frequently not received by recipients.
Hi, wasn't sure if this was the best forum to post this issue in or not. I have yahool email through BIS on my Storm 2. Recently, my blackberry fails to sync with messages deleted in my yahoo inbox. I have to go on the device and delete the email a second time. Has anyone else had this issue or can you offer any advice to fix the issue?
I have tried waiting an hour or more to see if the blackberry will reconcile and remove the messages. Also, I go into my email and select reconcile now. These things did not work. I have not changed any of my email sync settings from when the blackberry was syncing fully. They are still set to inbox wins. Also, I even tried resending service books and deleting/reinstalling the yahoo email. None of these have worked so far!
my AOL email account keeps sending me emails although i have deleted the app and the service books! and the BIS thing wont work either!

My emails are being deleted after they are 7 days old and then when I scroll thru my emails it goes to weird dates with only 1 email there. Also, my texts are being deleted after only a few days...so frustrating!!! I have to be able to go back thru my emails. I went and looked at my memory thinking I was out of memory, but I have 3.0 gb of memory avaliable.

I can use my gmail account and Mail Xchange accounts but the problem is only with yahoo.

Same old song - I accidently deleted text messages from my Sprint Samsung Galaxy s5. I see a post from 2011 saying this cannot be done with Sprint. Now in 2015 has anything changed? I'm waiting on hold forever with Sprint, got disconnected, now on hold again.

After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.
I did a search throughout the forums to see if others were having this issue or knew how to resolve it. I'm new to the Blackberry so any help would be greatly appreciated. For some reason my device is not letting me download previous emails. It does download new incoming messages but that's it.

Texts older than 2 days no longer appear when I click on SMS/MMS on my home screen. Is there a setting I dont know about? When I was running 4.7 all my text messages appeared until I manually deleted them.

I can only get to those emails by selecting "View Folder", then "Inbox"...I can then see all my email. However, if I close the Messages then and reopen, it shows my email as of 3 days ago.

From 5 days now, I can't use yahoo messenger. I have a Bold 9000 and when I'm sending messenger to computer PC / MAC the person doesn't receive, on other telephones it does. I have friends with other models of blackberry and they have the same problem. Do you have a solution? I delete the application, I update... It's still working yahoo messenger on blackberry or not?

I even tried completely deleting the call log the last time it happened. I even had the service center process a softeware update as the phone was running a bit slow last month.

I have my gmail account set up ages ago and was able to delete an email and it would ask me whether I wanted to delete it from the mailbox and handheld or handheld only etc .Recently , that option disappeared , the only option would be "delete" and "cancel" . My other email account is still running fine . I tried deleting and adding the email account again , sent service books , battery pulls , nothing is working . I made sure that the circle is shaded in when it says "sync deleted items."

For the past 2 days, I have been unable to receive any of my Outlook emails to my phone. View 4 Replies View RelatedI am with Rogers and I started with the Curve-an awesome phone with no issues- then I bought the Playbook and it wasn't able to bridge so I upgraded to the Torch in August. The phone was such a pain, everytime I talked on it it would hit the speakerphone, so I gave it to my daughter a few months ago and bought the New Bold 9900 because I heard it was much better. So wrong. I am on my second Bold phone because it heats up and the battery doesn't last long at all.
Now I have had it freeze when I am typing, turning it on, scrolling, etc. It has now started erasing my emails on me, which I need for work and have now lost!!!! It randomly puts up this RIM error message. Rogers says it needs a task killer but I have no clue. I have bought Blackberry hones and Playbooks for my family and have been a loyal Blackberry user- laughing at my father and his inferior fruit phone and pad but I am starting to wonder. All my emails and text messages call logs get deleted after 30 days. however the SMSs stay forever. It was happening to me on OS7, I upgraded to OS 7.1 and its still the same.I tried the following,1. Setting the keep messages option in Messages > Options > message display to 'forever' , 180 days , 90 days etc.2. Battery pull for quite number of times3. Installed newer build of the OS.
