View 1 RepliesI've tried and tried to solve this - if anyone can help then that would be fab.On my BB Bold 9700 I've got too many message icons.I've got one for my work email - useful...One for my SMS and MMS - useful. One for my personal email - useful. And one stupid one that wants to group all the messages into one place and mix then up and notify me (even though the other ones already notify me) etc etc.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI tried to delete the instant message folder from the bb. the folder disappeared but the icons leading me to yahoo messenger and google talk are now locked onto my home screen. you can only opn them. no option for delete or move. i just want them to disappear so i can out my most used icons up there.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThe Email and Text message icons on my Bold are unresponsive when I press either the keypad to access or use the touch screen. All the other icons are fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way to have multiple message icons pointing at the same email account just each one setup to view different folders within my account? I filter some emails to alternate folders to make is easier in outlook but would like separate message icons on my BB home screen instead of having all message sent to my main message icon. So I don't have to view all the junk mail with my personal email.

I am running a 9650 and have Desktop Manager for Mac.
I am new to the community and would appreciate any assistance. I have two recent problems for which I am seeking troubleshooting advice. The priority problem is mentioned first below.I've just encountered this error message, "For help resolving this issue, refer to KB19454 in the BlackBerry Desktop Manager Knowledge Base" when attempting to sync my Curve 8320. I use a Mac, and I haven't run into any difficulties syncing since downloading the newer version of the Desktop Manager for Mac in Dec/Jan. I haven't been able to download the latest update though. I did see an early post by someone with the same difficulty, but I was unclear of the question posed, and thus I am hopeful for potential suggestions for resolution. The additional problem I've recently experienced is that I can't compose an SMS/MMS message. I can only reply to someone's message. When I try to simply send one, the screen defaults back to the list of messages. Please Note: I do not have wireless on my phone. I utilize Blackberry Desktop Manager Version 1.0.1 .Please also note that I am not able to access electronic messages daily but will attempt to return any responses/inquires as quickly as possible.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI've read a few threads on changing the Icons on the start-up screen, by altering the order that the application appear, and moving them so they are the first appliactions to on the applications screen. But I have Icons that are present on Home screen (desktop) that don't appear as an application on the application screen? Here is my delema: My current theme (VODAFONE WHITE) has the front page menu order of:
Voice Mail
Call Log
Email
Text/Media Messages
Calander
But I want to change the theme... except "Voice Mail" isn't an application and therefore its not a movable application to make it appear on the front screen. I would dearly love a new theme (vodafone white is lame!) but it offers exactly the menu I want..
How do I create "Voice Mail" to be an application so that I can move it to one of the first 5 positions and make it appear on the home screen?
Anyway to add more than the standard 6 icons on the home page/desktop with the Curve 8520?It's a right pain to press the button and 6 icons aren't enough (I don't like leaving apps open).

My Blackberry Curve 9330 running OS6 just started having some strange messages show up on the home screen next to the email notification icon underneath the time display. The first time was this morning when I got an red triangle with white exclamation point icon with the number 54 next to it. The only way to clear the error was with a battery pull. The second error came tonight when I heard a long, protracted beep from the blackberry and a red circle with white exclamation point icon with a 1 next to it appeared in the notification bar at the top where the previous error icon had been.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI'm going from a Samsung Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 6. I never thought it would be so different! On the GS3, certain icons would show "event counters" or whatever they're called in the top right corner. The email icon would show me how many unread emails I had. The Text Messaging app would show me how many unread texts i had. Facebook would show me how many unread notifications I had, etc etc... They were all the same, a number in a little orange bubble in the top right corner of each respective icon.
View 6 Replies View RelatedAfter recently updating the Desktop Manager to 5.0.1, the Redirector no longer operates. When opening it, i get the error message."Desktop Redirector has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry..."
I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
Periodically my Curve 3G will display a white screen with the message Connecting to Desktop. This can happen, for example, when I unlock my phone, or connect to a power supply. There is no way of removing the message apart from disconnecting the battery, and then rebooting. The phone cannot be used whilst it is displaying this message.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just did a hard reset (battery removal) on my Storm2 9550. When it finished booting, I started up the Desktop Software and connected the phone via USB. I got the following message:
This Blackberry device is using an MTP connection. Some media features require mass storage mode for your device, which will interrupt any active media transfer protocol (MTP) connections. Do you want to switch to mass storage mode?
I'm not sure exactly what this means or if I should answer 'Yes' or 'No'. (I didn't have any luck searching for that particular message online).
I upgraded Outlook from 2007 to 2010 about two weeks ago. Since then, I have been unable to sync my BlackBerry 8900 with Outlook. When I try to configure synchronization in Desktop Manager, I get an error message from Microsoft Outlook Connector saying, "No available message stores".
I have spend an enormous amount of time trying to fix this problem. I have read every thread I can find on the topic, and have tried all the suggestions. Nothing has worked.
Does anyone know what "No available message stores" means?Does anyone know what Microsoft Outlook Connector does?Does anyone know where the actual problem lies?Does anyone know how I can get this problem fixed?
My environment:
Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit
Outlook 2010 32-bit
BlackBerry 8900
OS 4.6.1.231
BlackBerry Desktop Manager 5.0.1.16
Our PC shows : software correctly installed and working. Eventhough there appears on the monitor when trying to start the configuration of synchronisation immediately the message: "unknown failure" however without further details. Is it that there may be somebody to inform how to make the system work correctly ?

I had an important app. (Memos by bluemarblesoftware.com) that I accidentally deleted. It of course had many memos, some with quite a lot of information. I did sync my phone on a regular basis and I think the memos should be on the desktop computer. I tried to do a restore function but I got a message saying there was not enough room on the iPhone. How much room is needed?

When trying to sync I get a windows error that says BBerry Desktop Software has stopped working.I have uninstalled and installed twice and doesnt clear the problem.Windows does not provide further detail on the issue with the error, it just closes the desktop manager. For other models of BBerry I ready it could be a conflict with the SD media card, but I tried disabling it and I still get the same error.I didnt do any major installs to my laptop, It just suddenly started giving me this error. Although I know 2 days ago Windows 7 did an automated update of installs on the laptop.

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I try to sync my Outlook contacts or calendar, the sync setup wizard fails with "No available message stores". Searching this forum and elsewhere it seems that there are 2 usual ways to solve this:
1) Remove the Outlook Add-Ins, which I done and rebooted.
2) Delete mapi32.dll and run fixmapi.exe which I've done and verified there is a new mapi32.dll in system32.
I've read that people can connect just fine with Outlook 2010 Beta (x32), but I not sure about x64 Windows - Maybe that's the problem. Did I miss another common solution to this or does anyone have anything else I can try?
Does anyone know what this message is trying to say? I have an Outlook profile configured so the MAPI library should be able to find it just fine, but maybe I don't understand what the message is really trying to say.
