I tried to delete the instant message folder from the bb. the folder disappeared but the icons leading me to yahoo messenger and google talk are now locked onto my home screen. you can only opn them. no option for delete or move. i just want them to disappear so i can out my most used icons up there.

So last night I noticed that the icons on my panels are no longer together, but now lined up vertically! Not sure how this happened...I do know this happened right after I wasn't able to send any emails yesterday afternoon but once that cleared up the phone was working and looking as it normally does and then BAM! w/o warning the icons are now lined up.For instance, my media panel looks like this

This set up is annoying when I go to something like my Home screen panel that has a lot of icons...
I have a weired problem on my new 9900 (Vodafone, 7.0.0.296): Once I downloaded any app from the AppWorld I can not move it to any other place on the homescreen (not even to another folder). Every App which already was on the device when I got it is movable.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my Bold 9900 for less than 3 months and in the last week I have experienced the following issue: The screen stays lit up constantly, which is making the battery run out very quickly. When I press the lock button the screen turns off for about 5 seconds, then lights up again, and stays lit. I can't see anything in the Options menu that will fix it. As I say, the problem has only been occurring in the last week.

The alert/sound only appears for incoming bbm messages when I'm typing on bbm. the alert/sound is different than the sound that I set on the profile menu and the volume is much bigger. Can I deactivate this alert/sound?

I filter some emails to alternate folders to make is easier in outlook but would like separate message icons on my BB home screen instead of having all message sent to my main message icon. Originally all posted to one folder messages folder in the message 'center' where all the sms etc go into (middle of the screen icon at the top) i am not sure what has started to happen but suddenly i then had 2 messages folders and now i have 3. They all go to the same place and sometimes contain the same message which just appears in all 3.
I think this started when i started configuring the sync of the deletion of the folders "folder reconciliation". how i can delete these additional folders as they are just a nuicense they mean very little as mail is randomly flowing into them.
I've been instant messaging with a friend for awhile, but they can no longer reply. They see the message but can't reply?

The apps work fine, but as soon as i hit the "apple" button (or whatever it is called, the one at the bottom) to get to the "desktop" of my phone and I or the phone shuts down the screen it logs off my apps, which means that I cannot get people to write me whenever I am not sitting staring at the app.

The problem is, only 8 out of 18 receive a text. I go to the "text message" icon, press the blackberry button on "compose text message". When it asks "To:" I select from my contact list, my baseball team.
Some of the entries on my list have an email address only while others have both. What do I have to do to successfully reach everyone on the list? Would it work better if it were only email or mobile addresses? Does it matter whether they are MTS or Rogers customers for their cell phones? Do I require to add 1+then the area code for the cell phone numbers?
have recently updated to various software bundles, 7.1 1149. all fine except when receive message or have call the screen goes haywire and it takes 15 minutes for the screen to restore itself. have tried reloading software, keep getting error 507. should i perform a full factory reset on the device?
