Galaxy S5 :: Can App Icons Be Locked In Place

Here's my problem I carry my phone in my front pocket of my pants. So from time to time when I look at my phone the home screen now is set to the second page of apps. My phone app is on my home page but sometimes I have to search for the icon because it has moved. So here my question is there a way to lock the icon/apps in place so they can move with out unlocking them? I have tried to find a app for this but my search only address' the lock screen.

I updated my Samsung Galaxy S5 to Lollipop 5.0, and now when my screen is locked, the Verizon Wireless logo is in the upper left corner. I didn't mind it until I realized that I can no longer view any notification icons for texts, email, missed calls, etc. when my phone is locked. It's annoying to have to unlock my phone just to see if I have any notifications.how to move the logo somewhere else on the locked screen?

When my z2 is locked I am unable to see notification icons, like missed calls, messages and emails.

I tried to delete the instant message folder from the bb. the folder disappeared but the icons leading me to yahoo messenger and google talk are now locked onto my home screen. you can only opn them. no option for delete or move. i just want them to disappear so i can out my most used icons up there.

I've got an S5 (Verizon) with Lollipop, but this issue has been going on, at least a little, since 4.4. When I try to place a call, the little phone icon in the notification bar pops up for an instant and then goes away, and it never goes to the call screen. It usually just takes 2 tries but, especially when clicking on a favorite to call, it can take 3 or 4.
This is pretty irritating when I'm dialing a number, because once I try to call it, the number disappears and it doesn't appear in the recent call log, so I've got to punch it in again. I tried using a 3rd party phone app but it didn't make much of any difference.

Previous to my Verizon S6 getting the 5.1.1 update my phone would drain about 2% per hour on wifi. But now it's all over the place. On my work network it's still around 2%, but at home or public spaces it can get up to 4%. Is there anything I can do about this? All of my settings and appa are the same as they previously were.

I have transferred some photos to the device via usb, and I have others in my OneDrive account. I have installed OneDrive app, but the pictures there don’t appear in the Gallery app. Also – the Photos app (Google's app) show the photos from Picasa that I haven’t thought about in years, but it also doesn't show the pictures from OneDrive and the pictures that are on my device aren’t shown in the main view as well – I have to switch to "Device folders" to see them. I am a Windows user and I use OneDrive for cloud storage. Taking that into consideration, how can I review all my images in one place (those I have transferred to my device, those that are in OneDrive and those that I take with the phone)?

Right i know you can move the home screens around by pinching but you cant do the same for the app screens, basically when i got my phone everything im downloading and want to use is on the apps screen on page 4, well id like to put everything i use on page 4 onto page one, can i do this?And also how can i put icons that are in the apps screen onto my homescreen?

I have the S6, and am using the Google Launcher. I've been having an issue with my icons not staying put. Everything will be in place when I put my phone down, on the charger, or in the holster, and when I pick the phone up or pull it out of it's holster I'll find that some of the icons and/or folders are now on a completely different screen. Sometimes they are two or more screens over. When I go to move the icons myself, I know I have to really move them close to the edge of the screen in order for the next screen over to open up, so I don't believe it's a sensitivity issue with the touch screen.

I am using Wanam lite custom rom and for some reason, the arrows indicating that there is a data activity are not showing up. There is also no data icon like 4G/3G/R etc to show that I am connected to the internet.
My data is on as I can browse and internet is working fine but this is important as well. I have tried changing LTE value to 4G in CSC features but that did not work....

I booted my phone in safe mode and when I returned into normal mode many of my apps' icons are missing. They are missing both from the home screen as well as the app drawer. They are still installed. I can open them through Google play and I still get notifications. I tried a cache partition wipe with no luck. how to get them back?

My Instagram icon on my homescreen seems to have another picture or image on top of it.. Sort of replacing it... The first time this happened to me all my homescreen icons turned into the little android guy but I didn't get to screenshot this.. The only fix was restarting the phone.. Is it a virus attack or something.

i am locked out my samsung galaxy s5 phone. i went on the android device manager web and tried to do the whole step until i realized the location on my phone is off. so everytime i reset the password instead of getting the black screen and asked for a pin it keeps asking me for alternate password.i really dont want to do factory reset and lose all the pic memories i made with my kids and family. The memories i cant get back.

Was rooted with BOFJ 5.1.1 firmware, tried to install another firmware type, everything booted ok except my icons and keypad are opposite (reversed order) Tried my Twrp recovery... still the same, next clean install with odin 3 still the same. Searched and tried "Sanadca" thread.

I was using my phone earlier, everything was fine. I looked at it later, all my folders and icons are gone from my home page. The only thing on the page are the four things on the bottom. Phone, Chrome, Contacts and apps. I can get to everything from the app drawer, should be a simple matter to repopulate my home page. I've restarted my phone several times. I've both just restarted, and shut down, then restarted. All of my history seems to still be in the apps, I.e my email accts are signed in, my s-health history is there. The only thing that's changed are the icons have vanished from my home page. Phone is bone stock

Is there anyway to remove/hide the carrier name (AT&T) from the status bar? In my Moto X 2014, there was an option is the settings and it would remove the AT&T from the status bar but I can't find an option in the S6.
Also, is there a way to remove/hide the 'time' from the status bar?

This problem started today after the first of two updates from Verizon. AS you can see the screen icons are overlaying on top of each other, and makes it hard to read. Also as you scroll through the different main pages, the previous page icons are still in the background.
Also, at the top of the screen there appears to Ghost Image of the Signal strength and the Time and is not lined up.
Another problem that is quite irritating is the Contacts icon at the bottom of the screen does not work, and is why I have the other icon in the top 1/3 of the screen. NONE OF THE ICONS AT THE BOTTOM ARE RESPONDING.
