I have a BB Bold 9790, How do I unlock the screen? I do not have a password. I tried several basic ones as 000 999 123, but did not work. I understand from the forum I should not try 10 times, so I stopped trying. Is it possible to do a reset?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy battery was going on my phone so I went and got the charger and on my return my phone had died. I plugged this in and gave it the 5 mins to charge up a bit. However when this had loaded and turned on - my screen was locked. I clicked the side button to unlock this which asked me to type my password in! It wont allow me to typeit in .... its like my phone doesnt pick up the buttons I am pressing. After turning this on and off several times whilst also taking the sim card out etc etc it still wont allow me to do get in my phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedMy BB has been working fine. It's set to ask for a password if its been untouched for 10 mins and I've never had a problem with that. I do sometimes lock the keyboard by pushing the button top left, but again that's never been a problem. Right now the screen is blank. If I push the ball or any keys, nothing happens. If I plug in a charger the clock comes up, but still nothing works. If I remove the charger I then briefly see the screen and if I'm lucky pushing the ball brings up the "device is locked" screen with options saying unlock, emergency or cancel - but it stubbornly refuses to respond to pressing anything else, goes dim and then goes blank again. The battery has lots of power (it wasn't flat but has been charging anyway) and I've tried removing both the battery and sim card several times - all without success.

View 1 Replies View RelatedYet another problem with my Bold 9930 I'm sad at this point that the device I love so much is already dying on me, hasn't even been 3 months yet I'm going to mention all the problems with this device, but the one that started few weeks ago and has gotten to the point where it just adds on to the frustrationAfter locking the device, when i try to unlock, using the top lock button, I just see blank screen, screen and keypad lit up thou. Sometimes when i restart my device, it won't display the blackberry logo and the progress bar, i just get the blank lit up screen. and after 5 - 10 minutes or so, i use random buttons on the keypad to get the display back, but nothing works. i just see blank screen and lit up keypad. Display would randonly get back but its a pain in the &&& to get the device display back after so many tries

It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
I set a screen lock code today and used it several time with no problems. Tonight the unlock screen shows 'Enter Password to Unlock' but when I enter the pin code, it will not unlock.

Now when I use the phone and it goes in lock after I'm not using it I cant get to see the unlock screen by pressing the home key. The screen just goes black and stays black. The only way I can get it to come back on it by pressing and holding the two buttons the one time for about 30 seconds.

When I use face unlock, or pattern unlock, when the phone gors to slee, and I press the power button I just get a black screen where the pattern unlock or face unlock feature should. The the only way to unlock the phone is to keep the power button press as is Im about to turn the phone off, and then cancel....then I get get the pattern unlock screen.
