I just receently undated my iphone and restored it although I lost all of my pictures and contacts. Now when I use the phone and it goes in lock after I'm not using it I cant get to see the unlock screen by pressing the home key. The screen just goes black and stays black. The only way I can get it to come back on it by pressing and holding the two buttons the one time for about 30 seconds.

When ever I try to unlock (dragging lock button from left to right) , I am unable to unlock in one go. It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
I set a screen lock code today and used it several time with no problems. Tonight the unlock screen shows 'Enter Password to Unlock' but when I enter the pin code, it will not unlock.

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iphone 4 screen wont light up. I press the power button and it just flashes and shows me the screen. But the phone is on. The screen is completely black though. the person i got it from replaced the battery saying it was the battery that was causing the issue. Then it happened again. And someone recently said it was the new battery that was the problem. it could be fake or a bad battery bought off of ebay. which is where i bought the iphone from. So maybe the person bought the battery off ebay as well. But to summarize my issue. I push the power button and it flashes the lock screen. if i push it again nothing happens, because thats when the screen is supposed to shut down so you can save battery life like it normally does. But pushing it to show the screen only makes it flash, it doesnt stay lit. could the battery affect it like this? should I buy a new one and try it out? if so, does any one know of a genuine battery I can buy? one that wouldnt fail me?

At the slide to unlock screen, it lets me slide the slider, but it freezes when i slide it all the way, then it displays a black screen with a wheel in the middle after about 30 seconds. Then it turns off. I decided to restore, and when I did, it displayed me with the iphone set up menu, but when I slide to unlock, the same thing happens. Pressing the home and sleep/wake button until the device turns off and the apple logo comes up doesn't work either.

Since yesterday all the sudden my iphone 3gs is freezing at the slide to unlock screen. You can slide it over and then after a few minutes the phone will go to the circle with the lines on it screen then all the sudden stop doing anything. If I hold the top button and home button down I can hard reboot the phone and it works again until I have to slide to unlock then it happens again. The weird thing about this is that it only seems to be happening when the phone is not on a wifi network only 3g. What can I do about this?
