any time i unlock my phone screen it takes uptoo a minute for any of my apps to connect to the internet, facebook, snapchat, outlook all seem to be effected. if i use the phone for a prolonged time i often get a loss of data.

It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
This just started happening recently. I'll be sitting with a full LTE connection reading news when suddenly pages will stop loading in Chrome. Trying to launch Facebook or any other connected app at that point won't work. Check settings and I have full bars and all white/gray, not orange indicating a lost Google connection. Only thing that resolves it is to reboot the phone. It will work fine after that until a later date when the same thing happens. Not a tower issue either as this happens everywhere. Stock Nexus 5, not rooted and on T-Mobile.

Basically after using the phone for several hours the responsiveness dulled and things like double taps become harder and the speed at which i can type is reduced. This goes away after a reboot so i know it is software related rather than hardware. Programs i have running are Wordfeud, tapatalk, internet, drag racing, facebook and mail.is there a way to restart the touch screen without rebooting?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI plug in my headphones, fire up either spotify or GPM (more prevalent and noticible w/ GPM), start a song, lock screen, go about my business. From here, there is no noticible drop in sound quality...until I wake my screen. As soon as the screen wakes the audio quality and volume increases. Better lows, crisper highes, etc. It's not killing my experience, but I can notice it so of course it bothers the geek in me and I've gotta figure out what's going on. Is boomsound not activating?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning to find that the screen on my Xperia Play had stopped working. However, after a couple of restarts it began working again.
Now when the screen stopped working I began to panic as I am awaiting a phone call about my start date for a new job.
So when the phone screen was temporarily not working, I slid out the game pad to see if it was possible to unlock the phone and enter the pin unlock for my sim card by using the PS keys and dPad.
Successfully, by pressing a combination of the MENU button and another button I actually got to the screen which required me to enter my pin - from which I could have done successfully using the dPad and 'x' button.
Unfortunately, before I got to enter my pin the screen locked and I didn't quite catch the key combination in order to get back to the same pin unlock screen.
hit power button , home screen appears , but the unlock slider is missing and screen is open .

If i try to unlock i see a blank screen with the backlight on. Unable to access homescreen at all. If i leave the phone for sometime and then if i try unlocking again it works fine. Having this problem with latest version available in my country (4.0.4). I tried reinstalling the firmware using update service still no effect.

But i observed the gentle swipe now takes the unlock icon only upto middle and its not so fast....its lagging a lot....So is there any thing i can do ? 1. slide finger towards right to unlock
2. slide finger towards left to silent phone
The issue is that phone gets silent without the intention to do so. Is there any setting by which I can disable this Silent functionality?
I have a strange problem that occurred today after a year of using Z2 without any issues.I've connected my phone to PC to drop/backup some important photos I've made with Win explorer (as usual, sd card, copy, paste to C:userdocumentsphoto... etc.)
And after the backup copying was complete I saw in explorer that 6 Gigabytes in Sd card were gone. I went back to see if photos copied properly and they did, but Z2 has erased also movies, settings, music and e-books from SD card... it went completely stock with only android folder on board.
Restarted the phone, see if it will recover SD itself but all media was gone, in settings, application some of the sony apps were dated to February 1970 ?!?! There was no background defocus and AR effect in 1970 right?? Scanned the phone and Win7 with Avast, Spybot 2015 and BitDefender... all devices and PC are clean and protected.

I used PC Companion with my old Sony Ericsson phone. it was fine. had a lot of options.I bought Xperia Ray (currently running Android 4) and updated my pc companion to 2.10. the text message panel and several other stuff have gone altogether in PC Companion. all i have now is support zone, contacts setup and media go. i want text message, media transfer and all options that i had previously.

Latest android 2.1 on phone, have tried repairing this and using service / app killers. It is not a dirty screen as often once you have missed the call you can unlock the screen easily.

Because signal where I am varies dramtically from 4G to 3G etc so just changing rooms in my house will get me this notification.
Driving to work will get me several notifcations so its extremely frustrating, especially when it cuts in to songs etc that I'm listening too as I use the phone while running, it's also my main source of music in the van.
I recently noticed a strange behaviour during standby on my Xperia neo (FW 4.0.2.A.0.42). Since I use a brand new SIM of German network carrier E-Plus my Neo seems to randomly lose network signal completely. This sometimes even happens without any change of location. However, this occurs only in standby. As soon as I turn on the screen the network signal will be re-established immediately (-> screenshot below). As I can receive calls and text messages during these 'no signal' periods I would assume a software bug. However, I didn't notice this behaviour with a SIM of Vodafone which I had in use a couple of weeks ago.

Have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, everytime the download begins an error message comes up "unable to start update"
Have been to the optus shop and contacted sony over the phone, being told by optus that my phone is 7 days over its warranty and it will cost me to unlock, Sony helpdesk advised that it was "Easy" to fix and i just needed to repair the phone via PC companion, which clearly is not as easy as stated. I am left without a phone which is badly affecting my work, I have been told it will take at least 2 weeks for the phone to be unlocked if it is done by the provider, google password is not working.
I'm having an issue with my Z5 Compact when unlocking the screen. (Specially in dark rooms). The colors are totally "washed" for a few seconds, until adaptive brightness starts to work.
Sometimes in a dark room (like the bedroom) there is a 50% chance or more of this to happen.
To reproduce this: You need to use "adaptive brightness" under settings. And you need to unlock your phone a few times. I'd recommend you to do this using Tapatalk (Dark theme).
Anyway, I'm posting this because I've received an update yesterday from 32.0.A.4.11 to 32.0.A.5.32 and the issue is still here. Should I replace my device? Or just wait for another firmware?

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased a Z3 Dual sim D6633 and around twice a day either when receiving or making a call the phone suddenly drops out during conversation and both network strength bars are showing no signal. a message briefly shows up saying no no network signal ( or something to that effect ) then dissappears. A few seconds later the signal comes back for both sims and all is ok again. Why this is happening but its becoming frustrating especially when I have to call clients back.
