When the phone sreen is locked, there are two option
1. slide finger towards right to unlock
2. slide finger towards left to silent phone
The issue is that phone gets silent without the intention to do so. Is there any setting by which I can disable this Silent functionality?
Once you have updated your android from 1.6 to 2.1 how do you put a unlock screen pattern on?

View 1 Replies View RelatedUp until yesterday evening, I could press the down volume key on the side of the phone and I would get a drop down option that I could use to put the phone on vibrate or complete silence. That has now disappeared. Instead, I get a speaker with a slider bar and even when I drag the slider as far as I can to the left, my phone no longer goes on silent. How do I quickly put my phone on vibrate only or complete silence now as I cannot find the option in settings? (plus that way isn't really a shortcut).
View 10 Replies View RelatedI usually use smart connect and NFC tag to fully silent my phone at night time (no vibrate or sound), yet the only option in smart connect is sound, vibrate and priority, and priority mode vibrates. I realise I can now change to full silent mode from the lock screen with the volume button, but i thought it would be an option to put into smart connect as a selection.
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy Xperia X10 mini got switched off automatically and since then it is showing that "sorry, the process com.android.phone has stopped unexpectedly, with an option tab for 'Force close'." And since then it is not rceiving or sending any signal. It is also not getting connected to the PC. My repeated attempts by switching it OFF-on have yielded no results. That sorry window doesnot allow me to access anything in the mobile but for some duration of milliseconds when it is force closed with the option tab.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a very annoying problem with my Xperia Mini. I put it in silent mode, but it comes out of silent mode every half or full hour. This is really embarassing during meetings, etc. This was the problem in original android. Then I upgraded android to 4 ICS. After the upgrade, it was more stable for some time, but now the problem has started again. Does anyone else have this problem?
View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter the update, the shutter sound is not silent when in silent/vibrate mode.Also, I am not sure if this is bug, but to activate camera with camera button, now you need to long press the button, whereas before you just had to tap. [Is it a bug or a fix?]But, the previous mentioned is a bug. Shutter should not make a sound when the phone is on silent mode or vibrate mode.

It is taking multiple attemts to unlock my phone.I also observed that when I get to call, to cancel dragging the icon from right to left this is required multiple attempts.i.e many time dragging icon from right to left.
I don't know whether it is software problem or hardware. I have tried the repair operation also. my xperia neo is uptodate and running 2.3.4 os.I also tried to un install apps but I couldn't find any difference.Also once I unlock, those 5 screens, I can scroll inbetween and can touch home button. But when I long press on the screen to add widget/folder I am unable to do it as soon as I unlock phone. It is taking some time to respond.
As I purchased this phone in UK and using it in India, I am not sure how much service I can get in india from SE.I have bill for the mobile too.in other posts somebody told me to remove yahoo and i did the same but didn't find any difference.in short the touch scence is not responsive during unlock and for a while once get the home screen. I also installed andvance task killer app and killing apps frequently that also not making any help.
my touch screen cracked after I droppet my Xperia Mini Pro on the pavement. I can still see everything on the screen, but when I try to unlock the phone by sliding the touch screen, there's no reply. The keyboard however works fine, so what I'm wondering is if there's any way for me to use the keyboard to unlock my phone?

I have downloaded Android SDK 3.2 and Google USB driver as mentioned in the instruction there but when I try to connect to my phone it says there is no suitable driver. I went to Device Manager and under "other devices" there is entry for "F1Boot Fastboot" for which I'm trying to install the driver. I selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver > gave path to the usb_driver folder (C:Androidandroid-sdkextrasgoogleusb_driver) but it fails to find the necessary driver!
I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I checked the service setup of my phone to make sure that my phone is entitled for unlock of boot loader.
I bought the X10 mini pro a week back. Whenever I try to unlock my mobile, I am asked to press and sweep to unlock my phone followed by the draw pattern (which i have enabled in the location and security section) to unlock the mobile completely. Now I don't want the Press and Sweep option to unlock my mobile. I just want the draw pattern to unlock the mobile. Can anyone tell me whether it is possible to disable that Press and Sweep to unlock option in the mini pro or any app to disable it?? I tried the No Lock App but that is disabling the draw pattern to unlock as well.

I decide to update to ICS but since the update doesn't show up in PC companion or Update Service or OTA, I get flashtool and the stock .431 ftf and flash my mini pro (SI 1249-0751) to ICS (and also plug in a fresh new 32GB microSDHC card to celebrate). A bit laggy, crashes of the contact viewer when searching throught the dialpad, but that's okay, I can use a different launcher (Zeam) and dialer app (Dialer One).But when I open the camera app and try to take a picture with the front camera ...... there's no option. It's gone.
Another camera app, no front camera.Skype recognises only the rear camera. No front camera.I open the service menu (*#*#SERVICE#*#* i.e *#*#7378423#*#*) and test the secondary camera, and it says "This device does not support the function". The primary works fine. All other supported features work fine. Light sensor (next to the front cam) responds too. (But the Proximity switch doesn't. Not sure if it should. Perhaps that could hint at a hardware problem with the connections from the bottom half to the top slider part.)
I scout the forums and find that there's some some strange relationship between the SD card and the front camera for the Ray (or some other device) . With the old SD card, still no luck.I downgrade to GB. Still not working. Front cam missing.I unlock the bootloader and install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 9.0.0 Stable mango).Still not working. Front cam missing.I reinstall GB, relock the bootloader in the hope of an OTA update and do finally get one (to ICS). I update it. Still not working. Front cam missing.I don't think it's (gulp) hardware. There hasn't been any drop onto a hard surface.
