Xperia Mini/pro :: Unable To Unlock The Boot Loader?
Oct 24, 2011I am trying to unlock the boot loader of my Mini pro phone following the instructions given by Sony Ericsson on this page.
I have downloaded Android SDK 3.2 and Google USB driver as mentioned in the instruction there but when I try to connect to my phone it says there is no suitable driver. I went to Device Manager and under "other devices" there is entry for "F1Boot Fastboot" for which I'm trying to install the driver. I selected update driver software > browse my computer for driver > gave path to the usb_driver folder (C:Androidandroid-sdkextrasgoogleusb_driver) but it fails to find the necessary driver!
I am using Windows 7 64 bit and I checked the service setup of my phone to make sure that my phone is entitled for unlock of boot loader.

Mar 25, 2015I've been having this problem from the beggining and I really do not know what is the problem. I've tried different types of rom, i've removed the sim and sd card but nothing seems to solve the problem.After pressing the power button and the cpu gets out of deep sleep, touchscreen is not responding just volume buttons and power button. I have to keep press the power button until at some point the touchscreen responds.

Mar 6, 2012So today morning I got a call from one of my college mates. Phone started ringing and when I pressed the 'receive call' button, a message saying 'Android is not responding' appeared. I selected 'Shut Down' option, hoping that it would simply shut down the phone. Since then the screen has been black, not seem to respond to touches, only thing that works is a mechanical ringer volume button on the right side of the phone.

Jun 20, 2012i bought a sk17i about a week ago and after reading another user's post of telling about the bad quality of SK17i i'm abit worriedwhen i kept my phone power on for more than about two days its "Menu key" stopped responding. but it was fine after i restarted it. and two days after that the same thing happened to the "Back key". but it also became normal after restarting it.i saw in a forum, they say to restart the phone once a day to refresh the memory. but that's a big ****. i had nokia c5-03 earlier and it didn't gave me such trouble.

Sep 25, 2012The touch screen of my Xperia Mini Pro SK17a stopped reacting to touch three days ago. In the meanwhile I have repaired the software using Sony Bridge for Mac, used an old PC to repair with PC Companion and last tried SUS, but other than deleting my data nothing happened, the screen will not react to touch. The phone is 6 months old and I know there was no physical force or other stress applied upon it between the last time it worked and the moment I realized the screen was dead. It is a SK17a with 2.3.3 Gingerbread and Claro-Branded.

Now I don't want the Press and Sweep option to unlock my mobile. I just want the draw pattern to unlock the mobile. Aug 31, 2011When my new Xperia mini receives a call while in my pocket, the screen remains lock when I take it up and I cannot find any way to activate the display and thereby slide the slider to answer the call. After some seconds the call times out and the display becomes black while the vibrator runs constantly for around 30 seconds. After that the phone goes completely dead for maybe 30 seconds. And after that I can unlock it normally.I have not altered any of the factory default settings related to display locking.This does not happen if a call is received while the phone is on a table etc.

Oct 14, 2010Connected it to the PC companion and was informed about the update. Switched off the phone and turned it back on. Connected the usb port while holding the back button and selected connect the phone but nothing happened. I've tried this about 6 times now and nothing.Should the phone be asking me what i want to do each time? I thought there was an option to set the phone to automatically mount when connecting the usb cable but it seems to be gone in 2.1. Could anything be blocking it? My phone is UK unbranded and on firmware version 2.1-update 1.
