I have my phone set to fingerprint unlock but it says to swipe to unlock. Only after I restart it it asks for my fingerprint. I want it to stay fingerprint to unlock.

Would like to just have the numerical password screen pop-up without the swipe to unlock screen, as I had before with Jelly Bean.
Was using the phone. Put phone down as I did not need to use it. Returned to use the phone and 5S will not swipe to unlock. Tried to shut it off and and first it would not do that as well. Tried again and kept my finger on the power button and the phone reset.  Why will the 5S not swipe to unlock?

how to remove the awful offensive-looking 'nokia green' swipe to unlock facility following my firmware upgrade?
I have only just purchased the phone this week, and chose it mainly on looks - I just use a mobile for texting and calls, so I go for a basic phone with good looks.
Because of some initial problems with the software I was advised to update the firmware, but on no account did I ask for this horrible green swipe thing! I just want my inoffensive little grey unlock button back!
Is there an option in my phone somewhere to change back, or do I have to reverse the upgrade or something?I just want it back looking how it looked when I tried it before buying, as that's why I bought it
My new C3-01 has a problem when it refuses to unlock with a swipe, to fix I have to remove the battery & re-start.
View 13 Replies View RelatedWhen my new z3 is locked, I frequently have trouble swiping to unlock the phone. When I try to swipe, I get the nice psychedelic particle trail showing the swipe, but often the phone does not unlock. It can take 3 or 4 attempts to get the darn thing to unlock. It is bad enough that I worry that the phone will simply not unlock no matter how many attempts. Very very irritating. I write firmware for a living. This is a serious bug.

View 5 Replies View Relatedthe screen won't swipe to unlock. How to fix? Can I hard reset? I bought this 5C used from Swappa about 2 months ago. was advertised as "New Screen" - and the screen did look new. Worked great, everything was fine till a few days ago. Now the screen will not rregister the swipe to unlock. I have rebooted the phone by holding the top power button and home button. Phone boots ok, shows messages on lock screen, alarms go off, seems normal, except, the swipe will not swipe. it acts like you are not touching it. Also, about the same time the swipe stopped working , the screen started showing vertical banding..My thought are maybe one of two issues -
1 my son downloaded a bad app, and it locked the phone up. factory wipe should fix this. But itunes won't let me restore the phone unless I turn off "Find my Iphone", which requires I unlock the phone... dead end.Â
2 - I am also think, because of the banding, the "new" screen may be bad. Sound plausible? Â
he does not have a lot of stuff loaded on the phone, so I would like to try a reset before paying $175 for a new screen - that would not fix it if the issue is software. How can I reset the phone?

I have the Galaxy s6. I have the fingerprint screen unlock enabled. But the majority of the time I have to swipe and THEN fingerprint unlock or just swipe to completely unlock it. Which isn't very secure. How can I get rid of the swipe to open feature competely, I want only my fingerprint to be able to unlock it.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI use the iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.2. When I unlock the phone with my finger print, there is an animation where the icons move from the edges towards the center of the screen. After this animation is done, I have to wait approximately an entire second before I can swipe left/right on the touch screen in order to get to the apps on the other screens. Simple 'quick' tasks such as checking on emails will take far longer.

View 12 Replies View RelatedI was "playing" with my phone and first tried the fingerprint, which i had trouble getting in after that. Then i tried the 4 digit code. I went back in to change it back to swipe but it is no longer an option. It says it is turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage. Not sure what I did, but I need getting swipe back. Should have been working instead of playing anyhow...
View 3 Replies View RelatedEach time I swipe to unlock my nexus 6 it always opens to the phone app. Is there a way to change this to just the main screen instead?
View 2 Replies View RelatedIs there a way of that being my default method for unlocking my phone, as I currently have a Device lock kick in after 5 minutes idle, then I have to flick the switch and type in the 5 digit key. I'd much rather just do the swipe. How can I set this as the default option to greet me when I flick the switch to wake up?I have the device lock on as quite often the screen becomes active on it's own, and messes up my widgets etc.

View 5 Replies View RelatedAfter doing recent updates, the normal swipe-to-unlock feature of my Bionic stopped working. When I press the power button, I'm taken right to the home screen; I don't have to unlock. Even if I use Settings -> Location & Security and add a PIN or pattern lock, these do not work; each time I turn the phone back on, I go right back to the home. Sometimes the swipe screen flashes up but then disappears. The "Security lock timer" setting does not matter (i.e. it is set to 1 minute, but even after that, the phone is never locked. Occurs even after a hard reboot (shutdown, remove battery, power back up), although sometimes the swipe to unlock works for a short time. I've never rooted this phone or done much else beside install some apps from the Android Market. I do have Lookout running.

When someone asks in this newsgroup for me to attach a screen swipe so that the reader can see what I'm talking about, how do I do that. I know how to make screen stripe swipe. How do you paste it into the text box.

Currently, my HTC one m7 requires that i swipe the screen and then enter my screen lock password to access the phone.
I would rather that i didnt have to use the swipe before entering the password, but i cannot seem to disable this without disabling the screen lock completely.
I have tried several apps to do this including No Lock and Anti Lock, but both just seem to completely disable the screen locking at all.
I will always turn my phone on by swiping the screen on... A few times a day it will vibrate like it registers but then the screen doesn't turn on until 5 to 8 seconds later.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have changed all the pictures for my screens but can't figure out how to change the swipe screen picture. Is it possible to change that? It's not that it's bad... but I probably would change it if it was possible.
View 7 Replies View RelatedHow do u change these? I'm running a launcher that isn't the default, and frankly I feel a bit silly! I can't find any way to change the shortcuts that appear on the lockscreen (important: I am not referring to the 4 apps that mirror the ones on your default launcher's dock). If you don't get what I'm talking about say so, I'll edit this with better pictures etc.

I can not get the "swipe" option back on my Galaxy S5. I had used the WiFi at work one day but decided that I really did not need it so I had turned it off. It did ask me to reset my security option to pin, pattern, etc etc so I set a pin number, but now I can't get it back to swipe - the "Swipe" section is grayed out in the "Select screen lock" section and it says "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage." I already tried to clear credentials and I also looked for the certificate it asked me to install and i removed that as well. None of that has solved my issue. What I need to do to get swipe access back?
