I was "playing" with my phone and first tried the fingerprint, which i had trouble getting in after that. Then i tried the 4 digit code. I went back in to change it back to swipe but it is no longer an option. It says it is turned off by administrator, encryption policy or credential storage. Not sure what I did, but I need getting swipe back. Should have been working instead of playing anyhow...

I'd much rather just do the swipe. View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm going to buy S6 but I would only go for the unlocked/non-carrier version so I'm still waiting. During the time, I try S6/edge several times at Bestbuy and did find something very strange when I swipe the screen left or right. I didn't realize it's the problem(actually I was thinking my finger was too dry) until I tried the S5 right next to it and didn't find anything wrong.
It happens when you swipe left back to Homescreen from magazine app(Flipboard integrated). It's playing animation and don't let you do anything during this animation. So basically if you swipe left twice quickly, it is supposed to go to the second screen on the right but it didn't. That works fine on S5 but not on S6. On S6 the second swipe(or any extra swipe after that but before the animation is over) didn't work and didn't react to your finger until the animation is played completely. I am not sure if it's the problem of display phones or a general problem.
I can not get the "swipe" option back on my Galaxy S5. I had used the WiFi at work one day but decided that I really did not need it so I had turned it off. It did ask me to reset my security option to pin, pattern, etc etc so I set a pin number, but now I can't get it back to swipe - the "Swipe" section is grayed out in the "Select screen lock" section and it says "Turned off by administrator, encryption policy, or credential storage." I already tried to clear credentials and I also looked for the certificate it asked me to install and i removed that as well. None of that has solved my issue. What I need to do to get swipe access back?

Anyway I am a big guy 6'2" 225 and I am still getting used to typing (hope i will), but the biggest issue I have is the "Lock" button for the phone. I have only just purchased the phone this week, and chose it mainly on looks - I just use a mobile for texting and calls, so I go for a basic phone with good looks.
Because of some initial problems with the software I was advised to update the firmware, but on no account did I ask for this horrible green swipe thing! I just want my inoffensive little grey unlock button back!

When I try to swipe, I get the nice psychedelic particle trail showing the swipe, but often the phone does not unlock. It can take 3 or 4 attempts to get the darn thing to unlock. It is bad enough that I worry that the phone will simply not unlock no matter how many attempts. Very very irritating. I write firmware for a living. This is a serious bug.

I use the iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.2. When I unlock the phone with my finger print, there is an animation where the icons move from the edges towards the center of the screen. After this animation is done, I have to wait approximately an entire second before I can swipe left/right on the touch screen in order to get to the apps on the other screens. Simple 'quick' tasks such as checking on emails will take far longer.
