I updated the software last week. Syncs with Outlook worked for a few days, now I get this error message. Then "checking for BlackBerry device software updates, please wait" and it hangs.

View 1 Replies View Relatedi've been noticing some problems with my controls on my keyboard. In fact, I was not able to use the red button, de back button, the q,a,w,s and z buttons either. I decided so to restore my blackberry. But, when I was restoring it, my sister unplugged it and since then, I am not able to do anything with it. It loads (where it's written blackberry with a loading bar) and right after, there is a white screen with error 200 on it. Now, when I replug it into my computer, it says : Blackberry desktop software can't communicate with the phone connected. There is no way I can restore it again or do anything.

PLUS, the desktop manager cannot connect to the device,the application loader neater. I download the 4.2.2 device software and had the VENDOR file erased too, I start running the "loader" from C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader. and it loads the JVM and system software but when it is initializing the device I get the connection error and that's it. FROZEN AGAIN. The screen with the crossed battery is the only one I'm able to see.I try to replace the USB cable and the soft reset too with no results.What can I do, help me please!

View 2 Replies View RelatedThe problem I am facing is that I added my dad at BBM (he is in malaysia i'm in the UK), we can see each other's contact at bbm, but we can't communicate. I can receive his voice notes and everything. I can send him a message too, BUT with a tick next to my messages but without R or D, he claims that he didnt receive any of them.
I tried battery pull, deleting and adding contact (took a while as it takes time for the friend request to be accepted/ add to friend list) and ... googling and i ran out of ideas.

I recently upgraded to a Bold 9650 with Sprint.I have BES for work, but am using the Internet Browser and can access the internet just fine.I am also able to use Google Maps just fine.When I try to use Blackberry Maps, I just get grey lines (no data downloaded). My GPS appears to work fine, as the app can find satellites and my location it just does not download/draw the maps.When I try a search for either a zip code or a city, I get a message that says "Request to server failed". I have deleted and reinstalled Blackberry Maps without resolution.I have also deleted the Blackberry Maps service book, but that did not resolve the issue either (it reappears after restart, so I assume it has re-downloaded a new service book). I have also contacted my company's IT, and they confirmed that the company does not block Blackberry Maps through the BES. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get my Blackberry Maps to communicate with the server? Could this be an issue with the WiFi or SIM (since Sprint is CDMA)? I have found similar issues online, but none with Sprint and none with a successful resolution.

I've unistalled Destop Manager, reverted back to 5.0.0 and I still have the same issue. This was and is currently setup with my Outlook 2003 (SP3) exchange server to forward my work emails, and it worked up until I updated to 5.0.1 last week.
I have been unable to communicate with one of my old contact since the worldwide blackberry contact a couple of weeks ago . So we decided to delete each other and add each other again. That did not work because whenever I send her invites, she never gets them . However, I get hers but when I hit accept it pushes her to 'pending' .This situation is weird and really frustrating.

Re-inviting problem contact via email or PIN does not work - invitation never received. Also tried being invited by other BB contact, I never receive the invite. Have tried the trouble shooting described (deleted pending invites, battery reboot, reinvite) to no avail. Now I have stopped getting messages from other 2 BB contacts and am wondering if they have suddenly stopped working also.

I had tried all the following and nothing works:
- make sure Bluetooth is turned off
- removed battery and put back after 1 ~5 mins
- Do backup, update the latest software and restore
I tried switching the firewall **bleep** off but to no avail.

I've tried reinstalling the desktop manager already but still cannot find it, nor were there any options during the installation to include it.

From then on the podcast app 1.0.0.48 has failed to "communicate with the server" when I try the Explore Podcasts feature, and also no longer notifies me (or downloads) new episodes. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.
So my turbo is set up nice, but when I decided to add in my google play music account, after entering my email it says it cant communicate with google servers. I tried removing my google account and readding to the phone, but that didnt work either. 2 step verification is not turned on with my account as well.
Apparently all I had to do was click on my email that was on the main screen. Telling it to add an existing probably confused it? But anyways, now Im curious because my google music settings show NO authorized devices. Is my phone not authorized anymore? My old phone was on there, but I deleted it from the list, now no devices are there....I mean, Im listening to music with it, and I can buy songs, so Im confused. Or is it a moot point because I only use a STANDARD account?
Its been a while since I posted on here but I woke up this morning to a phone call and while trying to talk to the person on the other end my blackberry kept thinking I was plugging in and unplugging a wired headset making it impossible to communicate. When I actually plugged in my wired headset it worked fine but from then on any calls without the headset have the same issue.
I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I recently updated a ton of system and user apps however the phone was working fine until this morning.I've done a battery pull, blown compressed air into the audio jack itself, I've restored the phone in desktop manager, and I've even taken the phone apart and made sure the contacts for the audio jack weren't obscured but to no avail.Do you think this could be a hardware issue with the jack or is it more likely to be a software issue? I'm thinking hardware considering it works fine with the wired headset in place
Since upgrading, CorporateSync can no longer communicate with our MS Exchange email server at work. I am in I.T., and spent the moring with two co-workers troubleshooting this. We moved the phone into a test area with no policies, then turned on and off each policy, testing connectivity results for each one.The only policy preventing the phone from connecting to the server was, "Password Required". The phone can connect to the server only if a password is not required.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry Bold 9900, which I sync via version 7.1 of the Blackberry Desktop Software to my desktop PC, which is running Outlook 2010 with Microsoft Exchange 2007. The one area that does not sync is the calendar. Changes in my desktop sync to the Blackberry, but changes in the Blackberry will not sync to the desktop. I have checked the settings umpteen times and had others check them. i have removed all Cical entries on the Blackberry. I have completely re-set the Blackberry and settings.

The link takes me to the BB site for software, but it directs me to the same version of DM I already have. I've even uninstalled and installed again hoping that would help.I read in the BB troubleshooting forum that the most current is 1.0.3 build 23, but the one I'm using is build 19. Which is also the one that is linked to on the site I'm just lost how do I get to build 23?I also posted this in the Mac section a couple days ago, but no response.

After doing some backups and so, yesterday I started the sofware, conected the 9700 but the situation is different. Desktop appears gray, it recognizes my phone PIN and model, but it doesnt works. It appears freeze. Also the phone icons appears freezed. Shows the PC and the phone, but none moves. I tried with other PC, but the situations remains similar. What is happening?
