I used a new phone number and a new blackberry apps world id, but with the same blackberry 9900. Aparently, I could not log into the phone, and so the phone is locked with an unknown id and password. So, the only thing the phone could do is to format all the bbm contacts etc, while I really need all the contacts.

How to I get it to stay on my wallpaper and not show the clock? I just upgraded from My curve 8300 to the Bold 9700 and the only thing I hate about it is the big clock that shows up when I lock the screen.
View 4 Replies View Relatedmy son attempted to unlock my Iphone 4 after I changed the passcode. He tried so many times that it disabled my Iphone. I know the passcode, but it will not allow me to enter it. How can I fix this issue? This seems to be a common issue, but the only thing I see that can be done is to reset your Iphone which will delete everything. I have pictures on it I can't lose.

My main problem (besides lag) is that my phone keeps going to Mute either when I grab it or whatnot, I'm not sure. I keep on Vibrate and keep it in my shirt pocket typically (at work). It seems that handling my phone I somehow change the speaker modes without knowing it. Is there any way to lock the mode so that it won't change when the phone is locked? I don't mind being able to change the volume of audio output when the screen is off but for it to be able to switch to Mute or On is not something I want.

I have gone through password reset process but still blocking me with the message: Your account has been locked. Please try again after the lockout period has expired or call customer service.Any suggestions other than a call to technical desk. I've been researching forums and seems to be the case that lock is indefinite. Incidentally, I didn't see the option after 10 tries to enter word 'blackberry' but it was late at night and frustration had kicked in. Possibly I missed that.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've had Blackberries for several years on T-Mobile, and I was always able to set up my mail accounts as either IMAP or POP3. I've switched to Verizon and when I set up my email accounts, they default to IMAP. I own my own domain and both IMAP and POP3 are supported.
I tried deleting my email accounts and setting them up again with an incorrect password so I could enter my own settings. However, I'm not given the option to select POP or IMAP. I prefer POP so that if I delete a message on my handlheld it will also be deleted from the server.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9000 and the profile is changing by itself from Normal to Vibrate and back again and then back to Vibrate and so on. I find this really annoying and don't know how to stop it
View 3 Replies View RelatedFrom looking through similar threads, I see that it is a problem changing any shortcuts. My particular problem is hitting the spacebar and the phone comes up and, as I have already done several times, hit it a few more times and you will accidentally dial a number in your address book. When I have my phone in my pocket and I don't have keylock on, I have called several numbers.
Luckily, I realized what I had done before the phone was left on for a long time and they could listen to whatever I was saying. I could see where this could become a MAJOR problem! One of the threads mentioned a 3rd party app (without saying what it was) that could change the shortcut. Does anyone know what that is? Better yet, does anyone know how you CAN change the shortcut? I'd rather not have to put the key lock on every time I put the phone in my pocket.
I have the Bold 9930. Before I left the States, my phone was working perfectly fine...I had email, BBM, whatsapp, text, etc...
When I arrived in Haiti, I wanted to switch my SIM card so I would be able to use/have a Haitian number. I do NOT have an international plan. When the guy put my the Haitian SIM in, the phone requested my BlackBerry ID and password. I typed both in, which were both correct, but it kept telling me that it was an incorrect password. The guy told me that the only way I would be able to "reset" my BlackBerry ID would be to sign out and in order to do that, it would wipe out all my pics and everything. I didn't want to do that so I ended up buying a Haitian phone w/ a Haitian SIM card.
At this point, I have two phones. One American with an American SIM card (BlackBerry) and a Haitian phone with a Haitian SIM card.
When I arrived at my house, I turned on my American phone and its WiFi, but my BBM and Emails were NOT WORKING! However, my Facebook App and the Browser are both working perfectly fine. I restarted my phone many times since yesterday and nothing has changed. I checked this morning to see if it was working, but no luck.
So my question(s)/problem(s) now are:
1. How do I get my BBM working again? (probably the most important one)
2. How do I get my emails working again?
3. Is there any possible way for me to have my BlackBerry(American phone) work with my Haitian SIM Card?
I thought I would ask first rather than just doing it. For back up purposes I want to change the file name of my back ups. Any problem with that as long as I know what they are. I am not going to change the destination folder.
View 3 Replies View Relatedi have a peculiar problem on my bold9900. when i am texting a sentence, before could even complete it, there appears a fullstop and the next word starts as a new sentence.each time i have to manually go back, erase the full stop and then remove the capitalisation by erasing the letter and start texting again. this is not always happening and only happens sometimes. i have tried everything from changing input language to adjusting key sensitivity but the problem still persists. any solutions?"this is like.This and everytime i am going.Backwards to retype!"

For example, I charged it to 80% and went to sleep for about 5 hours, and when I woke up, it was 5%. I tried changing the battery, but the same thing happened. Is there a reason for this? in the device, the main/default folder is the INBOX, whereas I prefer to use the ALL MAIL filter. Right now, I need to select FILTER, and then ALL MAIL, to see all my new emails, as opposed to those that only went into my INBOX. Any way to make the ALL MAIL folder the default one?
Am using BB 9700 and am having problem with my BBM status message is not changing since over a month now, I have read in some forums tha I need to make my BBM contacts less than a 100 to make it change and I don't like this solution since I don't want to delete my friends any one can help.By the way if I add new contact he will see the current status message but for the old contact they will keep seeing the old.i have a dozens of friends having the same problem please RIM we need a propper solution.

Whenever I change the sound profile, my custom alert tones for eBay and UberTwitter apps change to silent and to different sounds than those I chose.
I already tried a RIM support solution that calls for clearing a corrupted profiles database. It helped for a few days. Now the issue is back, and today it even made all my LED alerts turn to off.

I have looked all over the device to find how to increase the number and can't find it anywhere. I have checked sound profiles and see no option to do so. The manual for the 9650 says it's an issue with my provider. My carrier, Verizon, has been no help. This was not an issue with my old phone and I assumed it would be the same during the transisition to the new one. No go.

Whenever it stars to turn on after a few seconds it restarts, then again the actions replay. I can't even charge it as it keeps turning on and restarting again and again.
