BB Bold :: 9780 Keeps Restarting With Wiping Cycle?
May 16, 2012
The issue I am facing is that my Bold will power up, load 2/3 of the way, then proceed to a white screen with a wiping status bar. It will then freeze around 54% (not always 54%, maybe 48%, sometimes up to 50%), reboot, and repeat.Blackberry is recognized in Loader and Desktop Manager however will fail to connect to JVM because it will repeat the wiping. It does load the software (only if I catch it with the red LED and screen off). I tried the latest desktop manager and the latest updates. I've pull the battery many many times for long periods of times.
I have a Blackberry Bold 9780. It was working fine till this morning until I installed an update for the Tube Map application. After that it automatically restarted and has been continuously doing so without even entering the OS once. In other words, it just keeps restarting itself without actually booting. I tried entering into the safe mode, even that doesn't work!
my bold 9780 on telus has been freezing, and shutting down and everytime it starts back up it does the same thing and shuts down, and sometimes it doesn't even restart, the red LED light blinks 5 times on the black screen. I seriously love this phone but i hate how much trouble its been giving me. And when it is on it either says sim card error, SOS or searching for networks randomly.
about a week ago my bb was dropped into a cup of tea (which had sugar and milk in) and i quickly took out the battery and stuck it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a few days. It was working about 2 days ago, except the keyboard was sticky so I turned it off and got some isopropyl alcohol cleaner and followed some instructions on how to open it all up and clean it which i did. Before i cleaned it i turned it on and the loading screen came up, only it gets to about 5 or 10 percent then restarts itself which it then proceeds to do over and over. I have looked into this problem and it seems i need to reinstall the os?
Twice yesterday afternoon and once this am my 9700 power cycled / rebooted itself. This is a pain as I have berry buzz and have to reconfigure my profile as the settings are gone after a power cycle. Do I have a virus? I have Quickpull installed but not configured to automatically run. Do I need to install Quickpull? Any help would be appreciated.
I upgraded my bold 9000 to os 5.0.0 last night and it is now in constant reboot cycle. I let it do all it needed to do whilst connected to pc blah blah blah and it now it just reboots all the time. Gets past the loading bar and then goes to the vodafone screen, then screen turns black, red light comes on, over and over and over again. However, when I plug it in to either my mains charger or the pc, it will boot up OK. Any help would be appreciated as it will soon be going out the window!! Or back to the shop.
I've been having problems with my blackberry after using the twitter app it froze and an app error has occured while other amounts of application error signs have shown up too!I need to know if there is way of fixing my phone by wiping everything off and starting with a new clean software?

I need advise my BB 9900 keeps restarting. It gives me the loading/starting up screen then the screen turns white and gives me a red light at the top then the whole process starts again.
It started when i came to Canada from UAE, i used my uncles HTC charger because my plug was a different design that the ones from here. It charged straight to 75% and up. Battery life started diminshing faster from that day on, and now it barely stays on for a few minutes. Now i wanted to know, is it a battery thing, or could the charging hole could be damaged? Also, how do you move the trackpad from one housing to another? it seems to be built straight into the keyboard, but on the one i bought doesnt have on.
My new blackberry keeps restarting on its own after it get started by 3 to 4 minutes..I dont have any apps installed..tried soft reset and factory reset..nothing happened..I checked that I have the latest software installed
jsut recieved my Bold 9900 today and I was just restarting it to complete the software installations and now it goes through the sequence of starting up but once it has laoded the screen turns white and it restarts again and again.
i bought the 9930 6 weeks ago in the USA. on first start up ......i was Initially greeted by a constant loop of restarting which stopped after 2 days. WHy or how? who knows. The restarting has continued sporadically but in the last week it is NOT topping ....6 days later! The phone is now rendered useless. Cannot be used, cannot access any info on it. It seems there is a fundamental flaw with this model or software. In checking the web many ppl complain of this problem. Surely RIM should address this! Customers are being told that this smart phone is so superlative when they surely know that there is a problem 400USD later?
Today I got my new BlackBerry 9900. The phone restarts suddenly itself. I can't really work with it, because it restarts continuously. Even if I just look at the menu.
I have had a terrible experience with my bold 9900 bought 3 months ago.It keeps restarting and sometimes turns off at random or will turn off while calling, fb or texting. It had gone through 20 days of warranty repair done by Brightstar Malaysia but when it was returned to me yesterday it still had this problem. They claimed the phone had been sent to SIngapore for warranty repair. But from the look of it, nothing has been done properly and I am very disappointed.Does anyone here experience the same issues as I have? I am very tempted to write to RIM's CEO as this is the top of the range BB and it still doesn't reall work as it should. My calls for a replacement phone has not been entertained but I guess they would still want to repair it and it will be another 20 working days sent Singapore which I highly doubt their professionalism.
I downloaded OS 6 aver a week ago, havent had any issues until yesterday. Now my BB continues to reload over and over. If it decides to stay on the phone doesnt respond to anything. i have tried powering on in safe mode, that didnt help being that i cant select anything. I cant delete software due to BB not being recognized my the Desktop manager since BB doesnt stay on. Phone is 7 months old, was replaced under warranty therefore warranty has expired.
We have over 50 of these devices and many of them are automatically restarting, sometimes in the middle of writing/reading emails, at least once a day. We sometimes also have JVM error 545 on the screen which either goes away when you restart or we have had the unit swopped out if it stayed on the screen.Battery life is rubbish, and often unit won't recharge unless you take the battery out first. Just noticed 1 small sticky label on the battery covering 2 terminals, should this be removed. Also there is a small brown sticky label on the device to the left of the 4 terminals. Have removed both of these to see whether this helps to make the device more reliable.
Blackberry Bold recently has develop a booting problem. It keeps on restarting anytime it boots.I thought it was battery problem have replaced with a new battery but the same problem reoccurs.
