View 2 Replies View RelatedI picked up my phone last Sunday morning and it said it was disabled and needed to be plugged into itunes - I did this and it reenabled the iphone but all my data is now hidden...it was not set to erase if password entered wrongly too many times. I did not plug it into the original computer that I initially enabled it with but I did not sync it on this computer either

I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 with IMEI 35856604xxxxxx, I did an update for the software version 7.1.0 Bundle 2061 however I entered the password 5 times due to a non functional button on my keyboard and all data was wiped. Unfortunately I do not have a backup and I lost all my contacts and media files. Is there a way to rollback knowing that I did previously an upgrade for the software version over the air, so probably my data is stored somewhere on RIM servers.

There was this pop-up thing happening and without knowing what it is and trying to get rid of it, I entered the password incorrectly 10 times and my phone got wiped. I did not back up any of the data in my phone. Now, every time I turn on my phone (bold 9000) the battery dies within 2-3 hours and when I switch the battery it erases all contacts and adjustments to the settings that I've made. In addition to this, the phone gets super hot, even though I turn the phone off.

I got my first ever BB yesterday, the Bold 9700, but there's a problem with the address book which is driving me nuts! Despite setting the phone up for all available UK localisation options on the startup wizard I cannot enter the postcodes of my contacts in the address book. The field is labelled "zip/postcode" but will not accept letters, just numbers as would be the case for a zip code. I've tried to override the number lock which is the default for this field, but the phone will not allow it.
I've rechecked the "options" folder and the "advanced options" subfolder, but there is nothing which gives me an option to overcome my problem. For those unfamiliar with UK postcodes, they mostly follow the format AB1 3XY but some have a seven character format AB12 3XY. BB's have been in the UK for ages so surely someone knows how to fix this issue, unless it's specific to my model which I understand hasn't been out that long.
I know there are other software that may help to retrive the data but it doesn't work with encrypted backup.Now i have the password, i have the encrypted backup (failed to recover in itunes).What can i do? is it possible to remove the password from the encrypted backup provided that i have the password?

I did a normal backup and just before it finished, a message came up saying the DM could not backup one Theme. I clicked OK and then it comes up with another message and it says Backup completed ... click OK .So is it just one theme that's odd and not being backed up? (which I don't mind) With (hopefully) the rest of my stuff backed up as usual.

I kept entering my password (I couldn't remember exactly what it was, so I went online and reset it for the last attempt). I got the email confirmation that it was reset, so I entered the new, reset password. It said it was wrong anyway and started wiping my device. EVERYTHING -- all my contacts, all my sms, all my work emails, everything. I popped out the battery when it was at about 6% of the wiping process but whenever I turn it back on it starts wiping again.how can I stop this?
