I have a user with a Bold. If he looks at a pic and then tries to email it, it kicks back that the service failed. However if he composes a new message in the email app and then attaches the pic, it will send...any ideas?
I have been informed that when I send an email with an attachment (whether its "attach file" or "send picture as email") the attachment is not on the recipients email.
I have tried emailing myself pictures from my camera to save on my laptop, and there is just no attachment on Outlook! I have logged into my gmail on web browser too, and still no attachment.
Does anyone know how to resolve this, i have tried selecting the size as "small" when prompted to see if that makes a difference.
I recently set up a new email address, i cant remember ever having problems before doing this.
any suggestions what to do gratefully received have done the ususal, turn everything of and on, remove battery, all are charged ok but computer doesnt seem to recognise bb any more and cant connect
Does anyone know how to do this?I usually press answer and then press the speakerphone button but surely there is a way to answer the call and go to speakerphone in one button.I dont want a default speakerphone option as I only require this function while driving.
Is there any way to place an icon on the homescreen which opens directly to a webpage. For example, I don't use the Facebook application due to preferring the mobile web based version but would like to open directly from the homepage if possible without opening the browser and selecting the bookmark.
I just got my 9700 less than a week ago, then I woke up this morning to make a phone call. After the call, my phone just turned off, and since then, it's been trying to power on. The BlackBerry screen will show, along with the loading bar, but it'll only load about 1/4 of the way, then the screen flashes white, then turns off, and does the whole thing over again. It's been going on for about 45 mins now.
I cannot check for updates of the OS over the air. It always says update failed try updating the software again or contact service provider. Than about a minute later says "no updates available". Has anyone else had the same issue? Is this something RIM is aware of? I'm on .296 and I know .405 is out there for att.I also noticed under certificates, Verisign/RSA Secure Server Root (last one @ bottom) Expired Jan 7 2010 and has a nice red X next to it.. Could some of you check this out on your Berries.
My phone is about 2 months old. My service is through ATT in the US, but I use the phone abroad - currently in Sydney, Australia.Sometime early this morning [still asleep as alarm didn't go off], the phone began rebooting. When it reboots, it fails half way through and starts again. This has been going on for over 10 hours. I have not had time to load any new application onto it, it is in the same state it came. I just receive and send email and text.I have spoken to ATT and the only thing they recommend is a new phone. However, they wont send it to me outside the US, they say it isn't possible [even if I pay for shipping]. I guess they never heard of FedEx or DHL. So much for their international service. I have to coordinate shipping through my office in the US. This is going take me more time than I think I can live without the phone.
I've tried a battery that I know works and the problem persisted. I would like to wipe the phone clean, but since I don't ever get to the main screen, I cant do it using an application. Is there any way to wipe it clean using a combination of keys? I cant do it from my PC either as it doesnt recognize the phone since it is always rebooting.
I have a blackberry 9700 with BIS which I've just upgraded the software from OS5 to OS6, I'm having a problem opening and downloading any music and videos from the internet, I can browse through perfect but when I try to save it takes forever to download 1 percent and then says failed, I previously had this problem with the OS5 software as well, it used to work fine when I first got the phone but recently started failing to download so I upgraded to OS6 and the problem is still the same, there is nothing wrong with my memory card as I've tried with another memory card and the problem still continues.
Blackberry9700. Email worked fine until I had to reset my password for my work account, now I can receive email via the blackberry from this account but cannot send. Send fails with "contains an invalid email address". My service provider and RIM have not been able to figure this out so far. Email account is not full, can access from a pc and send/receive. So problem is specific to the bb system.
I have a black berry bold 9700 it was provided by orange in uk . now in india with Air tel sim and my local dialing list i am unable to dial from me contacts list. when ever i try to dial a number +44 is outomatically prefixed thus making the number un axexable Example Number in my contact list 9999912345 when t select this and try to dial the which my phone dials is +449999912345
I've upgraded to v6 today from v5. In v5 I had simply turned off the 'dial from home screen' option & was able to use keys to directly access my apps. For eg I would press 'M' to open messages or 'N' for BBM, 'U' for calculator etc. I can't seem to do this any more in v6.
I have a bold 9900 with OS 7.1 on it and about 1000 contacts, everytime i try to look up the location from the address in one of my contacts using Blackberry map, it says " location not found" 100 percent of the time, yet show on google map always works, as does Poynt from here always works.
My Bold 9900 refuses to boot up. I get a series of four flashing red lights, one slow then three fast. The screen froze for 3 minutes. I tried turning it off. No good. I removed the battery and now it won't start up.I have tried connecting to desktop. No good.I have tried booting up without the battery. No good.
I have a Torch 9810, provider is Rogers. For some reason now when I try to email a picture I receive a popup that says "the attachment file may be reduced in size". Then it takes my nice high resolution photo and reduces the file size to under 100kb. The picture file size is much higher but the phone just reduces the file size.
I believe at some point when I emailed a picture a pop up came up and asked if I wanted to reduce the file size of the picture. I said yes but I think there was a check box that makes this choice apply to all pictures I try to email.
I can't find anywhere in any of the options where I can reset that decision and have the phone send full size pictures when I email them.
Is there anyway to either email a string of text messages or even download them to your computer. I've tried everything aside from getting a holder for the mini SD card.
Why would my iPhone send messages, text and emails, videos and pictures quickly for months, then, inexplicably, for a period of two weeks, consistently, take 30 seconds or minutes to send any length text, email or photos? And it doesn't go any faster whether I am on my carrier network, or the broadband wifi.
The camera on the Droid X is pretty good..high res...maybe not as good as the SAMSUNG I just gave up to by the Droid but good. With my SAMSUNG and the phone I had before, if I sent a picture to an e-mail address it was just one button click to resize it for e-mail (would take the 3MP and resize to 100-180K which is much easier to download and views just fine on phone or laptop...with the Droid X it does not automatically give you the sizing option and if you go to the edit function it only lets you go down to 1MP...that is almost 10 times the size it should be for sending e-mail...really making people mad that I send pics too...is there a way to resize for e-mail (100-180K)
I got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'. In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
My msn messenger fails to received any message. I already contacted my service provider but can't help either. I already try took out the phone battery and sim card but no help as well.
I have tried to update my BB9930 several times using the desktop app, and each time it appears to hang with 24 files left to download. Finally I dug around and discovered the Log Window, so now I see why it's failing to update. It cannot a file that it needs, so it eventually fails (after several silent attempts to download that one file) and unwinds back to where I started.
