I have a black berry bold 9700 it was provided by orange in uk . now in india with Air tel sim and my local dialing list i am unable to dial from me contacts list. when ever i try to dial a number +44 is outomatically prefixed thus making the number un axexable Example Number in my contact list 9999912345 when t select this and try to dial the which my phone dials is +449999912345
View 2 RepliesIt is annoying when you select a phone number from your history, contacts, or address book and the Bold auto dials the number. If you select the wrong number from the touch screen the phone auto dials the wrong selected number, and it is easy to do this on a touch screen.
I want to be able to launch the call from the phone call key so I can check the number before it is called. I want to be able to select a phone number and make sure I have the right one before the phone dials.
Since 2 days I cannot dial anymore directly from the front page of 9700, and I don't receive e.mails as well?
View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently purchased the (2014) Moto X for one of my fellow employees. He is an apple fan boy, so when it was his time for an upgrade of course I got him an Android device (with the notion I had 30 days to return if necessary)
He loves the device, his only gripe has been that he cannot click on phone numbers to dial out directly from the email app or the outlook app. He can however click on phone numbers through his Gmail app and it go straight to the dialer.
Is there a way to dial a contact directly from the Messaging App? For example, I get an SMS message and go to read it. I want to call that person. I have to tap on their name on the top of the screen, then I have to wait, then I am taken to their contact information, where I have to select a number to call. Is there a way to simply call them from the Messaging app without all the other steps? My previous old phone I could just hit the phone button and bingo the phone would call the number. The menu doesn't have a Call contact option, but maybe I'm missing something. What about an add on app that adds the option?

Pressing the Alpha keys doesn't do anything. Only the numbers 0 through 9 are working.Is this an option? I can't seem to find where to turn this on.

You cant keep your headset on or earpiece in without hurting or even damaging your ears. It is extremely annoying to have to take out your earpiece every time you dial someone. Setting the profile to vibrate or silent is no option of course because then you don't hear the phone ring.How do I set the dial tone to silent or much lower volume without reducing the phone ring volume on a BB Bold 9900?

When I tried to individually add data I noticed that the option to choose Addresses/Contacts was grey (I can't tick the box).

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just went from the 8310 to the 9700 and right off noticed that I can no longer hold the talk button and pull up the address book while in the recent call list. From the home screen you can hold the talk button for a couple of seconds and it pulls up the address book but if you just tap the talk button it opens the recent call list. If you hold the talk button from there it tries calling the last number. Anyone know if I can change this to be like the 83xx?

When i'm on a phone call it automatically brings up the dial pad instead of going to the standard options like speaker phone and mute and all that. i often switch to speaker phone when on a phone call and i have to click twice when i could just click speaker phone.its just annoying i was wondering if there is a way to switch it to default to the speaker phone screen?
