My Nexus 5 is rooted and in the past OTA updates have always worked just fine. I don't use a custom recovery. However, the November Android security update fails. I was thinking this was because BBS was installed as a system app. After uninstalling that it still doesn't work. The only other thing I use is Adaway, so I reverted back to the original hostfile and also uninstalled BusyBox. Still no dice. Or is it perhaps Marshmallow OTA updates simply won't work if the phone is rooted? How come in the past I've been able to do OTA updates with my phone being rooted?
What can I do to get the update? Does that mean I have to basically lose my user data every month to do an OTA update now and reroot my device
Everything I tried to voice summon Google Now and tell it to launch an app, it will process my command and show a little loading icon. However, that's all it does and the app never launches. I've tried launching Pandora and calculator, both to no avail...

Got problems with the Google Authenticator app not working on the G3? When trying to set up the app, it fails with stating "Unfortunately, Authenticator has stopped." And that's it, nothing else happens. Are the 3rd part apps available on the Play Store safe/secure to use for this purpose?

Need some help on this one. Every time I attempt to sync my iPhone, it starts with, in the bar at the top, with Backing Up *Name*'s iPhone, then Syncing Contacts, Syncing Applications, then switches to a generic "Syncing *Name*'s iPhone" message- then it simply stops as if it had been cancelled.
I've tried this several times, to no avail. Any changes I make to Applications or Contacts ARE changed, but it never changes Music, Ringtones, Videos, etc etc.
Somehow I blew it and am down to my last guess at my password to logon. What happens if I use the last attempt and fails. Is there anyway to reset my password before I take my final guess?
I have an LG G4 and am having problems with wifi. When I turn wifi on from settings, I get a message saying Turning wifi on....and it just stays there and doesn't ever connect or show available networks. I have tried multiple tips, tricks, and FAQ pages from many sites including this one with no luck. I know the wifi networks are working as other devices connect with no issue. I have tried it at home, work, an din public places that have wifi and no luck. I have checked date and time, I have turned airplane mode on and off, I have restarted, all that good stuff.
When I connect my iPhone4s with my Mac air, after pressing the SYNC bottom of ITunes, it shows 'The iPhone could not be synced, because the sync session is fail to begin.' What can I do?
Upgrading iPhone to iOS 5.1.1. Process hangs with progress bar on iPhone (showing Apple logo) about 1/5 of the way complete for over an hour.
After several attempts to restart the process, Force Quit iTunes, restart it, restart iPhone and plug in. This time iTunes says "Restoring software". This appears to work until progress bar on iPhone is about 3/4 full, then it hangs again. (No, it wasn't jailbroken, contained only apps bought from iTunes store, etc.)
There are three other such complaints buried under the unlikely discussion topicHT5278 if the update fails and phone freezes what should I do Is it significant that 5.1.1 is not in the list of operating systems below?
My Iphone 4 in 5.0.1, at Setting In General goto Software Update iOS 5.1.1, after download, prepairing install then popup Software Update fail. I tried many times still the same happen?
Does its normal thing when I plug it into computer, brings up iTunes, Sync begins, and then it stalls at step one. Message says the sync session failed to start. I have tried restarting the phone, restarting iTunes, restarting computer. There is plenty of space on the phone, both phone and iTunes are up to date. This has happened ten times in a row.
I was not able to download Nokia OVI Suite since Friday (12march10). Result was always the same: stop at 99%. I've tried different browsers with no success. Seems like sum hashes doesn't match. Meanwhile I've downloaded many other files from other sites without problem. I don`t believe the problem is in my comp. I use Windows7 enterprise and I have high speed internet connection (20Mb).
I wonder why I cannot download the new maps app. I have now (after upgrading to new SW v. 20 and hard reset) 29.8 Mb of free space on C and yet it fails....Could that be due to the fact that I deleted ( by ignorance ) some files on C when the previous SW version was running ? But since then I have reloaded the new SW version....I am at a loss...! Would somebody know how to make it work?
I know that one of the solutions for installing the MTP driver is to change your usb connection to Mass Storage and delete a folder in the private folder but i can't find it in the private folder! plenty of other folders with lots of digits but no 10208913 folder.
I have just given up and started using WMP in mass storage but it means i can't transfer actual playlists, the songs are transfered but i have to make a playlist manually on my phone which can get real tedious.
I also have that problem what can i do for this. I am using nokia C3-01 touch & typeModerator's Notes: This post was edited. A more appropriate subject was provided as it will be easier to solicit help from other users of the forum.

I removed the battery and now it won't start up.I have tried connecting to desktop. No good.I have tried booting up without the battery. No good.
If a chat window is not already open for a particular party, their first message may result in a chat window that cannot be opened. If the party has sent more than one entry of text, all messages will be lost in this case. The solution is to End Chat via the Options menu and open a new chat before the other party types anything further. If a chat window is always left open for the party.
