I have a Bold 9700 recently bought about 4 days ago... At first all the communication channels works fine i.e. Mobile Network, Wifi and Bluetooth. Suddenly this morning the wifi stop working. I'm unable to switch the wifi on even clicking on it many times. Tried to turn off the device and remove the battery for about a minute and still the problem is not solved.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOn the clock "page", there is a red symbol that looks like either a BB or a keyboard & it has 9AM there also.. I have gone into the alarm settings & have been unable to remove this alarm. I have no idea what it is. Also, on the home page, there is a tiny clock symbol.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a new BB 9700 Bold yesterday and having problems with setting up the sync for the calendar and the contacts which are on my outlook. My hotmail email accounts are working okay. The outlook is on my PC and is the front face for my hotmail accounts.
When I go in to the BB Desktop device manager - version 5.0.1 (latest version) , I go in to the configure option on the left and it lets me click on calendar> then I select outlook and it then lets me select 'finish'. However at this stage an error box flashes up saying 'no available message stores'.
In addition when I check the wifi config on the calendar and contacts icons on the BB device it will not let me select yes on the wireless connection for them.
Recently I have been getting a problem with my 9700 Blackberry. When I make or receive calls, I can not hear anything out of my handset. The person on the other line can hear fine (Usually with me going Hello Hello a million times!) The only time I can hear anything is when I have my bluetooth on or switching it to speakerphone.
I tried doing the soft reset (battery pull when the phone was still on) ...still nothing. Although it did work a couple of times. Its on and off, but recently the situation has gone from bad to worse.Anyone out there with the 9700 with the same issue? It's really annoying and I do use the phone a lot for important calls.
I have a BB Bold 2 (9700). The Media Card slot wont lock down the card and keeps springing it out. If i keep the card pressed down it works but wont lock down.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have Outlook 2007 on my desktop computer and use BT as a service provider and for my email, my Blackberry supplier is Vodafone and I use BIS.I have noticed that if my Blackberry receives an email first I don't get the same email delivered to my desktop. If my desktop gets an email first then the same email will be delivered to my Blackberry. I was happily deleting emails from my Blackberry thinking I would have them all on my desktop but I now find I have to check what emails I have on each before I delete anything. Is this an issue that anyone has come acrosss before and how do I resolve it apart from synching the Blackberry and desktop?I'm often away from the desktop which is why I bought the Blackberry in the first place.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI turned my BB off about 20 hours ago. When I tried to turn it on just now, it would not turn on! I tried removing the battery for a few seconds, and when I put it back in the LED glowed red, but then it turned off, and the deivice still will not turn on.
Can anything be done, short of throwing it in the river? Having acquired a Galaxy Tablet, I'm thinking I need to ditch the BB for an Android-based phone.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with my Blackberry and would be grateful if anyone knows what the problem is.I have only my Blackberry 9700 bold for 1 month or so.I am unable to lock my keypad by using the lock key on top of the phone. This has happened before but after charging my phone it started to work again. I have turned my phone on and off, tried charging it and the button still doesn't work. Although the keypad will lock when I put it into the leather case.Do you think it is a problem with my blackberry and I should return it? Or is this a problem people have had before and if so, how do I fix it?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy Bold is stuck on the boot screen (at about 75%). I've tried many battery pulls with and without the SIM and it keeps doing the same thing. I've searched what I think are all the threads on here relating to this, but I'm still stuck. I'm able to connect to the device if I run Loader.exe like a user suggested, but I don't know how/where to get software to load onto the device. All the places I've searched for an OS says I need to go into the device to find information about it. Well, I can't get into the device to do that. So, how do I know what OS to download and install? I really want to exhaust all possibilities before I have to completely wipe the device because I don't have a current backup. But, even if I wipe the device, I'm going to need to download an OS which I can't do now.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have recently purchased this 9700 (3 weeks ago) and am generally very pleased with the device. BUT If I leave the BB 9700 connected overnight to the computers USB Port for charging, and, obviously, after a few hours the computer will go to sleep, thus turning off the power to the USB port In the morning I find that the BB is: Off and will not turn on, unless it is power reset. In other words I have to open up the back and pull the battery for a second then after It is put back in the red light will display nevertheless it will turn on and be fine once it boots back up. There are no other indications or problems. I notice that other people have similar complaints with their BB's.

The camera was being a little funny and won't zoom so I switched off my phone and took out the battery and replaced it to try and reboot the phone. Now it won't turn on.When the battery is in the Red LED light at the top right corner lights up then goes off when the Phone starts up showing the BLACKBERRY Logo on the screen with the Loading Bar underneath. The bar then shows that it is loading but almost immediately it crashes and switches off. It does this repeatedly though I've tried removing and replacing the battery several times.
I'm sure it is not a problem with the battery as I had only charged it the previous night and even tried using another battery from my friends Blackberry just to double check but the phone continues to repeatedly turn on, crash, turn off.
Last week I bought a bold 9700 it seemed to be working then as it turned on ok. It was however not used since so the battery died. Sincee yesterday I have been trying to charge it and power it on to no avail all I am getting is the red light flight double flashing continuously.

When i got up it was still doing this but the progress bar gets a quarter of the way then the screen goes blank & it starts again. It has now been about 8 hours & its STILL doing this. It gets 2/3rds of the way along the horizontal loading line then turns off . Red light comes on for a few seconds then the phone tries to start again and the process repeats. Having put the battery back in, the phone now won't turn back on. The red LED is not on at all, the device isn't being recognised through USB, im pretty stuck. Is there anything I can do or should I return it to get a replacement?
I changed my profile to Phone Calls Only.I have dial from home screen on.but now whenever i press only the number keys at the menu, it makes the key-tone.if i press or start pressing a letter, the keytones go away.I looked in options -> screen/keyboard, and the setting is on off.
View 4 Replies View RelatedDid a restore on my 9700 this morning backing it up with my save from Friday. Turned it back on after the restore, no issues, everything worked fine then about 15 mins later the screen went white and had no funcitonality.
i did a battery pull and nothing happens. screen is now totally black, it wont reboot and the LED just flashes red once, pause, then three times? BBDM wont recongnize the device when its connected?
