How do I turn off the sound that the Bold 9700 plays with the auto on/off. The 9000 used to do auto on/off silently, but the 9700 plays a sound and I can't find the setting to remove the sound.

View 10 Replies View RelatedI have a bold 9700 v5.0.0.400(Platform 5.1.0.110)I always keep my phone on vibrate - I prefer it this way as I can be inconspicuous and answer at my convienience.I set an alarm the other day, and was shocked to discover it played an alarm ringtone.I also wanted to watch a movie silently, but it wouldn't let me, and started playing the track despite me thinking I had all the sounds off.Is there some master setting to mute all sounds, period?If not, how could I go about at least muting the alarm sounds?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI bought BB bold 9700 a couple of days ago and I notice a problem with the handsfree (stereo headphone) that came in the box.During the calls, even the slightest rub of the microphone and the wire against my cloths is hugely amplified and I hear it all along the call, which is extremely annoying and also this noise seems to overshadow the voice of the caller at the other end.Have any of you 9700 owners noticed this? How can I get this corrected?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI have had the same auto signature for over a year. Need to change the company name in that auto signature. I can make the change in the auto signature box, hit save, everything looks great. Except when I send messages it's still the old auto signature. If I go and click auto signature "off", the auto signature box goes away, everything looks great. Except when I send messages, the old auto signature is still being applied. I've reconciled, pulled the battery, did a quick on/off.

I used to be able to just sync the few songs I wanted to add, but since I upgraded to 6.0 it automatically tries to sync over 1000 files. I don't use the BB Desktop Software, I've been using Windows Media Player because I could sync single songs..

It works fine for close up pictures i.e. I press the button softly once and the camera focuses then the square goes green to say it focused, then I press again and it takes the picture fine. When I do the same for further away pictures I do the same process but the square never goes green....so the autofocus did not work. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
The camera settings are on normal for autofocus BTW.
There's no auto phone book function in 9700? For example, I saved a contact 12345678. Hence, from the main screen when I pressed 123, the contact I had saved earlier didn't show up. Is that a common problem of 9700?

View 9 Replies View RelatedOk i just bought the bold, forked out the full price to have the phone that hopefully has everything i need. The pictures look great and seem to adjust under bad lighting, great camera but when i installed barcode scanner program and tried it i realized the auto focus is not working and from what iam reading, even it it worked you have to use the right convence key, makes upclose pic hard to take. I tried pulling the battery, lowered quality setting "whats the point in that?", set auto focus to "normal" and "upclose" but still the camera's not focusing. I tried all this through the barcode program and just using the camera, someone please help, everything else seems to be working great.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI'm trying to set my phone to go into lock mode after a period of time (like 5 min or something). I've only been able to auto-lock it with a password protection but I don't want to enter a password every time, I just want to hit the button on top to unlock it.
Also, I don't use a holster...I just throw it in my pocket. Most of the time I remember to lock it before I put it in my pocket but every time I don't, I end up calling someone. I read the other threads prior to posting and nothing.
Mine is at 50% and no auto-dim.

When I delete emails on my BB, I noticed that the emails get downloaded again when I access my Mac Mail. Likewise, when I've deleted emails from my mac, they get downloaded again on my BB. How can I configure my BB and mac in such a way that the emails will not get downloaded from the server again after deleting?
I've tried going into: Options>SMS>Disable Auto Text>Save. It doesn't work. Is there another way to disable this fucnction? I get tired of seeing the box with word suggestions as I type messages.

Brand new devices.I have a problem with auto complete text. Once I transfer language from eng to other language with the keyboard shortcut (alt+enter ) the auto text stops working. Furthermore, the option box just disappears from the menu (options - text and languages ) !. Reset by battery removal fixes the problem.But, onces you repeat the above action the auto text complete disappears again...Some bug is there.... tried it with all 5 devices of my office.I contacted my provider- they were not aware of the problem and I demonstrated it to them. They dont know how to solve it...

Suddenly this morning the wifi stop working. I'm unable to switch the wifi on even clicking on it many times.
