I have a Bold 9650 and recently upgraded to OS 6.. what I want to know if it's possible NOT to sync all my music everytime I wanna add something. I used to be able to just sync the few songs I wanted to add, but since I upgraded to 6.0 it automatically tries to sync over 1000 files. I don't use the BB Desktop Software, I've been using Windows Media Player because I could sync single songs..
View 1 RepliesHere is what I would like to do and did in the past with Media player and my HTC Touch Pro 2 - I created an auto playlist that selects songs that have NOT been listened to, a playcount less than one. (it doesn't show up in the desktop manager for media sync) I would like to be able to listen to stuff (causing a play count of one on the phone), and then when I re-connect to the computer have media player remove what has a play count of more than zero. This had some success with my HTC Touch Pro 2. It appears to NOT work on my 8530, it looks like NOTHING gets removed from the phone and there is no "auto" about it. The memory card is full, I listened to songs, re-connected to the computer and it appears that media player sees that the card is full and does nothing.I have had my 8530 1 DAY and have gotten many answers here from previous threads.

I can make the change in the auto signature box, hit save, everything looks great. Except when I send messages it's still the old auto signature. If I go and click auto signature "off", the auto signature box goes away, everything looks great. Except when I send messages, the old auto signature is still being applied. I've reconciled, pulled the battery, did a quick on/off.

Media Sync, animates with the left and right arrows, then eventually times out with the 'did not recognize device' message.The device does not appear in Windows 7 Explorer.
View 3 Replies View RelatedUnit: Bold 9700. I run an HP P8600 Windows XP_SP3. All syncs including Media have worked fine...until now. Media Sync has instead, sunk. Have so far done this: Removed and reloaded DM. Removed and reloaded Media Sync (2x). Tried numerous usb ports and swapping usb cables (both original bb). Cleared check boxes from Power Management from usb root hub thingies, many Windows restarts, many battery pulls, ran calfix.exe. Media card is fine and mass storage is turned on. When BB connects, should it appear as a removable drive in My Computer? This is not happening. Problem is only with Media Sync.
View 7 Replies View RelatedSince upgrading to Version 5.0.1 neither the media manger nor blackberry media synch now work. the media manager always prompts to install and downloads but then does nothing. The blackberry media sync gets so far after launch the gives an error message. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling a number of times but cannot get the media manager to install so cannot now get any media off my phone or on to it. Any ideas anyone?

Every time I connect to Media Sync with my Storm, I receive a messages saying my device is not recognised and to make sure the card is inserted correctly etc. here is what I have done and I still receive the same message -
Taken out the media card and reinserted it
Taken out the battery and reinserted it
turned all the settings in (Options Memory) to on
Auto Enable Mass Sttorage Mode when Connected is set to Yes
Tried connecting to all USB ports on the PC ( I have 4)
PC OS is Windows 7
I've checked for all possible updates on BlackBerry Software (Device and Desktop and Media Sync) I have a completely updates Storm in terms of Software.
I performed a Sync using Blackberry Desktop and now the Bold 9000 is "dead". The battery was fully charged prior to the sync and the unit was working properly. Following the sync the unit display went blank and the unit will not turn on. I have removed the battery and replaced it with another known fully charged battery and I stll cannot get a system boot sequence to start. I have attempted to re-insert the sync cable and connect to the computer but the unit is still dead.I have also tried the charging cable but to no avail.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently installed OS 5.0.0.442 which was posted on the very first thread of the forum. I haven't had any issues with it until recently.
When I try a soft reset, I get the red indicator light as usual, but instead of resetting, I get a message on my screen that says something along the lines of "Media card installed. All media will be copied onto the device." After this dialog box goes away, the device does NOT reset. Any ideas on why the soft reset no longer works?
Despite having auto-rotate off in settings, it keeps rotating my screen, even in safe mode.
I've tried rebooting in safe mode, uninstalling recently updated apps, restarting phone.

Just had my htc one for about a week now but i'm not satisfied with the battery. I keep the 4g mobile data on all the time and do facebook, surfing net, youtube and listening to music. I already disabled auto sync as well as google now. At 100% battery umplugged at 9am, only about 20% left at 3pm and this has all been the same since the day i got this phone.

I only notice it has happened because I realize it has been long since I received a mail. This can happen anytime, I have not seen any pattern regarding when it happens.I switch on flight mode every night. I don't know whether that has anything to do with it.Before the update, when I used the Power Save app, after turning it on and then off, the phone would not restore the auto-sync setting, so it was kept off. I stopped using the Power Save app after that.I don't know if it's related.
