Jan 3, 2010I have connected my BB Bold to my wi-fi But i am not able to use my BB Messenger or any other BB applications which use Data plans. any workaround available?

Jun 6, 2010I just got my new Blackberry Bold 9000 and got everything migrated from my old Pearl and I have everything working good except the Blackberry Messenger. I upgraded it to 5.0.0.57 and all I get is the Blackberry Messenger License Agreement and it will not allow me to click on either button, ``I Accept``or ``Ì Do Not Accept`` .Is there something I`m missing or what.... This is very frustrating as it is my only way of communicating while I`m working.

Jan 22, 2010I am going on a cruise tomorrow and purchased 20 mb of international data usage. Is there any way to check my data usage on the phone itself so I don't go over (if you go over it is $20 for 1mb).THe att rep did not know. I did a search on cb and did come up with anything recent.

Jan 21, 2010While upgrading to the latest version of my BB messenger I had two unread messages. I didn't read these messages and completed the upgrade. Ever since then I have had the notification icon displaying the number 2 with the bb icon on my front screen. So now when I have two new messages it shows 4 and after reading the two it continues to display the two messages that don't exist.

I have friends with other models of blackberry and they have the same problem. Do you have a solution? I delete the application, I update... It's still working yahoo messenger on blackberry or not?

Right so I know a *bit* about Blackberry's (have a storm...) so I seem to be the go to for a lot of the bosses. As with most work phones, every other application has been deleted off it, eg bluetooth, instant messaging etc. The problem is that the Blackberry Messenger Message button (blue double B) is still appearing on his home screen, even though Instant Chat has been deleted.

Aug 7, 2012I've recently purchased my blackberry bold 9700 off of a friend, and im trying to update my blackberry messenger. i have tried creating a new blackberry ID and a message is appearing saying 'Blackberry app world is having troublr connecting to the blackberry app world server. Verify your network connections and try again. (error id:30641). this may sound silly but any ideas as to what i have to do? my network is fine and can use blackberry messenger and the internet and i am also connected to my home wifi?

Jun 13, 2012i sign up with ACN yesterday but unable to get blackberry messenger service. although, the other blackberry messenger service is on my old phone using crazy johns simcard is still on. talk on the phone with ACN specialist and they say all the service's still on.
anyone ever have the same problem as me? do i have to kill the messenger service on the other simcard first in order for me to get the messenger service?

Jul 11, 2010I have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.

Sep 17, 2010I am unable to send out emails (inbound emails are ok) after setting up my Bold 9000 for Internet Service email (using the Internet login mode). Device/Host are already registered and Service Books sent repeatedly (via Internet and also directly by the local Operator) but no resolution yet.
1. The service books for the 3 email accounts (yahoo, gmail,...) I set up are 'ticked' OK for the ones tagged as CICAL but those tagged CMIME seems to be deactivated (no entry sign).
2. The device was already wiped out (via repeated login failure) before the email setup steps
3. Although wiped, some earlier corporate settings seems to remain (security policy still showing corporate entity version, user info fields are also blocked and remain blank) - I prefer not to have to wipe the device again due to data and settings already in place. Had the following error when posting. What is it about "to" that's unacceptable? Now the body text of my post has embedded control codes

Dec 11, 2011I am having BlackBerry Bold 9000... i was out of country so i wasnt using my bold for a month now the battery has totaly drained i charged it for 3-4 hrs but no luck then i googled for this and got a method that keep wall charger on and remove the battery and put it in after 30 seconds. This showed up a sceen with battery and a bolt but now the red light glows for 50-60 seconds then the white screen with bolt and battery comes up then screen goes off and red light lit up. this is coming repetedly that is screen.

Feb 20, 2010I am using AT&T as my carrier and I am unable to connect to internet (Web Browser or e-mail)
without Wi-Fi. I have already tried:
1. Unplug the battery multiple times
2. Host Table Resend
3. Resend Service Books
I am able to make calls etc. but e-mail internet only works when I use my home Wi-Fi connection but not using 3G. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I could try. I have called AT&T and the only suggestion they gave is to wipe the device which seems rather drastic.
BB Bold 9000 :: Unable To Disable Firewall
May 27, 2010I have a Bold 9000 that 'used' to be on a BES with Enterprise policies and such. I've gone through the company to remove all policies, and have even gone through the trouble of resetting the handheld using JLcmder.Everything was great been using it for about 6 months. I have finally upgraded to OS 5.0 and tried to install Sirius Radio on it, but get the error that my firewall policy will not allow it?
Checking my firewall, I noticed that it is in fact enabled with a lock beside it.I'm not sure if it was always enabled, but would of suspected that both the reset device settings and the removal of the policies would of done this?In any event, I've gone through the JLcmder and reset the settings. This allows me to disable the firewall. However when I try to restore my apps and data, the firewall setting goes back to being enabled and unlockable.Is there anyway to reset this and be able to restore my old data, apps and such without having my backup enable the firewall?
I've also tried backing up a net new config (after the reset device settings), then loading my old backup and trying to copy over the firewall policy (from the net new config) to no avail.On a side note, has anyone who has upgraded to 5.0 notice that their General Settings under their Security Menu has disappeared?

The Wireless AP is a Buffalo Nfinity B/G/N and I have several other devices connected, two Wireless N laptops and a Wireless G Ethernet bridge, no issues at all there.The phone sees the network, asks me for the passphrase and tries to connect, but then fails with "Unable to obtain IP address".MAC filtering isn't enabled and the AP is currently set to WPA2-PSK AES but changing that to other options seems to have no effect, same failure message on the Blackberry each time.
