BB Bold 9000 :: Unable To Update OS

i am unable to update OS for my Bold. the present one is 4.6.0.266 when i tried updating from handset and by connecting through laptop, every time it says no updates available. how can i upgrade to OS 5.

I been trying to update my BB bold 9000 software from 4.6 to the newest 5.0 official and the DM do not allow me to do it . It keeps saying that the unit is up to date. Tried the Web based loader and is the same.

I have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.

I want to download app from blackberry world but can't log on using my blackberry id as usual. But when I use my email and pass word to log on blackberry id through blackberry website, it has no problem. I tried to set new password and log on again but I still doesn't work?

I am unable to send out emails (inbound emails are ok) after setting up my Bold 9000 for Internet Service email (using the Internet login mode). Device/Host are already registered and Service Books sent repeatedly (via Internet and also directly by the local Operator) but no resolution yet.
1. The service books for the 3 email accounts (yahoo, gmail,...) I set up are 'ticked' OK for the ones tagged as CICAL but those tagged CMIME seems to be deactivated (no entry sign).
2. The device was already wiped out (via repeated login failure) before the email setup steps
3. Although wiped, some earlier corporate settings seems to remain (security policy still showing corporate entity version, user info fields are also blocked and remain blank) - I prefer not to have to wipe the device again due to data and settings already in place. Had the following error when posting. What is it about "to" that's unacceptable? Now the body text of my post has embedded control codes

I am unable to sign in to Yahoo! Messenger and receiving the error "Invalid Yahoo! ID or Password," however I am able to sign in to Yahoo! Messenger on my computer. I have changed my password and re-installed the application but still didn't work. I also tried to reboot device and pull out the battery but still cannot sign in. My Blackberry type is Bold 9000 OS 5 and Messenger installed is version 2.5.125. Need help to solve this trouble and clearly advise.

I am having BlackBerry Bold 9000... i was out of country so i wasnt using my bold for a month now the battery has totaly drained i charged it for 3-4 hrs but no luck then i googled for this and got a method that keep wall charger on and remove the battery and put it in after 30 seconds. This showed up a sceen with battery and a bolt but now the red light glows for 50-60 seconds then the white screen with bolt and battery comes up then screen goes off and red light lit up. this is coming repetedly that is screen.

I am using AT&T as my carrier and I am unable to connect to internet (Web Browser or e-mail)
without Wi-Fi. I have already tried:
1. Unplug the battery multiple times
2. Host Table Resend
3. Resend Service Books
I am able to make calls etc. but e-mail internet only works when I use my home Wi-Fi connection but not using 3G. Does anyone have any other suggestions on what I could try. I have called AT&T and the only suggestion they gave is to wipe the device which seems rather drastic.

I have a Bold 9000 that 'used' to be on a BES with Enterprise policies and such. I've gone through the company to remove all policies, and have even gone through the trouble of resetting the handheld using JLcmder.Everything was great been using it for about 6 months. I have finally upgraded to OS 5.0 and tried to install Sirius Radio on it, but get the error that my firewall policy will not allow it?
Checking my firewall, I noticed that it is in fact enabled with a lock beside it.I'm not sure if it was always enabled, but would of suspected that both the reset device settings and the removal of the policies would of done this?In any event, I've gone through the JLcmder and reset the settings. This allows me to disable the firewall. However when I try to restore my apps and data, the firewall setting goes back to being enabled and unlockable.Is there anyway to reset this and be able to restore my old data, apps and such without having my backup enable the firewall?
I've also tried backing up a net new config (after the reset device settings), then loading my old backup and trying to copy over the firewall policy (from the net new config) to no avail.On a side note, has anyone who has upgraded to 5.0 notice that their General Settings under their Security Menu has disappeared?

I have BB Bold 9000 (v.4.6.0.303). I upgraded the BBM to verion 5 (5.0.0.57), and cannot send any media files using BBM - whether it's a picture, voice file, you name it. The options simply don't exist in my BBM menu.

When I sync my BB to my Mac, it says that there is an update available for my BB, and when I try to update, it keeps saying not enough memory. I deleted all the apps, even the core apps, I wiped my device still no solution!

Software update keeps failing saying there has been an error and that the device has been disconnected when it hasn't and the connection is fine. It will not turn on or function any more unless the software is updated.

For some unknown reason my Blackberry refuses to connect to my home Wifi. The Wireless AP is a Buffalo Nfinity B/G/N and I have several other devices connected, two Wireless N laptops and a Wireless G Ethernet bridge, no issues at all there.The phone sees the network, asks me for the passphrase and tries to connect, but then fails with "Unable to obtain IP address".MAC filtering isn't enabled and the AP is currently set to WPA2-PSK AES but changing that to other options seems to have no effect, same failure message on the Blackberry each time.

Very sporadic. Will load one minute, then when requesting a moment later will show above display. Very unreliable to a point of being useless. Have tried everything online and no resolution.

I have Unlocked BB Bold 9000 (VendorID : 302). I downloaded BB OS 5.0 for BB Bold 9000 for Zain-Kuwait Operator from Blackberry official site as I need Arabic support in it then I installed the exe file. Deleted the Vendor.xml from C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader and Started the Loader from the same folder above but it refuse to update to the 5.0 and if i clicked Browse and selected Blackberry.alx from the new software folder in C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionSharedLoader Files9000M_v5.0.0.464_P5.2.0.41. It tells me This Apllication is not compatible with your device and cannot be loaded.

On my Blackberry bold 9000 since last night (approximately) I have not been receiving e-mails however I am still able to send e-mails.On the diagnostics check everything came back as yes apart from connected to e-mail, however this is the first time this has happened and I have confirmed that I have entered the correct log in details. Does anyone have any ideas on why this is happening as I would have thought that if I wasn't connected to my e-mail account that I would not have been able to send e-mails? Any help would be appreciated, I am a UK Vodafone user.

My Blackberry has worked fine for 13 months. Today I looked up a contact in Outlook on my laptop and I only had 11 instead of the 1200+ I used to have. I still have all the contacts on my device. When I synced my device with my laptop it only synced those 11 contacts. I can't get the other 1200+ into Outlook on my computer. Help!

This is my third BlackBerry Bold 9000, and the first time I've had problems downloading the FB app. It says 'Sorry, your device does not meet the systems requirements that are needed to support FB.' I've tried resending service book and removing battery - which did nothing. My Bold is v 4.6.303, platform 4.0.0.248, application memory 61.0MB, Device memory 859.2MB (free space 823.6MB).

its a rogers phone wich i unlocked to use on Fido. everything was perfect untill today i decided to uptade it to the new OS 5. everything went fine and then teir was a blackpage with blackberry writen on it it had a litle load icon moving when that over it restarted and turned on i then went to the browser (btw all this and it was still pluged via USB) the next thing i see is that it has turned off it had a red light on (wich untill now still is 15min have passed) what happens is that it keeps reloading that page with the blackberry writen and the white loading line thing but wont turn on (it wont go to the clock)

Only recently my telco releases OS5 for BOLD 9000. Initially I downloaded it and tried to install but it says that there is insufficient space, at that point of time i still keep my fav theme ans stuff which free apps space is around 20mb, and the installation still says that I have insufficient space until I totally wipe the whole thing clean to its original factory status BUT it still says insufficient space for update. Do I have to delete the system software of 4.6 before I need to have the "space" required? (I have currently 50mb of free apps space isn't it enough?)
Please help as the previous update from earlier version to version 4.6 was just few clicks away from desktop manager and things are done and for this 4.6 to 5 update takes me 1 whole day, loosing all my setting and data (cleaned EVERYTHING that I can think of and read all the thread in CB still I can't update to OS 5) Its a Real waste of time and pain from head to toe. I have 50mb of free Application storage space and yet it still needs 7mb of space for the update. I'm thinking of sledge hammering my Bold a couple of time through the process of deleting and restarting.
