Twice in the past week I got my phone out and it was off and unresponsive. I had to do soft boot with power volume down to get the phone working. This is something that I have not experienced with other android phones. I am on Verizon with stock Galaxy S6 running 5.0.2.
Is this a defective phone or some application causing problems. What steps can I take to troubleshoot the problem. Having my phone randomly stop working is unacceptable as this is my primary line. I can't afford to miss calls.
I have a huge problem with my blackberry torch 9800 : My keyboard just randomly stop working! it had no choc, the central touch still moving but I cannot select anything! except this one, no other touch is working...what can I do?

View 15 Replies View RelatedHer phone was perfect before doing the updates. Now, she claims the BT just turns off and won't turn back on (in the car, connected to the car audio system). I looked at her phone the other day and sure enough, BT and WIFI were both OFF, and when I tried to turn them on, it said something like "Sorry, can't to that right now. Try again later.". Turned off phone and turned back on, and it's fine...for a while, then does the same thing.

Whenever I send a text to someone on my iPhone, they say they receive it from my email, not my number. I looked at Messages in the settings and when it showed my number (above my email) it said verifying. I also looked at FaceTime in the settings and when it showed my number it said error. How do I make it so people receive my texts from my number?

It seems that my iPhone 4 has decided that it wants to randomly switch of iMessage and Factime at random points during the day. This has only happened since the os 5.0.1 upgrade! I have not reset it because i have heard that this does not work! I have tried just using my phone number, then just my apple id account, then both together on the settings for both, but it is still randomly switching off.

Resetting settings didn't work and erasing everything only worked for about a day, then it started doing it again. This is actually my second phone to do this.
View 1 Replies View Relatedi am now on the 3rd Storm in as many weeks. Each one suffered the same problem. Random reboots/restarts.Phone 1 was the worst - I purchased it as a 2month old used unit. I wiped it clean at purchase and setup for my use. I did not enable Blackberry services with Vodacom for 2weeks. In that time it behaved with no problems. A day after enabling BB Services with service provider the random restarts would happen. It was primarily during BB Messaging, but was not limited to that. It would restart during calls. Other times i would pick it up off desk and see that it restarted. (pin was requested).There were times that it would restart 3 to 4 times in succession before eventually "stabalising"i visited Vodacom and was told that all Storm 2's before Mar 2010 were recalled" I was given a replacement unit.Phone 2 - Service Provider configured phone for me and restored only contacts. emails and messages. Next day restarts began. Display goes white and error message displays for a few seconds. Then phone restarts. It would reboot totally randomly. Taken from pocket. whilst driving, during a call, laying on desk. Vodacom gave another unit after testing it for a few hours.Phone 3 - Only contacts restored. Original OS and settings used. Random restarts 3 times in one day as with phone 2. It however seemed to be "worse" at certain location "my office".A technincian suggest setting to 2G only. This worked okay for 2 days and then i took from pocket and it had restarted.Event log just said powered off and powered on. No error message.This is a day later and no more reboots. But phone still on 2G.I see that restarts/reboots are common place with the Storm2 and wonder if it is a design fault.i am gonna re-enable 3G and watch again.

I got my Bold 9790 and update it from 7 to 7.1 as soon as I got it.Since the beginning, I had been having random reboots over and over without any clear reason. It happens suddenly while texting, using BBM or WhatsApp and sometimes after a phone call, it even reboots when I am not using it at all (during the night when I'm asleep).

View 6 Replies View RelatedI have a Chronus clock and an Accuweather widget that wil randomly stop updating. The only way to resolve this is to reboot the phone. The Chronus clock works ok, but the battery meter will randomly stop updating. The Accuweather wigdet will also stop. If I remove and re-add the Accuweather app, all I get is the "Loading" screen.

My S5 will simply stop playing mp3's whether stored on the sd card or internally. I have tried limiting the number of background apps, tried three different player, and installed an app that is supposed to keep music playing. None of these things have worked. I synced all songs in my iTunes with my new Motorola Atrix 2. It downloaded all the songs to my 16gb microsd card. When I play songs on my music player with my headphones, the music will stop randomly. Some other times it won't stop and will play for a long time. I had a feeling it was somehow related to turning the screen off using the power button after I start my playlist but I am not sure about it. Again with this case, sometimes it stops and other times it would play correct. There are some apps as on my auto-end list but music player isn't one of them

However, on my iPhone, when I try to message someone new; I can't. They have to eniciate the conversation with me. And now when I try to respond to some people I already have an iMessage with it changes from blue to green for SMS, which I obviously cannot do without service. My friend suggested turning iMessage off and then back on. Now it says waiting for activation. Why? My ipad works fine.
