BB Bold :: Randomly Go Through Address Book And Start Calling People All By Itself?
May 10, 2011
My Blackberry Bold will randomly go through my address book and start calling people all by itself! The green caller button doesn't work, when i lock the phone it will keep lighting up and when i tx it automatically comes up with if id like to call the number im txing, then calls it regardless!
My iPhone 4S randomly loses contacts, even if I have re-entered them into the phone. Tonight 12 of the contacts I text to are no longer in my address book. Their text window just shows their phone number.
I have S'ony Xperia X8. The address book icon desappear of the screen corner (emails/music/numbers and address book). How can I put it in that place again?
i have blackberry 9810 and i want to send my contacts from my address book on my macbook pro to my blackberry . i installed the blackberry desktop software Then I connect my blacberry to my macbook pro and the sync started .the calender , notes , tasks was Synchronized and every thing was ok but the contacts didnt Synchronize and I do not know why..
I've noticed during a conversation if I say "yes" or "uh-uh" (or make any comment) it cuts out the other person, almost like when call waiting clicks in or you get the notification that a text came in. It's long enough that I miss a word or two. It's not like the other folks where their fingers were over the mic. It's like you can't come close to saying a word unless the other person is completely silent for a few seconds.
I had done a 'RSET' to clear the contacts in the address book. Now I find that I am unable to save new contacts. Is there any way to resolve this problem without having to reinstall the OS.
I have a problem with deleted names and numbers in my address book coming back and also multiple contacts appearing in my contact list. I delete and sync with my online and desktop and it still happens.
I cannot modify or add a new contact in my book address on my mobile. Type of mobile is BlackBerry 9700 Bold. I have already restart the phone by dismantling the battery 3 to 4 times. What shall I do to make the application works?
I have a problem to sync my contact list using Blackberry Desktop Software. the problem is only 29 out of my 300+ contacts are synced. In my BB phone i noticed that in "Contacts/Options" there are two Contact Lists both with the name "Desktop". the first one has 29 entries and the "Wireless Synchronization" option is available but for the second contact list which has the rest of my contacts, the "Wireless Synchronization" is not available ! it seems that Blackberry Desktop Software can not sync with the second Contact List because of this.
I was trying to create a sub folder in my address book & now I can't find my original add book. The add book icon is still there, but there are no contacts in it. The best i remember i hit filter and chose business & typed in a name for what i thought would be a new folder or group. i'm not sure what happened, but I can't see any of my contacts. I have switched from personl to business & back again & it says "no contacts" on both. But if I go to email & put in a letter all of my old contacts that begin with that letter show up. & my speed dials still work. But if i go to sms/mms & do compose sms it shows "No Addresses"....well I spoke too soon...now if i go to email & type in a letter it don't show a list of ppl that begin with that letter.... I have tried taking the battery out with the phone off & on & it's still the same....
Can't get Activity Log to pick up any results. Use feature heavliy with 8350 model and can't get it to work on the 9700. AT&T is carrier and current software is V5.0.0.405 and software is enterprise server based. Any suggestions here?
Running OS 7.1.0.746 on the Rogers NetworkEverytime I add or edit a contact and press "save" the phone freezes for up to a minute before I can use it again. This also happens when inviting or accepting a new BBM contact. (BBM 7)I've already done a OS re-load and a re-install of BBM 7. Available Application Storage: 102.8 MBAvailable Built In Media Storage: 6.2 GB
I recently have wiped my BB clear completely (making a back up before ofcourse) cause I had to reinstall my email accounts (changed carrier). When I wanted to restore my data it copied everything but it left my contacts out. When I tried to individually add data I noticed that the option to choose Addresses/Contacts was grey (I can't tick the box).
I used google sync to get my contacts in the phone. Now, when I use the compose mail option I can see all the contacts in the autofill but I am not able to see them in the main address book.
Phone no are not included in these contacts and I would like to add them to these email IDs . Can anyone suggest the best way to do it. So there are 2 problemsHow can I see these contacts in the main address bookIf I receive a call from any of these contacts I would like to know the shortest and fastest way to add the phone no to the contact in my main address book.
have 6.0 on my Bold 9700 and am using Desktop 6.1.0.35. In the organizer it saysAddress book, calender, memo, and tasks are not installed. Will not let me sync. I have wiped the BB several times and retried. nothing seems to work. I have read many posts but can not find anything to work.
is it possible to copy my address book presently on my bold 9700 into the multimedia card in there. Target is to back up such addresses to be re inserted into another BB
I recently updated my bb to bold 9930. When I synch the new bb with my outlook address book on my home computer it does not update the deletions, but adds the changes -- so I have a longer address book yet again.
I think that I need to delete the current address book on the bb bold, and then add the revised outlook address book to the bb bold. In essence, overwriting the current address book on the bb bold.
How do I delete the current address book on the bb bold 9930?
The contacts in my Bold 9780 are not syncing with the address book in my Macbook Pro. Eg new contacts that I've created in Bold do not appear in the address book. I did not have this problem previously until last week.
Somehow my Bold made a duplicate entry for each address I have in my address book. I don't know how or why this happened, but now when I go to sync my device with Outlook, it wants to put all those duplicated addresses on my desktop. Is there a way to delete duplicate entries in my address book?
I read where there is pretty much no way to reassign different names to the number in the address book of the curve but can this be done on our 9700? for instance, my friend has way too many phone numbers for his job and they are all mobile numbers. Is there any way for me to label one like nextel or somehting and one personal cell and one work cell? Or have one contact for mr and mrs such and such with both cell numbers in the contact but label one his and the other hers? Am I making any sense here?
So I wiped my bb bold 9000. All went well, except when I open up the Desktop Manager to sync my calendar and address book, DM gives me the following error message: The default service for your device's "address book" is no longer available. The new service for synchronization is "blahblah@wrongemail.com"
I have five email addresses linked to my Bold (yahoo, gmail, live, etc) and I want it to sync with my work address book and calendar (not blahblah@wrongemail.com). It had no problem doing this before the wipe...
I have gone in to options/advanced options/default services and changed both options (CICAL and CMIME) to my work email address, but I still get the error message. I even went so far as to delete all five email addresses and start adding them from scratch...making sure that I added my work email address first...figuring that may set it as default.
When entering a new contact the software will not allow me to enter a Canadian style alpha-numeric postal code -- in that field the keyboard is set to only use the number pad. Even if i show the contact's country as canada the field does not change.I can, however, enter contacts in Contact Manger in Outlook then synch the address book -- and the postal code shows up properly.
I want to Synchronize my device address book with yahoo's
After experiencing some problems I decided to start from cero and deleted all contacts of my yahoo address book. I then synchronized with the Blackberry desktop manager (arrow pointing out in both directions) and loaded all data from the device (address book) to yahoo.
When I do changes using my PC directly in yahoo and then sync with device all works apparently OK, e.g. if I modify a name adding a surname that will be synchronized correctly in the device, however the changes I do in an existing record in my device with the sync won't be done in yahoo.
What shall I do to have all changes done to my device's adress book in the yahoo account.
