It seems that my iPhone 4 has decided that it wants to randomly switch of iMessage and Factime at random points during the day. This has only happened since the os 5.0.1 upgrade! I have not reset it because i have heard that this does not work! I have tried just using my phone number, then just my apple id account, then both together on the settings for both, but it is still randomly switching off.

Face time will not switch on - I go to settings, select FaceTime and switch it on only to find that it immediateky returns to OFF. I cannot make FaceTime calls.

Someone I know left the US to spend a week in Bermuda. While she was there she couldn't receive iMessages but i could send her SMS Text Messages just fine. Now she has returned to the US, but my phone continues to send her SMS Text Messages. I tried deleting the entire conversation, as well as turning iMessage off and back on in Settings, but no matter what I do my messages to her continue to be SMS.Â
