I bought my iphone like a month and a half ago and I haven't been able to activate imessage or facetime. I have tried activating it with my apple id but it doesn't work, I tried doing it with wifi on airplane mode and nothing. I even restored it.

i purchased the new iphone 4s black 16gb yesterday and i can make calls receive calls and receive text messages yet i cannot send any sms text messages to any of my friends and this is obviously concerning me. Why also when i send an imessage to my friend it comes up with my email and not my phone number i have checked this and i cannot change it to my number. When i go to activate my imessage and facetime , I type in my username and password like it says and then it just says error check internet connection. However, Im on my personal wifi which works 100% and even when i switch it off wifi it still says the same thing?

View 2 Replies View Relatedi went to send a imessage to a friend in scottland but the send icon did not turn ble for imessage, i tried it again with a US based person and same thing, upon going into my settings the imessage option was turned off, i went to turn it back on and i keep getting a "An error occurred during activation" my face time is fine and working well, is there anyhthing i can do or should i try and restore my phone and see if that helps(i dont need the hassle to restor if i dont need to)
