Resetting settings didn't work and erasing everything only worked for about a day, then it started doing it again. This is actually my second phone to do this.
View 1 RepliesIn the past two days I've missed multiple incoming text messges and at least two outgoing texts were not delivered. I'm on AT&T with an iPhone 4S. The three other phones are not AT&T, but one is also an iPhone 4S. The missed incoming texts was from the iPhone 4S was sent as an iMessage with the blue bubble & "delivered" underneath. I restarted my phone three days ago & again this morning. I have sent and received other texts and calls during the timeframe. Is this a network or iPhone issue?

My iPhone 4S is not sending or receiving text messages (iMessage is fine). It is also not sending or receiving any phone calls. I'm with Fido and there are always full bars/signal available. This happens for about 2-3 days, then starts working, then 2-3 weeks later it happens again.

I have no other ideas why my phone is acting up. Nothing has changed in my house in the past 3 weeks besides getting a new computer. Since that time, my house has become a sort of dead zone for my IPhone 4s. Here is the computer I bought.

I upgraded the power supply and video card. I also disabled the built in wireless card and put back in my USB wifi adapter, which I used on my last computer and had no issues. My phone works like normal everywhere else. When I'm home texts says they failed to send, when It turns out they actually do sometimes. When people send me texts, It tells them it fails also. When I try to make a call, It says Call Failed. When I go outside, I get bombarded with whatever texts I missed but can also make calls.
I've called ATT, which is my provider. They've reset everything and ran out of ideas. I called Geek Squad at best buy. I exhausted their ideas. I'm hoping someone out there has a clue on what could have happened.

It started randomly. i can still browse the internet but i cant call anyone and i cant sed or recieve text messages.ive tried a factory reset but i still gave the same problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedFour days ago it just stops sending texts and calls. When I try to send an SMS a little red clock appears next to the message and then after a few minutes it says 'Retries Exceeded'. Whenever I place a call it immediately turns up 'Call Failed'.Then I realised I wasn't receiving texts/calls either.All my bills are up to date, Orange have checked twice now that there isn't a bar on my account, I have set it to 2G only and 3G only, neither did anything so it's back to 2G&3G, I've checked I'm connected to the right network, I have pretty much full signal. I can use BBM and 3G reliant apps such as Facebook but I cannot send/receive emails with either of my accounts.I've updated to the latest OS and I even fully wiped the handset. Done numerous battery pulls.
Tested my sim card in a friends Bold and I suddenly received dozens of unread text messages and numerous missed calls.Kind of worried right now, as I bought this second hand ages ago... it wasn't provided with my contract (which was an LG Arena that I sold to help pay for the Bold) and I have no insurance to speak of.
I'm heading to an Orange shop tomorrow to see what they say, but I've got an awful feeling it's done for and I'll have to cope with my old Nokia 3310 (it's not even colour screen!) for the next 6 months while I save up enough money to buy another Bold...
Please, please, please any help at all? I've been searching the forums and Google for days, but everyone who had this problem appears to have fixed it with battery pulls
My phone suddenly stopped sending and receiving texts and calls. I couldn't do anything. There was also a little green phone in a circle with a red asterisk on the home screen.

The first 6 months with the G3 were fine but lately I'm not receiving like 5% of my texts. The ones im not getting are from various users. I'll get the first 5 texts from them, then I'll miss one. No problem sending. I swapped the SIM and did a few FDR and still haven't cleared the issue.
View 7 Replies View RelatedWell, this is my 3rd torch in about 10 months and i turned it on this morining to find that no one was replying to my texts... so i waited a few hours because i presumed that maybe some people were busy, etc... but it wasnt untill my freind sent me an fb message saying she replied to my texts sent earlier today, that i realised that something was wrong... i sent her another text saying to post on my wall what it was what i had sent her, to see if it was mine or her phone, turns out its my phone.... so to double check i sent a message from my other phone to the torch to see if it was just her bold misbehaving, but turns out that my phone didnt get that text either... checked my firewall to see if i had accidentaly set it to texts, i feel like throwing the phone on the floor because its so **bleep**.... after this im never buying a blackberry..
View 2 Replies View RelatedText using laptop? I've been using an native mac app called "Verizon Messages+" to text my contacts through my computer however I'm looking for a bit of an upgrade. I ran by an app called "AirDroid" which looks pretty neat but kind of feature bloated at the same time.
I'd prefer to use a native app as opposed to going to a website and/or using a chrome plugin. This was probably one of my favorite features about iMessage, I was able to seamlessly message contacts through a clean and intuitive interface on my computer.
Befor the problem started i could text and call my friend without a problem, but now when i text him he doesnt get thim (i know its not a delay cause thy never come through) or my phone calls. so i called my carrier and they said the texts and calls have been comeing through there servers and are sent.
iv tryed restoring my phone and all the other things other sites have siad to do, when i start a chat with him it comes up as imessage like normal and i type the message and when i hit send and it siads it sends but the little delivery thing that appers at the bottom never comes up but it. but i cant text everyone els that imessage or just text they all get them so it seems its just him

An employees phone recently took a few spills and was upgraded by corporate. I backed up his old AT&T Curve 8310 before I rolled his number over to his new Verizon Bold 8650 yesterday.Everything was working properly, but due to time constraints I didn't get a chance to restore his contacts/info over to this new phone until this morning and this I think is where I created a problem. After I did a restore on the new Bold, the ability to send/recieve emails as well as text messages stopped (of course I don't hear about this until he's left the office and is off to the airport).  The phone will still send/recieve calls, but email/texts (and presumably web) are a no go. His emails are currently being delivered via POP/webmail and every time he tries to send out an email or a text he gets an error on screen.When I did the restore, did the phone grab the old AT&T settings and tried to supplant them over the VZW settings?
Edit the second After an additional phone call with this employee, he was able to recieve a test message that I sent to him, but when he tried to respond, there wasn't an option for him to send the response that he had written, be it via my message, or by creating a new message.
I can't find the icon for sms. Would you know how to get it back?

I've tried all over the Internet, my network provider and work colleagues but I'm have an annoying problem with my iPhone 3GS.
Out of all my contacts in my phone book everyone works ok apart from only 2! The 2 can receive my texts and my calls but the "Cannot" reply to me as if the call the get "Call Failed" and the texts send from their phone but I don't receive them.
I've deleted and re-entered the contacts (They have done the same)......I have done a "Complete Factory Reset" of my iPhone but the problem still persists with these 2 contacts only.
I have not blocked them..(Don't know how to) & I don't have any "Blocker Apps) on my phone but the problem still won't go away.

View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got my GS6 about 2 weeks ago and then had my work email/outlook added to it. Now all of my texts are being auto-forwarded to my work email, which I do not want! How do I stop this from happening? I saw a similar thread about SGS2's, but I think the locations of settings must have changed a bit because those directions were not completely compatible. I want to make sure I can still view my work email on my phone; just don't want my personal texts going into my work's email/network.

Several of our users are reporting that when they leave for the day, their email do not populate until they return to the office the next morning. What I've gathered so far is, it seems like the device doesn't know when to switch back to 3G when the Wi-Fi connection we have here at work drops. In other words, the phone stops sending/receiving email because it no longer has a Wi-Fi connection but it never switches back to 3G. If I turn off the Wi-Fi on the problematic devices, they never have any of the problems mentioned above - but the uppers do not like that solution.
I recently switched my line to another family members blackberry bold as my navigator/cursor no longer worked. I have not received calls, nor texts, nor emails for last 30 hours from others and calls go straight to voice mail. I have removed battery and rebooted with no resolution.

A LOT of people unrelated to each other have told me they have called me and text me numerous times yet i receive nothing. wow, after the fifth call you answer the phone and you never responded to my text comments are getting pretty annoying. i hope that with a clean slate i have a better experience with ICS. it's amazing how ICS was released in November of last year and after 7 months of production Motorola screws things up.

when I make a call it immediately says "call ended/closed" and when I enter *110# I get this message: Connections problems or invalid MMI-code.When I restart my phone, maybe repeting that process like 10 times then I can send/recieve calls/texts, but only for a brief moment.Before it wasn't as bad... I always got the Connection problem message after a I've made a phone call. But now it is bugging me 24/7.I have resetted my phone, I've even upgraded it. I then wont receive messages until hours later when I guess it finally has sent? Also, in my messaging its showing messages from years ago.
