BB Curve :: Suddenly Stopped Sending / Receiving Texts And Calls
Oct 12, 2012My phone suddenly stopped sending and receiving texts and calls. I couldn't do anything. There was also a little green phone in a circle with a red asterisk on the home screen.

Apr 8, 2012Well, this is my 3rd torch in about 10 months and i turned it on this morining to find that no one was replying to my texts... so i waited a few hours because i presumed that maybe some people were busy, etc... but it wasnt untill my freind sent me an fb message saying she replied to my texts sent earlier today, that i realised that something was wrong... i sent her another text saying to post on my wall what it was what i had sent her, to see if it was mine or her phone, turns out its my phone.... so to double check i sent a message from my other phone to the torch to see if it was just her bold misbehaving, but turns out that my phone didnt get that text either... checked my firewall to see if i had accidentaly set it to texts, i feel like throwing the phone on the floor because its so **bleep**.... after this im never buying a blackberry..

Apr 27, 2015Text using laptop? I've been using an native mac app called "Verizon Messages+" to text my contacts through my computer however I'm looking for a bit of an upgrade. I ran by an app called "AirDroid" which looks pretty neat but kind of feature bloated at the same time.
I'd prefer to use a native app as opposed to going to a website and/or using a chrome plugin. This was probably one of my favorite features about iMessage, I was able to seamlessly message contacts through a clean and intuitive interface on my computer.
IPhone :: 4S Randomly Not Receiving Or Sending Texts?
May 9, 2012In the past two days I've missed multiple incoming text messges and at least two outgoing texts were not delivered. I'm on AT&T with an iPhone 4S. The three other phones are not AT&T, but one is also an iPhone 4S. The missed incoming texts was from the iPhone 4S was sent as an iMessage with the blue bubble & "delivered" underneath. I restarted my phone three days ago & again this morning. I have sent and received other texts and calls during the timeframe. Is this a network or iPhone issue?

May 12, 2012My iPhone 4S is not sending or receiving text messages (iMessage is fine). It is also not sending or receiving any phone calls. I'm with Fido and there are always full bars/signal available. This happens for about 2-3 days, then starts working, then 2-3 weeks later it happens again.

BB Bold :: 9650 Not Sending/receiving Email/texts?
Feb 23, 2010An employees phone recently took a few spills and was upgraded by corporate. I backed up his old AT&T Curve 8310 before I rolled his number over to his new Verizon Bold 8650 yesterday.Everything was working properly, but due to time constraints I didn't get a chance to restore his contacts/info over to this new phone until this morning and this I think is where I created a problem. After I did a restore on the new Bold, the ability to send/recieve emails as well as text messages stopped (of course I don't hear about this until he's left the office and is off to the airport).  The phone will still send/recieve calls, but email/texts (and presumably web) are a no go. His emails are currently being delivered via POP/webmail and every time he tries to send out an email or a text he gets an error on screen.When I did the restore, did the phone grab the old AT&T settings and tried to supplant them over the VZW settings?
Edit the second After an additional phone call with this employee, he was able to recieve a test message that I sent to him, but when he tried to respond, there wasn't an option for him to send the response that he had written, be it via my message, or by creating a new message.

Jul 10, 2010Four days ago it just stops sending texts and calls. When I try to send an SMS a little red clock appears next to the message and then after a few minutes it says 'Retries Exceeded'. Whenever I place a call it immediately turns up 'Call Failed'.Then I realised I wasn't receiving texts/calls either.All my bills are up to date, Orange have checked twice now that there isn't a bar on my account, I have set it to 2G only and 3G only, neither did anything so it's back to 2G&3G, I've checked I'm connected to the right network, I have pretty much full signal. I can use BBM and 3G reliant apps such as Facebook but I cannot send/receive emails with either of my accounts.I've updated to the latest OS and I even fully wiped the handset. Done numerous battery pulls.
Tested my sim card in a friends Bold and I suddenly received dozens of unread text messages and numerous missed calls.Kind of worried right now, as I bought this second hand ages ago... it wasn't provided with my contract (which was an LG Arena that I sold to help pay for the Bold) and I have no insurance to speak of.
I'm heading to an Orange shop tomorrow to see what they say, but I've got an awful feeling it's done for and I'll have to cope with my old Nokia 3310 (it's not even colour screen!) for the next 6 months while I save up enough money to buy another Bold...
Please, please, please any help at all? I've been searching the forums and Google for days, but everyone who had this problem appears to have fixed it with battery pulls

May 10, 2012I have no other ideas why my phone is acting up. Nothing has changed in my house in the past 3 weeks besides getting a new computer. Since that time, my house has become a sort of dead zone for my IPhone 4s. Here is the computer I bought.

I upgraded the power supply and video card. I also disabled the built in wireless card and put back in my USB wifi adapter, which I used on my last computer and had no issues. My phone works like normal everywhere else. When I'm home texts says they failed to send, when It turns out they actually do sometimes. When people send me texts, It tells them it fails also. When I try to make a call, It says Call Failed. When I go outside, I get bombarded with whatever texts I missed but can also make calls.
I've called ATT, which is my provider. They've reset everything and ran out of ideas. I called Geek Squad at best buy. I exhausted their ideas. I'm hoping someone out there has a clue on what could have happened.

Nov 15, 2010My Vivaz no longer alerts me when I get a text, there is no sound or vibration, it is not on silent mode and I've checked in my message settings the volume and that a sound is supposed to play when a text arrives. The envelope that used to show at the top of the screen when I received a text no longer appears either. The only way to know if i've got a new message is to go into my inbox where it appears; the side of the phone will then flash but still no sound. I ran a software update, then a reset and software update, but neither have made any difference.

Oct 25, 2011I recently took out a contract on Vodaphone, but wanted to keep my old O2 number from my previous contract. My BBM was working fine before the number was transferred accross, but now if I send a message, a tick appears to say its been sent, but there is no 'D' to say delivered, and the recipient doesn't recieve it.
Are there any phone numbers or email addresses I could use to talk to someone about this? Or are these forums the only way to get support?

Jun 30, 2011I have had my bb curve for a few months now, no real problems. suddenly it refuses to grab net, any other servers, or send/receive any mms. tried the battery pull reboot several times, no change. signal showes 1xev. signal strength is fine. followed several other forms of advice given on other similar problems, they either dont apply or dont fix the problem. problem started two days ago.

May 19, 2012My BBM has stopped sending or recieving messages.Whenever I try to send a message, it makes the sending symbol that looks like ))) but then a big red cross like this X comes up. I've tried re-booting about 10 times, and also updating my version of BBM to the newest possible version, but nothing has worked. It's not a connection issue, because my internet, 3G, Facebook, Twitter, Texts and Emails are all working. I've tried connecting my phone to my wifi instead of the 3G I pay for, but with still no luck. Also, my data usage is fully topped up and nothing wrong with my service provider O2.

Mar 8, 2010I have a Curve 8900 running v4.6.1.231...I am on an Enterprise Data plan, with emails synched up to both my office outlook email, and my personal yahoo email. At around 11:30 yesterday, my yahoo email stopped sending/receiving/synching with my BB, but my office outlook email is working fine.
I tried to go into Email setup with the setup wizard, to see if maybe I had to delete and re-add my yahoo email account, but after about 60 seconds with a load message "connecting to email settings" I got a message that said "Your devide had a problem connecting to the server" with retry and cancel button - I retried with no avail.Not the most tech savvy person here, but was wondering if this is a problem on my end? Or something on the BB side?

Nov 24, 2015my phone has stopped receiving text messages until hours later. If im in the messaging app, i tap on a new text ill reply and it wont show that i replied. I then wont receive messages until hours later when I guess it finally has sent? Also, in my messaging its showing messages from years ago. I dont want my texts to save or to be backed up or restored.
