Xseries :: SIP Settings On Nokia X6?
Apr 5, 2010I just got an X6. I don't have experience with any other nokia smart phones.So what is the function of SIP settings under Settings->connectivity->admin settings? Is it supposed to allow you to make VOIP calls? I read in the forums that a lot other phones can be made doing so. If this is the case, how do I setup my profile? I keep on getting "registration fail"

Dec 2, 2010upgraded my X3-02 to firmware 5.60, but failed to backup before the update. The results, an empty fone with a new firmware, with everything else is now gone. The fone settings, certificates, apps, even OVI store now is not in the phone anymore.Trying hard to find all over the net to find solution for this. I thought maybe if i can at least get Ovi Store back, then i can install back all the missing apps. However its impossible to find the Ovi Store installer for X3-02 anywhere. Trying to install apps through web browser always give me certificate error. always.
I figured, maybe, just maybe, the best thing to overcome this is for someone to help me on the backup. Maybe other X3-02 user can help, if you dont mind, backup your data settings + applications into a file, and send it to me so i can restore that to my fone. dont mind any extra games@apps Some default apps (e.g: facebook) are not available to install from anywhere, isk. also i need back the missing certificates, and owh, OVI store!

Mar 12, 2012Today we started spring forward in the US. When I turned on my phone, it looked so different. My X2-01's home screen was changed, the internet was gone, my phone numbers on the phone were all gone. All the default themes and tones are gone. I checked my calendar, all my appointments were gone. Even the games that originally came with the phone, they were all gone. I tried to access the Internet via Menu, no luck.I was on the phone with T-mobile helpdesk almost an hour today, no luck. They e-mailed me the Internet settings etc and I did all step by step, no luck. It looks like the phone has crashed after daylight settings. I can still make phone calls and receive text messages, but it's pretty much what only I can do. Last night all I did was turn it off before I went to bed and turn it on in the morning.

Apr 27, 2010In the "message settings' option menu, "e-mail settings" isn't available. I have managed to set up several email accounts by simply going into the 'email" option in the "messaging" menu, but I can't set the phone to check for emails automatically or to notify me of new emails, etc, etc, in other words, I have no menu option, for adjusting the settings for emails. I am running the latest version of the software

Mar 13, 2010It is currently impossible to sync contacts, calendar etc with Ovi. The phone shows the error message "invalid host adress". When I do a ping from my computer it shows "ping: cannot resolve sync.ovi.com/: Unknown host".It's petty that so many services in Ovi remain unpredictable.

Nov 23, 2011On my 701, having 111.020.307 firmware, after updating maps from 3.06 to 3.08, i am still getting notification to update to a lower version , and wheneva i try to update it, its update application works but nothing works and when i relaunch my store app , the update notification is still there. Anyone can kindly help me with this? oh and my maps app works perfectly normal and flawlessly. or is this a bug that i cannot help fix it?
