My phone wont start up, I keep getting stuck in the home screen. Ive tried removing battery etc. done a software update but keep stuck at same point. (After entering acces codes etc.) Just have the homescreen and some widgets which stop loading, at this point I cant even turn the phone off or anything. What can I do?
View 1 Repliesi don't know why after one day of usage the main screen jams. When i sroll down (also if from bottom to top) it stops and i need to wait about 2-3 seconds until i can continue with scrolling. Seems like when the tiles need refresh or so.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAt first it was restarting 20+ times a day after continuous use, That i could just about deal with as i am due an upgrade after 2yrs. However, one time after i plugged it in to charge it would continuously reboot everytime it got past the startup screen, then it decided to stick on a plain white screen for a few hours. I let it run down on battery to see if this would help but when i went to use it again it started with the usual "Sony Ericsson"screen plus the coloured swishy display but then it just stays on a blank/black screen. It is backlit so it's not turned off. I would normally just let it be and wait for my new phone but it has all my contacts etc stored on the actual phone and not my sim.
View 9 Replies View RelatedEver since upgrading to 5.0.2 and later, when turning on my (now replaced) Z3 it would show the Sony logo, the encryption/lock animation, ask for my encryption pattern, get to the wavy boot animation screen then restart. After the restart it would go through the same process but after inputting my encryption pattern I'd come across the 'Android is upgrading/starting' screens. Meaning it would take around 10 minutes to just turn on my phone.
I thought it was just a problem that would be fixed with a reset. However, when my device was broken (insured) I was given a completely new one by my carrier which after a few days came across the exact same problem and has been doing it for over a month now. As far as I can tell it only happens after I turn on encryption but that might not be the cause at all.
When I went to bed last night my Z3 was working fine. When I woke up, any app I opened closed with the "___________ has stopped" message, so I decided to reset my phone. Now it's stuck in a loop where it will turn on until it gets to the loading page with the blue wave background before turning off and starting this again and again until I hit the little reset square by the microsd with a paperclip.
I've tried connecting it to PC companion and the Mac version (I have a mac at home but can access PCs.) Once it gets to the part where I have to hold the power button and down key while plugging it into the computer, it does nothing and I can't move forward.
I can't seem to put it into flash mode, and I tried installing the EMMA flasher program but it wouldn't recognize that my phone was connected. After more googling seems that maybe unfortunately my phone needs to be in flash mode for this to work.
I haven't modded my phone, haven't installed many apps, and I actually know nothing about phone dealing with/ programming/ booting/ computer language words so some things I am reading online definitely go over my head. I am willing to try though!

After a update my X10 mini pro doesn't boot anymore and now it only hans on the SE logo at the very beginning.I tried to use PC companion and SE update service to reinstall/update the firmware but in SE update service I get that I allready have the last version. and on PC companion I get a message that there is no software available for my phone.I even tried to get a own custom firmware to run on it with flashtools but i can't get the x10 mini pro's stock firmware its on xda-developers but its in a zip file while it has to be in a .ftf and i cant seem to get the zip file converted in to a ftf file. I think when i have done that it will work again... but i cant find any tutorial about converting to ftf in any kind of way

It vibrated and the backlight lit up as it usually does when the phone turns on, however, the Sony Ericsson logo does not appear and it stays frozen in this state. I have tried removing the battery for a few minutes but it doesn't change anything. I also tried connecting to PC Companion, which intermittently detects the phone, as if it was being continuously connected and disconnected. I cannot do an update or anything to it from the computer.

View 9 Replies View RelatedEarlier today after I woke up, I was just gonna check something on my phone, when I was met with several errors saying that this and that programmed had stopped working. I chose the option "ok" on all of them because the other option report would not really get me anywhere. The thing was these errors kept coming repeating themselves (same apps getting errors repeatedly).
So after 10 min of just pressing ok on these errors I decided to reboot my phone, but when I came to the startup it stops/freezes on the SONY EXPERIA display. I can't trun it off with the on/off button, so I searched everywhere on the internet about this issue but none of the classic hold volume down + volume up + on/off button to turn it off gets me past the freeze after it goes off.

Plugged my phone in and went to sleep woke up the next morning to a white screen, restarted (pulled battey) and the home screen won't come back. Nothing happens when I turn phone on, just get black screen. When I plug phone in to charge red light comes on as usual then black screen with charging battery (white battery with yellow lighting bolt) then with in 5 minutes screen changes to white battery with red "X" through it. I've tried leaving it plugged in for days to see if it was a problem with the charge. I've tried a new battery, I've tried putting tin foil between battery and phone.

When I tried to charge the phone the startup screen came up as normal but it froze when it got to a certain point, I took out the battery and replaced it after 30 seconds, the phone started to reboot and then froze at the same point.I have reinstalled the OS onto my device from Blackberry desktop and have tried this several times today but it is still freezing at the same point, after about 20-30 minutes of leaving the phone it eventually very slowly came on!t the moment my phone is completely useless to me as it has froze again.

The last time I charged my N97 it just charged continuously without stopping when the battery was full. I didnt think too much of it, but during the same day the phone froze on me. Upon rebooting it stuck on the Nokia start-up screen and just stayed like that, the phone even started to get warm. I have since tried several times to switch it on but it stays stuck on the Nokia start-up screen. Oddly enough, when I removed the SD card and switched it on it worked! I have now tried to switch it on several times with the SD card inserted, no luck, without the card, no problem at all! This is obviously not the solution to remove the SD card each time I need to switch my phone on. Could this be a software problem? Has anybody had the same issue?
