Jul 21, 2010I failed to transfer my contacts on my SIM when at the begiining of setting up the phone. I cannot find out how to import these contacts.

Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: PC Companion Startup Screen - Connect To Internet Option
Apr 3, 2012My previous sony ericsson phone had a PC companion startup screen which included the option 'Connect to Internet'. This new Xperio neo V, when you start PC companion does not offer this, only Support Zone, Contacts Setup, Media Go, Sync Zone and File Manager. What has happened to the 'Internet Connect' option? This was very useful for connecting a PC to the internet.

Mar 19, 2015In the storage section of settings on my Xperia Z2 there is a "transfer Data to sd card" option. it use to work just fine. Once the internal storage was awfully full and came a notification that said "75% full, transfer data to sd card" tried it like always but this time it fails to start. When I try to run it from inside the settings, also fails to start.

Besides I can copy sim contacts to phone if I want to.Neither option seems to be available.The option to use sim contacts seems to be forgotten. Why? Sep 4, 2012I would like to transfer my Contacts from my X8 to a PC and a Nokia phone. When I export my contacts list, it creates a VCF file containing (supposed to be) all my contacts but it only has 1 contact (the first in the list). I tried viewing this file using PC Companion and it was confirmed that it only contains 1 contact. I tried transfering (Copy/Paste) this to my PC and opened this in MS Outlook, only 1 contact was opened. I tried the 'Send All Contacts' via bluetooth and it also transfered 1 contact.

Nov 24, 2010Did two different bacups, and I am positive that I did backup of contacts. Also did a bacup of all contacts on my online account at [URL] Did an upgrade of android 1.6 -> 2.1.
I ran restore. Everythinge else is restored, just not one single Name or Number. No contacts. Tried both bacups several times, I get a confirmation that the restore is done. Still nothing.
Hooked it up to my PC, and performed a sync with my page on sonyericsson.com. Nothing. It's always a small disaster to loose all numbers and names. I still have them all, I just can't get my phone to give a ****, it seems.
( Also tried installing the new Backup & Restore (1. Nov), [URL], but it gives me the message "not installed" every time i try. Nothing more. I think maybe it's because I might allready have that program on my phone)

Jul 21, 2012I've bought a Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini Pro SK17, and have wasted a whole day, trying to transfer my contacts from my PC's address book. First, it asks to disconnect my old phone from my computer, then to reconnect. Finally it ends the operation saying "A memory card must be inserted in the phone". I changed the memory card to put a new 8GB card. But I'm fed up to see the same message again and again.

HTC One M8 :: Support For Call Transfer Option?
Feb 11, 2015I am thinking of getting a HTC One M8 phone, but first need to check that it supports Call Transfer as I need this option for work purposes. Here's the scenario:
- I get a call through from our business number which redirects to me
- I talk to the caller and they say they're looking for Bob
- I say I'll see if Bob is available and will transfer you over to him
- I follow the steps in the "Setting up a conference call" section of the documentation to put the caller on hold, call Bob and add him to the conference
- However I now want to drop off the call and let the original caller and Bob continue.
On the Samsung Galaxy S4/5 and Note 2/3/4 there is an option at this point to "Transfer Call", but I don't know if that option exists on the HTC One M8. The link says that I can tap a button "... to access options such as ending the call with a participant"
Xperia X10 :: It Goes Blank After Startup Screen
Mar 4, 2012At first it was restarting 20+ times a day after continuous use, That i could just about deal with as i am due an upgrade after 2yrs. However, one time after i plugged it in to charge it would continuously reboot everytime it got past the startup screen, then it decided to stick on a plain white screen for a few hours. I let it run down on battery to see if this would help but when i went to use it again it started with the usual "Sony Ericsson"screen plus the coloured swishy display but then it just stays on a blank/black screen. It is backlit so it's not turned off. I would normally just let it be and wait for my new phone but it has all my contacts etc stored on the actual phone and not my sim.

Dec 10, 2012Ever since upgrading to 5.0.2 and later, when turning on my (now replaced) Z3 it would show the Sony logo, the encryption/lock animation, ask for my encryption pattern, get to the wavy boot animation screen then restart. After the restart it would go through the same process but after inputting my encryption pattern I'd come across the 'Android is upgrading/starting' screens. Meaning it would take around 10 minutes to just turn on my phone.
I thought it was just a problem that would be fixed with a reset. However, when my device was broken (insured) I was given a completely new one by my carrier which after a few days came across the exact same problem and has been doing it for over a month now. As far as I can tell it only happens after I turn on encryption but that might not be the cause at all.
Xperia Z3 :: Phone Stuck In Startup Loop
Jul 3, 2010When I went to bed last night my Z3 was working fine. When I woke up, any app I opened closed with the "___________ has stopped" message, so I decided to reset my phone. Now it's stuck in a loop where it will turn on until it gets to the loading page with the blue wave background before turning off and starting this again and again until I hit the little reset square by the microsd with a paperclip.
I've tried connecting it to PC companion and the Mac version (I have a mac at home but can access PCs.) Once it gets to the part where I have to hold the power button and down key while plugging it into the computer, it does nothing and I can't move forward.
I can't seem to put it into flash mode, and I tried installing the EMMA flasher program but it wouldn't recognize that my phone was connected. After more googling seems that maybe unfortunately my phone needs to be in flash mode for this to work.
I haven't modded my phone, haven't installed many apps, and I actually know nothing about phone dealing with/ programming/ booting/ computer language words so some things I am reading online definitely go over my head. I am willing to try though!
My phone will still charge though!
