When I try to sync my facebook contacts with my iPhone contacts, even though the name/email address of contacts match, they do not sync with the facebook app.
Or is there a way to manually link contacts with facebook contacts?

I've done everything that I have read online, and everytime I go to the facebook app settings, it already shows that facebook contact is checked to not sync, yet i have about 500 extra contacts and pointless facebook emails in my phone that I don't want--nor do I want to spend 5 hours doing so to delete them.

I got an iPhone 4S the other day & at the Verizon store they were able to transfer all my contacts from my old phone (Droid Incredible), and on that phone with the names on my Contacts List, it would automatically give me the option to link that info with the person's Facebook profile, so that when I opened a contact I would see their profile picture, all their phone numbers, email address, etc. I was told that with my new iPhone would be able to do the same thing, that once I downloaded and installed the Facebook app, the first time I opened it and logged in I would be prompted as to whether or not I wanted to sync my contacts, but THIS DID NOT HAPPEN. So now my contacts list has several names listed 2-3 times, once I guess from my old phone, once from Gmail, and maybe once from Facebook? I've tried looking through all the settings, for 'Contacts,' 'Accounts,' even Facebook itself, and I haven't been able to find ANY place where I can merge or sync my contacts to get them how I want. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there not a way to look at my contacts list, see just one listing for each person, and have that listing include their Facebook profile picture, all their phone numbers, their email addresses, etc.?

I recently got a black berry storm 9530 and I'm trying to sync my facebook contacts to my phone and its not working. I went to verizon and they couldn't help me either. When I first set up the phone I set up a work related email (my facebook email is different) then I installed the facebook app and tried to sync my contacts. This failed it said it worked but there was no phone numbers or anything, then I added my facebook email and tried again. this still failed. I'm not sure what to do. the calander and birthday/ notifcations go through but i have no contacts. what should i do?

When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".

if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperiaâ„¢ with Facebook.

Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.

If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)

This worked fine on Z1 and in sync options under xperia with facebook there are two options calendar and contacts...
on Z3 there is only calendar sync no contacts.
There used to be the option of linking your contacts with facebook so pictures and statuses would appear under the contact. Now what seems after latest update 5.1.1 there is no iptikn to link them. So half of my contacts show all that, and the other half that i was in the process of soing before update i cant....
