Nov 18, 2010I recently upgraded to Android 2.1 and now I find that I cannot link my contacts to Facebook. The ones that I had linked prior to the upgrade are still there, but no options to link on existing or new contacts. The fact that the FB contact profile pics would be updated on my contact list was one of the reasons I bothered with the upgrade.

Jan 9, 2011I got a Wildfire phone yesterday, which is my first smart phone. I set up my Facebook and Twitter accounts and I'm using it with a sim card from my old phone, so imported the contacts from that.
The problem is when using the People app, I have multiple contacts for the same person. For example, I have 4 separate contacts for my sister - SIM contact, Facebook, Twitter and email. I have managed to link the Facebook, Twitter and email contacts for her, but I can't link her phone numbers to it. I have 3 phone numbers for her (home, work and mobile) on the SIM card - how do I link these so that when she calls me it shows her photo, status updates etc? When I try to link, it doesn't show up the SIM contacts so I can't add her phone numbers to the main contact page

Sep 12, 2011Under Froyo, I was able to link contact entries that were for the same person but were pulled from different sources and weren't automatically matched. After the Gingerbread update, I can no longer do this.
In one particular case, I have a contact that was pulled from Facebook, for who I now have another email address. I can't add that email address to this person's contact since it says that Facebook contacts aren't editable. So I created another entry for that person with the same name but the additional email address. I want to end up with one contact entry that aggregates both the facebook and additional contact info but I can't do that anymore.

Nov 24, 2011Love the phone - just got a really irritating problem. I've synced my phone with my gmail account - the My Contacts list has my key contact email addresses. Then I have multiple groups within gmail account relating to work emails etc, nearly 500 odd.
On the phone, when I click my 'Contacts' button, initially it showed all my phone number contacts, as well all google email contacts mixed with them. I corrected this by going to 'display options' to select 'display only contacts with phone numbers', so that I didn't have to trawl through random email addresses mixed with my proper phone contacts. Great, sorted.
But, when I go to compose a text message - if it is to one or two specific contacts it is fine...I just type their name and it comes up. If I want to scroll through all my phone contacts to send the same message to multiple contacts, big problem - I press that envelope button in the top right corner next to 'enter recipient', and it takes me to the Contacts list, but here it still shows ALL 600 odd contacts with phone contacts still mixed with google email contacts, which is impossible to scroll through and select multiple people to send a text message to....Does anyone know how to sort this out?!??!

I couldn't find an option to limit the display to the phone storage only. So i see duplicates. This is anoying. Even my 6 year old 3110 classic can do this! Nokia - where have you hidden this option?
