How To Link And Sync Contacts On IPhone With ICloud Account
Jun 30, 2014I cannot figure out how to link and sync my contacts on my iPhone with my iCloud account. I have followed the steps, and done the merge contacts and back up and store. Nothing shows up on my computer in my contacts app on iCloud it only has apple as a contact but none of my name or numbers in my phone.

Mar 30, 2012I turned on the "contacts" feature in the iCloud menu in settings on my iPhone4. I ended up with a lot useless email addresses from my yahoo contact list that was cluttering up my phone contacts (actual phone numbers.) I thought I could undo this by turning off the contacts feature in iCloud. Instead, it wiped ALL of my phone number information in contacts, and left me with just the list of my email addresses, which I don't need. I am desperate to recover all those phone numbers!

Mar 11, 2010I have a Blackberry Curve 8530 with 5.0.xx installed. I just set up my IMAP Gmail account on my BB and have noticed a big problem when receiving messages. Basically I get SOME of my mail in my email folder and SOME of it in my MESSAGES folder - just to make this clear both folders receive different messages that should be routing to my email folder. I tried turning off receiving my emails in my MESSAGES folder - but then I'll get a flag stating there is an unread message in my EMAIL folder - but NOTHING'S THERE. So I then go back in to Messages>options>Email settings and click the box to have Messages receive my emails too and VOILA - there's the hidden email!
So to sum this up - I can't get all my emails unless I have Messages set to receive my email as well because it receives some and my email folder receives some when my email folder should be receiving ALL of them.
I found some help in the Blackberry Answers but it describes going into menus that I don't have to reroute the messages to my inbox. So what do I do? Is this common? Is something corrupt? I'd like just to receive ALL my emails in my EMAIL folder.

Jan 9, 2011I got a Wildfire phone yesterday, which is my first smart phone. I set up my Facebook and Twitter accounts and I'm using it with a sim card from my old phone, so imported the contacts from that.
The problem is when using the People app, I have multiple contacts for the same person. For example, I have 4 separate contacts for my sister - SIM contact, Facebook, Twitter and email. I have managed to link the Facebook, Twitter and email contacts for her, but I can't link her phone numbers to it. I have 3 phone numbers for her (home, work and mobile) on the SIM card - how do I link these so that when she calls me it shows her photo, status updates etc? When I try to link, it doesn't show up the SIM contacts so I can't add her phone numbers to the main contact page

Sep 12, 2011Under Froyo, I was able to link contact entries that were for the same person but were pulled from different sources and weren't automatically matched. After the Gingerbread update, I can no longer do this.
In one particular case, I have a contact that was pulled from Facebook, for who I now have another email address. I can't add that email address to this person's contact since it says that Facebook contacts aren't editable. So I created another entry for that person with the same name but the additional email address. I want to end up with one contact entry that aggregates both the facebook and additional contact info but I can't do that anymore.

Apr 15, 2012I purchased a new iPhone 3GS and started using it. I set up iCloud backup, and chose to save all my contacts etc to iCloud.The device was defective, so I had to exchange it. When setting up the new device, it doesn't seem to see the backup I made. It makes me setup a new device. After I setup the new device when I go to iCloud settings, I can see the backup I made earlier, but there is no way to restore it. What should I do? There is no apple store in my country.When I erase the phone and try to set it up it doesn't "see" the backup, and makes me setup a new phone.After setting up the phone it can see the backup (In iCloud settings I can see it), but there is no restore option.When I log into [URL], I can see all the contacts, so it has indeed been backed up. I just don't know how to get it on the phone.
