There used to be the option of linking your contacts with facebook so pictures and statuses would appear under the contact. Now what seems after latest update 5.1.1 there is no iptikn to link them. So half of my contacts show all that, and the other half that i was in the process of soing before update i cant....
I recently upgraded to Android 2.1 and now I find that I cannot link my contacts to Facebook. The ones that I had linked prior to the upgrade are still there, but no options to link on existing or new contacts. The fact that the FB contact profile pics would be updated on my contact list was one of the reasons I bothered with the upgrade.
I can't link all my face book profile pictures to my contacts on my 9900.Only the contacts , that own a black berry can be seen. I have Blackberry services activated, could it be conflicting with the settings
On my old HTC Desire HD, the phone found and joined/linked/merged contacts belonging to the same person. On the S5, this seems to be a manual process (e.g. Contacts > Menu > Link Contacts). Note: I have no local contacts, only contacts from Facebook, Linkedin, Google, Outlook.com, work email, etc.
I've done everything that I have read online, and everytime I go to the facebook app settings, it already shows that facebook contact is checked to not sync, yet i have about 500 extra contacts and pointless facebook emails in my phone that I don't want--nor do I want to spend 5 hours doing so to delete them.
Got a problem with my Facebook Contacts not being displayed in my contacts list on my S5. Tried just about everything possible from uninstalling Facebook to a factory reset of the phone. Have checked all the account settings and everything appears fine.
So i had this problem recently where I couldn't open link from facebook, means that whenever I would try to open one it would just close it self and come back to my news feed, so i searched and found that i should enable the "open link through external browser" via app setting, but whenever i click on app setting, it loads a bit and then crash....
I have the S6 Edge and i was always able to sync Facebook contacts into my address book - but now i have noticed that i can't find a way to do it anymore - i don't see such setting in the Facebook app. I Want to use Facebook pictures for my contacts.
For some reason all of a sudden my Facebook contacts are not in my contact list and there is no option to link... Facebook is in the list to show contacts but NOTHING!
How does one remove a facebook account (or any other social network account) from the motoblur account. Such accounts do not appear as seperate items in 'settings' > 'accounts' and opening the motoblur account (on the phone) merely shows the linked email address and password (unlike all other accounts it cannot be edited in any way).
is there a way to sync all my contacts with facebook and use their images on the contact. I've tried going into accounts and sync with facebook but that just brings all my fb friends into my contacts list. i do not want this.I just want my current contacts to be linked to fb and not export my entire fb list onto my phone.
I want to sync my contacts photos with Facebook. In the past I used HaxSync but it's not compatible with Android Lollipop 5.1.1 . Is there other apps or a way to use Facebook contacts picture for my contacts?
A week ago all of a sudden i cant seem to sync my fb to my s6 edge contacts, when i checked the fb app settings, if you keep scrolling down the facebook contacts sync is missing from the app. I'm using an s6 as well and its there and everything is working
On my HTC one m7, desire and hero before it, there was a way that I could auto accept all the facebook link suggestions. I cannot seem to do this with the M9 and have to link them manually (even though the software has found the link). Can I force an auto accept for all suggested links?
I got a Wildfire phone yesterday, which is my first smart phone. I set up my Facebook and Twitter accounts and I'm using it with a sim card from my old phone, so imported the contacts from that.
The problem is when using the People app, I have multiple contacts for the same person. For example, I have 4 separate contacts for my sister - SIM contact, Facebook, Twitter and email. I have managed to link the Facebook, Twitter and email contacts for her, but I can't link her phone numbers to it. I have 3 phone numbers for her (home, work and mobile) on the SIM card - how do I link these so that when she calls me it shows her photo, status updates etc? When I try to link, it doesn't show up the SIM contacts so I can't add her phone numbers to the main contact page
No option to link the "Myself" contact with other contact(s) in the popup menu. It seems that this is impossible at all now. This option was available in the phonebook in Gingerbread.
Under Froyo, I was able to link contact entries that were for the same person but were pulled from different sources and weren't automatically matched. After the Gingerbread update, I can no longer do this.
In one particular case, I have a contact that was pulled from Facebook, for who I now have another email address. I can't add that email address to this person's contact since it says that Facebook contacts aren't editable. So I created another entry for that person with the same name but the additional email address. I want to end up with one contact entry that aggregates both the facebook and additional contact info but I can't do that anymore.
I guess I am talking about gingerbread, though I don't know, but I had a major software update for my Droid 2 Global last week and am still figuring out the differences. Although initially I thought it was good, here are some annoying ones: While entering info in different apps (texting, email, color notes) after typing only a bit, it stops accepting anymore keystrokes and says has separated from the app.No longer able to link or unlink contacts.Unfortunately, I am still discovering contacts that are linked. In case it matters, Verizon is my carrier.I wasted much time trying to send an email to Verizon support and to post on Verizon forum.
I cannot figure out how to link and sync my contacts on my iPhone with my iCloud account. I have followed the steps, and done the merge contacts and back up and store. Nothing shows up on my computer in my contacts app on iCloud it only has apple as a contact but none of my name or numbers in my phone.
