I had to get a replacement HTC one and for whatever reason, a lot of my contacts are not syncing to my Facebook pictures.
I've noticed that most of them have a little icon beside it, what it means
I have checked my Facebook settings and resynced, I have tried a few things with no luck.
I used to have the contact pictures in my phonebook as the pictures that my friends use as their facebook profile picture. This is not now happening and I can't re-set it. I did remove my facebook account briefly from my phone, as I'm experiencing trouble using fb on my phone.
I'm sure there must be a simple way of putting the contact pictures back, but I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work
Recently I have noticed that my facebook contact pictures o my phone (ray) has not been updating. Thought it was my phone so I have removed facebook and facebook inside xperia from accounts and sync and even clear the data from facebook in appications.
Readding the accounts, facebook is syncing up but I do not get any pictures, the photos/interest info is there when you view my contact but the picture is not there.
Is anyone having the same issue, there a bug in the recent update?
I have had my Xperia mini now since sept but i have noticed recently that when one of my friends/contacts changes their profile picture on facebook it does not change on my phone! i have tried syncronising it but it still not changed.

I had an OG Droid and I loved the fact that everyone's pictures were just brought in. I have signed into the same account on Motorola's Facebook app as well as the Facebook for Android.

When I first set up the phone I set up a work related email (my facebook email is different) then I installed the facebook app and tried to sync my contacts. This failed it said it worked but there was no phone numbers or anything, then I added my facebook email and tried again. this still failed. I'm not sure what to do. the calander and birthday/ notifcations go through but i have no contacts. what should i do?

When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".

if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperiaâ„¢ with Facebook.

Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.

If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
I have the S6 Edge and i was always able to sync Facebook contacts into my address book - but now i have noticed that i can't find a way to do it anymore - i don't see such setting in the Facebook app. I Want to use Facebook pictures for my contacts.

View 11 Replies View RelatedI recently did a factory reset on my device and now when I log into facebook thru the account settings I am able to log in but my contacts don't show in my contact lists anymore and when I go into social networks I don't have any feed showing up like I did prior to the reset. I can post a status update with no problems. I logged into facebook and checked settings and still have droid in my allow applications to access my info. Is anybody else having this issue after a master reset? Is this issue maybe on facebooks side? Like I stated I've done many master resets on my droid x and droid x2 and never had the issue syncing fb back up.

That is not the case with my Droid 3.
1) I've added a Facebook Account
2) There was no pre-installed facebook app so I downloaded and installed the Facebook App from the Market.
No pictures in my contacts although my facebook contacts did appear (in text form). I did wait a day to see if they'd come down. Next, I removed the app and the account. This time around I switched the order...
1) I installed the Facebook app from the market
2) I went to add and account. There was a small facebook icon and a large one. The large one looked "new" so I tapped it. The screen when blank for a second and then back to the account icons.
3) I chose the smaller facebook icon and was prompted for my login.
Facebook is listed as an account, but still no pictures in my contacts.
I was cleaning out my contacts list, and for some reason all of my contacts got wiped. After I put them all back in, their profile pictures and information from Facebook was not being pulled down. All authorizations and permissions are set for this to be ok. Why this isn't working?Â

View 9 Replies View RelatedSo I've had this phone for about 5,6 months with different problems over the course of my time with the phone.Was wondering if anyone has had the same problems and if there are any solutions. So first, sometimes my phone will randomly delete contacts from my phone and place them in the "hidden" folder. I haven't hidden them, but I've gotten text from people and be unsure who it is,but then find out it is someone that I know and who has been in my phone.Also, since my contacts are synced with facebook,it will randomly delete the FB picture to my contact so instead of it showing their default picture on facebook in my contacts, it just shows the blank face. In the past it has deleted the picture and will eventually come back after a coule of days or weeks but currently it has deleted multiple of my contacts pictures and has yet to come back. I dont know if I am accidentally hitting something or if there is a way to prevent this but it is aggravating. Also, sometimes if I go to send a text message, say for instance to Sally Sue,I'll click Sally Sue, send the text but then in my messaging folder it does not show the name "Sally Sue" nor does it show their picture, but just the phone number alone as if I texted someone who was not inputed in my contact list.It eventually goes back to showing the name but it still annoying nonetheless.The last issue is with the gps sattelite that will not shut off and for whatever reason prevents me to use facebook on my phone.I've read that this has been an issue with others in the past and tried some of the suggestions people offered.I have uninstalled FB, reinstalled in, callibrated my phone, taken out the battery, turn on/off, etc and nothing works.Under settings in the securty tab, it is always checked next to GPS Satellites on. I will uncheck it, but it never stays that way, it will always go back to being checked and I can never use my FB app as it will open for like 2 seconds then cut out.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI was uploading pictures to facebook using the facebook app, and my photos froze, so I didn't know how to cancel them so I turned off my phone. After that I turned it back on and went to upload the pictures again and I seen Iron Man 2 pictures there, so I went to my galley to check it out and they were there. Five pictures I think, I can't remember I deleted them, they were pretty small. Anyone else have this or an idea of what happened? They weren't on there before I turned my phone off?

But then when I updated my phone to ICS, I realized that:Contact pictures are no longer updating.It cannot detect facebook profiles of my new contacts.And when it does detect a facebook profile of one of my new contacts, it does not show any contact picture whatsoever.Statuses were also not syncing (not that they matter)I even resetted my phone into its factory settings and formatted my SD card. View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason I can't find a way to sync Facebook Calender with S Planner. I tried the following with no success:
1) Go to S Planner > Manage Calenders > Add Account. Facebook is not there.
2) Go to Facebook app > Settings > App Settings > Sync Contacts > Sync with existing contacts. All it does is syncing Facebook contacts with the phone's contacts.
That's pretty frustrating as it was so easy to do with my HTC One M8.
Everytime I try to sync facebook on my Galaxy S5 I get the single sign on (SSO) error and it won't complete the sync....
