For some reason I can't find a way to sync Facebook Calender with S Planner. I tried the following with no success:
1) Go to S Planner > Manage Calenders > Add Account. Facebook is not there.
2) Go to Facebook app > Settings > App Settings > Sync Contacts > Sync with existing contacts. All it does is syncing Facebook contacts with the phone's contacts.
That's pretty frustrating as it was so easy to do with my HTC One M8.
I've tried all sorts of fixes, but my S5 Google Calendar syncs with S Planner but not my desktop version of Google Calendar.

I'm familiar with this very useful app after having the Galaxy S4, for about a year.
My "only" gripe is that I can't find out how to set it to display in "Analogue" format, so that I can read it easily.
On the S4 it was it was just a case of tapping the Left soft key next to the Home button, and selecting "settings" then "view styles" then "week view" and choosing "Analogue" But when I try the same thing on the S5... the app just turns even smaller.... I really don't want to send it back for this.
I have the S6 Edge and i was always able to sync Facebook contacts into my address book - but now i have noticed that i can't find a way to do it anymore - i don't see such setting in the Facebook app. I Want to use Facebook pictures for my contacts.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my s5 in July, VZW update installed a couple weeks ago. I'm really not sure if my problem started before or after the update, since I just noticed it.
When my calendar syncs, all calendar info entered via PC comes into my phone. NONE of the events that I entered on my phone are shared back to my PC, or to my husband's phone. I tried downloading google calendar instead of stock calendar, but same problem exists.
I have checked settings IN the calendar app, tried rebooting the phone, verified sync settings via SETTINGS> ACCOUNTS> GOOGLE, tried removing and then adding my google account. Is there some hidden privacy button that I may have accidentally clicked?
This problem occurs regardless of which calendar app I'm using.
I want to sync my husband's google calendar to mine on my S6. If I add his google account under the add account it adds his whole google account, all his gmail and every hangout notification also pings on my phone. Is there a way to sync only the calendars? I've tried going into the settings for the google account on my phone and there is no sync toggle for hangouts

It worked when I first installed it months ago. I just signed on and noticed that nothing but birthdays are on the desktop site but everything that I've entered into the Samsung mobile app IS on the Google calendar app on my S5. I've tried syncing everything through both mobile apps and the desktop, as well as followed the instructions through Google's calendar desktop site.

View 14 Replies View RelatedKies 3 always crashes with an "Unknown Error" when trying to sync my Outlook 2007 calendar. Contacts and Tasks sync okay.
I've literally spent hours on the phone with Samsung (lack of) technical support with no resolution. They are in fact blaming Outlook claiming that this "Unknown Error" is an Outlook error and not a Kies 3 error (I doubt that). Their other suggestion is a factory reset on the phone which I don't want to do or to try another PC.
Using Windows 7 Pro, latest updates to Kies 3 and latest firmware updated today on the phone.
My new iPhone 6 was syncing with the calendar on my MacBook Pro but just stopped. iCloud is enabled on both devices.

Am facing a peculiar problem with my Blackberry Calendars.A brief background of the situation : I have 3 email ids synced to my Blackberry Bold 9000 (OS 5.0.0.681). However, none of the emails have any calendars associated with them. I sync my Address Book & Calendar entries through Outlook 2010. At this stage, there are 197 entries in the Calendar, all marked in Blue. Default Services does not show an CICAL option. Neither is there any CICAL in the Service Book.When I install the Facebook app (1.8 or above), all calendar entries get marked in Red and named as Facebook. Default Services starts showing a CICAL option with only one entry "Facebook". A Facebook CICAL is added to the Service Book. There is no option or entry for any other Calendar.
The problem is that all the entries under Facebook are the same 197 as the Outlook entries. No entries from my Facebook account are added to the device. So it is as if the Outlook Calendar has been renamed as Facebook Calendar without any Facebook entries being added to the database. The entries are not duplicated under Facebook. Just that original Outlook Calendar has now become the Facebook Calendar.I would like to have both these Calendar entries (Outlook & Facebook) on the device as many of my business associates / clients etc are on my Facebook profile and i would like some reminder of their bdays etc too.Things that I have tried so far to rectify this are as follows. Each process has been repeated multiple times with no change in results:
1) Re-set up the Facebook Calendar Entries association in the Facebook App > Options
2) Deleted Facebook CICAL from Service Book and then re-associated the App as above
3) Re-installed the Facebook app after deleting the Facebook CICAL.
I have facebook App installed on my lumia 1320, but my lumia 1320's calendar is not synchronized with facebook calendar. Hence I am not able to see Facebook calender's birthday on my lumia calendar.

View 8 Replies View RelatedI logged into another gmail account on my phone, I did without any problem, viewed/deleted some emails, and logged off. I then re-logged into my higher usage email (the main one I use on everything and the phone is registered with). I had the "Smooth Calender" app isntalled, but uninstalled that because the update happened around the email checking and it started acting goofy when I updated anyway.After I did that, I went to check my calender on my phone to schedule appointments and noticed that my calender is almost completely empty. I checked my calender online under the account email that I currently have it synced to and it is full like I have it. Now the situation is when I enter a calender event online it WILL NOT sync to my phone, nor has any of the repeat events synced.
When I enter an event in my phone, it syncs to the online calender AND to the phone with reminders and such if I set it up that way.I cleared the gmail cache on the phone (but did NOT clear data, didn't know if that is advisable), I checked to make sure the correct calenders are checked to sync. I also went to Settings > Account > 'Account in question' and made sure it was selected.I DO NOT see an auto sync feature anywhere on the phone, and I can't remember having checked it before and didn't have a problem with anything until I did the logging into and back out of my emails.What can I do, or need to do, to fix this? My calender is very important to me as I always have my phone on me and don't always have a paper calender on me.

When I first set up the phone I set up a work related email (my facebook email is different) then I installed the facebook app and tried to sync my contacts. This failed it said it worked but there was no phone numbers or anything, then I added my facebook email and tried again. this still failed. I'm not sure what to do. the calander and birthday/ notifcations go through but i have no contacts. what should i do?

I have checked my Facebook settings and resynced, I have tried a few things with no luck.
I have a Xperia Z3 and I used to have facebook synced with contacts so I had facebook profile pics on most my contacts. all in all the phonebook looked nice with a pic against a number and a name.

When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".

if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperiaâ„¢ with Facebook.

Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.

If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
My Xperia Ray never showed the contacts image, mobile no. and status under Contacts after sync is made. I only show their full name and relationship status and nothing else. I have read some threads about uninstalling the app but it never worked.
