I have a Xperia Z3 and I used to have facebook synced with contacts so I had facebook profile pics on most my contacts. all in all the phonebook looked nice with a pic against a number and a name.
But recently, I've noticed that all these pics have gone missing.
When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".
if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperia™ with Facebook.
Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.
If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
I used to have the contact pictures in my phonebook as the pictures that my friends use as their facebook profile picture. This is not now happening and I can't re-set it. I did remove my facebook account briefly from my phone, as I'm experiencing trouble using fb on my phone.
I'm sure there must be a simple way of putting the contact pictures back, but I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work
I recently got a black berry storm 9530 and I'm trying to sync my facebook contacts to my phone and its not working. I went to verizon and they couldn't help me either. When I first set up the phone I set up a work related email (my facebook email is different) then I installed the facebook app and tried to sync my contacts. This failed it said it worked but there was no phone numbers or anything, then I added my facebook email and tried again. this still failed. I'm not sure what to do. the calander and birthday/ notifcations go through but i have no contacts. what should i do?
I have the S6 Edge and i was always able to sync Facebook contacts into my address book - but now i have noticed that i can't find a way to do it anymore - i don't see such setting in the Facebook app. I Want to use Facebook pictures for my contacts.
Suddenly over night, my facebook account stopped syncing with my phone contacts so that I don't have people linked with their facebooks and their pictures. I tried logging out of both the official Facebook for Android app and the Facebook "app" under My Accounts.
I recently did a factory reset on my device and now when I log into facebook thru the account settings I am able to log in but my contacts don't show in my contact lists anymore and when I go into social networks I don't have any feed showing up like I did prior to the reset. I can post a status update with no problems. I logged into facebook and checked settings and still have droid in my allow applications to access my info. Is anybody else having this issue after a master reset? Is this issue maybe on facebooks side? Like I stated I've done many master resets on my droid x and droid x2 and never had the issue syncing fb back up.
I synced up my Facebook contacts only to find that I cannot call any of them. Three digits are added before the number when you make a call ("001" the international dialing code for the U.S.) and because of this, the call does not go through. A similar problem occurs when you try to text message these contacts as well.
When my phone was still in gingerbread, it functioned really well, including Facebook. But then when I updated my phone to ICS, I realized that:Contact pictures are no longer updating.It cannot detect facebook profiles of my new contacts.And when it does detect a facebook profile of one of my new contacts, it does not show any contact picture whatsoever.Statuses were also not syncing (not that they matter)I even resetted my phone into its factory settings and formatted my SD card. I cleared the data of Facebook as well. What should I do?
My Xperia Ray never showed the contacts image, mobile no. and status under Contacts after sync is made. I only show their full name and relationship status and nothing else. I have read some threads about uninstalling the app but it never worked.
Recently I have noticed that my facebook contact pictures o my phone (ray) has not been updating. Thought it was my phone so I have removed facebook and facebook inside xperia from accounts and sync and even clear the data from facebook in appications.
Readding the accounts, facebook is syncing up but I do not get any pictures, the photos/interest info is there when you view my contact but the picture is not there.
Is anyone having the same issue, there a bug in the recent update?
I have had my Xperia mini now since sept but i have noticed recently that when one of my friends/contacts changes their profile picture on facebook it does not change on my phone! i have tried syncronising it but it still not changed.
When i synced contacts, the facebook contacts are not coming as phone contacts. So i cant use these contacts in many apps since they are not phone contacts. How to copy all contacts to phone contacts?
hi ive just got x 10 pro and lost all my contacts which were saved on other phone but screen is broken so i wanna try get as many as i can from facebook and pictures especially otherwise ill have to go round all me friends and taKE THERE PHOTO
I have added my facebook accounts and made sure the filters are correctly set, I have synced the facebook account several times manually, but no profile pictures nor any facebook related data is shown in the contacts.
Very recently I cleared all my contacts, then sync my contacts with my gmail account. The problem is that it is adding on to my internal memory, why is this happening when I have sync my contacts with gmail. I do not have any contact on my phone. If I can find a solution for this, it will save 7.5mb of my space, where in I can accommodate something useful.
I recently upgraded to Android 2.1 and now I find that I cannot link my contacts to Facebook. The ones that I had linked prior to the upgrade are still there, but no options to link on existing or new contacts. The fact that the FB contact profile pics would be updated on my contact list was one of the reasons I bothered with the upgrade.
I just bought a new Xperia Play (C Spire) and tried to add my facebook account to sync contact pictures.It goes back to the list of accounts when you attempt to add a facebook account.
I just recently got my xperia x10 and had to almost immediately upgrade to the 2.1 system. I am noticing a few things that I'm not fussy about from the 1.6 system but the thing that is bugging me the most is that I cannot (figure out how to) link contacts in my phonebook to their facebook and twitter accounts. In 1.6, when you edited a contact it gave you the option to click LINK. I cannot find any of this on the new system. As well, for contacts that I had linked before, their facebook profile pic (current from the time when i linked them before upgrading to 2.1) shows up on their contact information (i usually only link facebook, as i dont use twitter as much) and their profile is linked. However when i go into EDIT, it says FACEBOOK, Timescape and a big exclamation mark that has a message beside it saying : Timescape Plug-In Manager contact information is not editable on this device.
i SHOULD be able to edit and link all my contacts. that was the whole purpose of the xperia having this timescape program.

how to sync facebook pics with contacts, even though your contacts have nicknames? I have tried the facebook app "sony ericsson contacts" and it doesnt work. Tried to merge contacts manually on the phone but then my contacts shows their facebooknames and not their nicknames.
After upgrading to 2.3.3, the system automatically connect both contacts and facebook. However, some use different names in both side, then the system cannot connect them.I cannot find a why to do it manually.
My Facebook or Twitter is no longer syncing as of a few days ago. The Motorola Widgets are not showing any updates on my Social Networks either, any ideas as to why??
I recently had to get a replacement for my Droid 3. Did the same exact thing with my new phone that I did with my old, but now facebook is not syncing with my phone contacts. I tried uninstalling the app and even deleted it from the accounts screen and tried to re-set it, but nothing.
