Aug 27, 2010Tried backing up my contacts etc., to the website but it only transferred the bookmarks. I have tried several times but have failed to back it up.

Jan 8, 2011I have just spent ages typing all my contacts on the Sony Ericsson website. I then connected my phone and did the sync. All appeared to go well... appeared. The problem is is that all contact names were transferred, but very little of the actual contact details. Only one phone number or an email address, but never a street address, birthday etc etc. I don't have an sd card. Could that be it? Just the most basic information has been transferred. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong/what step I've missed.

Nov 14, 2011Anyone having issues syncing their device with the website. I went for a run yesterday, shows up on the device says it is synced and it is still not available on the website. This is very frustrating. I attempted wireless and wired sync and both say they have completed successfully. The weird thing is when you go to the music tab it actually uploaded correctly with songs/distance but the run doesnt exist.

Jan 11, 2015I have a Xperia Z3 and I used to have facebook synced with contacts so I had facebook profile pics on most my contacts. all in all the phonebook looked nice with a pic against a number and a name.
But recently, I've noticed that all these pics have gone missing.
When i go to Contacts> Settings>Accounts & Sync
I cant see Facebook listed under the linked Accounts and when I Click on + Add Account i can see the Facebook app but if i tap on it to add it shows a message "Only on Facebook account is supported".
if I come out of Contacts and from main screen go to, Settings>Accounts I can see 2 Facebook accounts, Facebook and also Xperia™ with Facebook.
Now if I tap on Facebook it will take me to another page that shows me my facebook email address against facebook logo but nothing (no options) underneath.if i tap on the three vertical dts on top right corner the only options it gives me are Sync now and Remove account. I've pressed Sync now a number of times it doesnt bring facebook contacts to Contacts.
If I tap on Xperia™ with Facebook, shows me last Synced date on a new page and also a tab called Application control settings. now If i tap this it takes me to Xperia™ with Facebook Account Management. underneath it says Apps connected to Facebook account. and it only shows Calender (this has a enable/disable switch next to it)
I've looked everywhere I know but i cant get the phone to sync facebook with Contacts...
Nokia :: E52 / Backing Up Contacts
Jul 21, 2010I'm relatively new to Nokia having just gotten an e52 a few days ago and I find it a bit confusing to use at times but I'm sure it just takes some getting used to.Anyhow the first thing I wanted to do was to back up my contacts to my PC without having to use PC suite. Is this possible to do, can anyone shed some light on this?I'm also confused with the light sensor.To me it just seems like an adjustment for the display brightness, but I can't be sure.Any help would be much appreciated.

Jan 29, 2012I used to have the contact pictures in my phonebook as the pictures that my friends use as their facebook profile picture. This is not now happening and I can't re-set it. I did remove my facebook account briefly from my phone, as I'm experiencing trouble using fb on my phone.
I'm sure there must be a simple way of putting the contact pictures back, but I've tried everything I can think of and nothing seems to work

Aug 17, 2010Very recently I cleared all my contacts, then sync my contacts with my gmail account. The problem is that it is adding on to my internal memory, why is this happening when I have sync my contacts with gmail. I do not have any contact on my phone. If I can find a solution for this, it will save 7.5mb of my space, where in I can accommodate something useful.

May 25, 2015I am doing a factory reset on DH's phone since Lolliflop wormed it's way into his life and he's not a happy camper. Using Verizon Cloud, his messages and call history have successfully been backed up but he gets a notification that cloud contacts backup has failed. And in the Cloud app it's self, there is always a "update pending" next to his 121 contacts. If I force it to back up, it backs up messages and call history but won't back up contacts. What to do about this?

I have set up an account on the SE website and set the same username and password in the sony ericsson synch settings in the phone.The server address for synch in the phone is [url]... this cannot be changed by the keyboard.when I press sync i get the notification "sony ericsson could not synchronise" Synchronisation seems to work ok with Gmail and facebook, although contact sync with gmail is not nuch use as it only seems to work from pc to phone
Xperia Mini/pro :: Backing Up Data Before Updating Software?
Sep 8, 2011As soon as I bought my mini-pro I got messages saying that the software needed updating (why, its a brand new phone?) I have tried updating via the PC Compnanion but that is useless and and I get absolutely nowhere. When I queried this with Sony they said its a common problem ( ! ) and I should update the software online. They did warn that this might cause loss of data and so I should back-up the data on the phone first. When I asked them how I do this no-one bothered to reply. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to do this as Sony aren't interested.

Feb 26, 2011I have been trying to synchronise my Xperia X8 to the Sony Ericsson website. It worked the first time when I set up the sync, and managed to copy over my calendar. However, my contacts weren't backed up on the website, so I tried again to synchronise my phone via the sync 'app' on my phone (as before) to copy them over, too, but a message kept popping up in the status bar of my phone saying 'No network access. Please try again later.' My network coverage is '3 out of 4 bars', according to my phone, so it should be quite strong. I have been trying repeatedly to sync over at least 3 hours, but with no success, and the same message keeps popping up, regardless of the fact that my phone shows a good network coverage.
