Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Backing Up Playlists In MediaGo
May 3, 2012
I want to format my laptop.I synced mediago to a songs folder. Its a seperate one.I created a playlist using those songs only.So where can I find my playlist in my laptop so that i can save it and restore it after my format.
The playlists created on my sk17i are not showing up in media go, so there is no chance of syncing this playlists.
I created .m3u playlist on computer and transferred it to the mobile. Songs in the playlist is working fine but if add or remove any songs to this playlist... the changes will be gone when the music player is restarted..
Has anyone been successful syncing their playlists created on their phone to their windows PC? I use WMP 12 on my Win 7 PC. If I connect my Xperia to my PC, I can sync a playlist from WMP to the phone. But, I cannot go in reverse. If I make changes to a playlist on my phone, or create a new playlist on my phone, I can't sync that to WMP. I haven't been able to find a way to convert *.PLA files to *.WPL files in my searches. I tried using MediaGo from Sony, but I couldn't find a place where I could export my playlist to another format.
I also tried using Windows Explorer to directly copy the playlist from my device to my PC. The resulting *.PLA file is empty on the PC. When I click Properties for the Playlist in my SD card, I can see all the songs, but they disappear once transferred.
im new here but i've had quite a few SE to my name, mainly Walkman Phones. Now i got my W995 just yesterday and been trying to use the useless MediaGo to transfer music to my phone.Everything works fine until i try to send every song i have on my pc, thats when MediaGo craps itself and starts adding and removing songs or at least it seems. So im wondering if theres any other program i can use for it apart from media manager. Also when i rip my cd's into MediaGo and then to the phone it doesnt work, when i try to play them it just says failed.Been getting quite annoyed at it
I have created some playlists in Media Go and transfered them to the phone with Media Go.All files have been transferred and I can also see the *.m3u in the music folder on the SD card. What must I do to find the playlists in the music player ? All music files are available as supposed.
I have recently cracked the screen on my z3 and I am not able to use the phone at All. It still has power and everything. I haven't backed up at all and because I cannot use the actually device I can't do it now. Is there anyway I can do it by plugging the phone into a computer??
According to the SE PC Companion, you NEED to have Microsoft Outlook on your PC to be able to back up phone numbers.... my PC has not got this program and i dont wish you purchase the programe either, is there any other "easier" way to back up my phone numbers instead of the phones "back up and restore" feature?? Samsung PC Suite used to let you transfer all your numbers to it's PC suite with no problems...why is Sony Ericcson PC Companion so dififcult?
I thoght that sony will have a software to backup and syncronyse my outlook contacts to the phone like it did in other phones. How do I transfer and syncronise my outlook contacts to my phone?how do I backup on my pc my phone informations?
I have a fairly long stream of text messages with one person on my Xperia X8 that I wish to keep but I also need to get the messages off my phone as it is getting increasingly slow to open them now. Is there any way of backing up text messages, either through PC Companion or with Astro?
As soon as I bought my mini-pro I got messages saying that the software needed updating (why, its a brand new phone?) I have tried updating via the PC Compnanion but that is useless and and I get absolutely nowhere. When I queried this with Sony they said its a common problem ( ! ) and I should update the software online. They did warn that this might cause loss of data and so I should back-up the data on the phone first. When I asked them how I do this no-one bothered to reply. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to do this as Sony aren't interested.
I've tried to update to 2.1 twice (once via PC Companion and once via SE Update Service) but have had problems with the new 2.1 after each attempt. Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. Is it possible for me to revert back to 1.6? How to try and successfully install 2.1?
For about a week now I've had an alert pop up on my phone stating that my "Storage Space Is Running Out". Today is the first chance I've been able to connect my phone to the PC. I'm trying to export my photos from the phone to my PC so I can clear some of the memory ... how I go about this?
The second issue is that with my phone plan, I have a 1GB data limit a month and I have a widget on the home screen telling me how much I've used etc. The other day I got a "Data Usage" alert on my phone, which I have set to 1GB and to warn me when I'm near my limit (I've set to alert me when I have 100MG remaining).
I don't want to turn mobile data off. I have my phone automatically connect to wifi when at home.
OK, lots of Music in my Music folder (accesed via file manager), but I can't add any of it to playlists, I can play it but despite the help function telling me I can then use options to add it to a playlist I can't, I have seen this appears to be a common issue with this 'smart' (sic) phone.
I recently purchased and set up iSyncr for my AT&T HTC One. It worked pretty flawlessly and I am pleased with it.
The one issue that I am having is that I sync the "Recently Added" and "Recently Played" smart playlists from itunes (because I would like them to be the same on PC/Phone), and it seems that there are default playlists built into the "Music" application with the same names that CANNOT be deleted by pressing and holding. The only option I get is "Play" when I press and hold.
Is there any way to delete these built in playlists from the phone so I do not have playlists with the same name on my phone? Where in internal storage they are located?
I just switched to android from iphone, and one of the features I've been missing is the smart playlists available though itunes. I've seen recommendations for isync to work with itunes to create smart playlists, but I was wondering if there are any other music playing apps that support this feature. Right now it ends up copying files onto my phone that were already synced (files in synced a synced playlist are duplicated), so I'm looking to find a system that's more efficient with phone memory.
This seems like the kind of interactive and personalized interface that would thrive under android, so I'm surprised to find I need to interface through itunes to make it work.
I want to sync iTunes playlists to my HTC One M8, but can find no way to do so. I've spent more than 2 hours on the phone with HTC tech support, none of whom could solve my problem.
I know I CAN copy songs onto my phone, but for playlists to work they need to be organized in folders by artist, with subfolders by album. If they aren't I have to recreate every single iTunes playlist manually. Then, any time I change a playlist, I have to make the change a second time on the phone.
I know I CAN copy all the songs onto the phone and have iTunes sort them as a new library, but I can never sync them once I do that. Every time I add or change a song in iTunes, I'll have to remember to go to my phone and make the same changes.
What I NEED to do is sync selected playlists in iTunes with my phone in such a way that the playlists will work (organized music folders) and that the music can be synced now and then, and any changes made since the last sync will be made on the phone as well.
This should be easy to do. This is syncing music at its most basic level. Every smartphone I've owned previously was able to do this by default. Apparently the HTC One M8 is incapable of this.
I am trying to transfer my playlists from my Galaxy s4 to my Galaxy s5. However on the S5 it doesn't let me access the folder where the playlists are stored to move my old playlists there. Tried showing hidden files, and I still can't access the path, I see the path when I search for a new playlist I created in the S5, but I can't find it to access it. Do you know if there is a way?
I upgraded to 5.1 a few days ago and the "built in" smart playlists like "Recently Added", "My Top Rated", etc are missing from the Music app on my phone (iPhone 4, Verizon). All I see on the phone are my Genius playlists.I see the "Recently Added", "My Top Rated", "Recently Played" lists on my Phone in iTunes under DEVICES, but they are gone from my phone.I am able to create a smart playlist ("Recently Addled") and it *does* sync to the phone.I supposed I can get "Top Rated", etc, back, with a new smart playlist. Is there a limit to the number of playlists that will sync to the phone?
I followed the directions in the users manual on my phone as well as finding some tips in the communities but all say I should be able to only sync the playlists i want to transfer to my phone. when i plug in my phone to my computer and open iTunes, the device is there and when i click on it, shows the sync menu but won't let me change from downloading the entire library of songs and i only want a couple of play lists.
I'm using iTunes 10.6.1.7 and OS5 on my iPhone4. Whenever I create a playlist in iTunes and sync the two together, the iPhone alwaysalphabetizes the playlist, rather than keeping it in the arranged order I created in iTunes. I've read archived replies to a similar situation in 2007, where the problem was based on iTunes 7. Now, we're nearly 5 years and multiple versions later and the same problem still occurs. What gives? What's the use of taking the time to create a nice playlist on one medium only to have the second one screw up all your work?
I recently bought a new pc, because my old one was trashed. I had all the songs in a external hard drive. I put it on to my new computer but I don't want to manually put those songs back into the playlists that I had. is there a way that I can transfer the playlists from my iphone onto the new computer?
I created a few .m3u playlists (from a different application) which open fine using programs like VLC and such. The paths are relative from the location of the .m3u file, so I have .m3u files mixed in with my tracks (not in a separate "Playlists" directory).
Ovi Suite has no option to preserve directory structure of tracks, so I am copying the tree of files directly using windows instead of using it's brain-dead sync. I lost all my playlists once and I don't want to use that program to generate them again.
From the n8 Music Player app, I refresh library and can see the playlist entries corresponding to each of my .m3u files, but each playlist contains 0 tracks. It seems that the music player app is finicky about the playlist format? Does it allow for #EXTM3U tags? What are the specs? Where do I file a bug report against this application?
I used to have these thousands of empty playlists in my iTunes and a simple script fixed this for me several times. But now I see those exact same playlists ONLY on my iPhone so I tried to run that script but nothing happens because it only works for iTunes.Anyone an idea how to get all of these empty playlists gone at once?
