I have recently cracked the screen on my z3 and I am not able to use the phone at All. It still has power and everything. I haven't backed up at all and because I cannot use the actually device I can't do it now. Is there anyway I can do it by plugging the phone into a computer??

I have an Sprint iPhone 4 and a Macbook. I use a USB to Sync, charge and backup my phone. If I close the lid to my computer while the phone is plugged in to the USB port it locks up my computer. The screen goes black but I can sort of see stuff behind the black screen. I press the power button to turn it off but nothing happens (maybe I have not waited long enough) so I end up taking the battery out, pressing the power button, putting the battery back in and then powering my computer back on.
This just started happening about 2 weeks ago and nothing has changed with my phone or my computer. There is a guy on another message board who just started having the same problem. He has an iPhone 4S, Sprint, a Macbook pro but he has Snow Leopard and I am still using Leopard.

Samsung PC Suite used to let you transfer all your numbers to it's PC suite with no problems...why is Sony Ericcson PC Companion so dififcult?

I have tried updating via the PC Compnanion but that is useless and and I get absolutely nowhere. When I queried this with Sony they said its a common problem ( ! ) and I should update the software online. They did warn that this might cause loss of data and so I should back-up the data on the phone first. When I asked them how I do this no-one bothered to reply. Is there anyone out there who can tell me how to do this as Sony aren't interested.

Part of contacts list was missing even after backing up data. Font display is noticeably larger. Words on various apps are cut off. Also lost the user guides. Over the past two weeks, photos I've taken aren't backing up to Google.I have Lollipop, and photos have backed up since it was installed, but I reset my phone after Christmas and since then they aren't backing up.
I've looked at the settings and as far as I can see they are correct (auto backup on, over WiFi and mobile, etc.), but they don't appear. The photos show up in the Google photo app, but not on any other device. I can manually upload them to Google Photos. Photos on other devices will auto upload. I have 12GB of data allowance left.
I want to restore my backup from my old 3g to my 4s, however I have been using my 4s for a couple of weeks now and wondered if I restored the back up from my 3g through itunes, would this wipe off any new data that's on my 4s? Or is there a way I can restore the data without wiping off any new stuff such as pictures etc?

I'm relatively new to Nokia having just gotten an e52 a few days ago and I find it a bit confusing to use at times but I'm sure it just takes some getting used to.Anyhow the first thing I wanted to do was to back up my contacts to my PC without having to use PC suite. While I was getting my back up phone ready to be promoted, I discovered that one of my applications is not available for download anymore (actually, a newer version is available, but ATT now charges monthly for it - ouch). My hard drive on my iMac crashed. I used it to sync and back-up my iPhone 4s 64GB. Since all those back-ups are gone, will I have to back-up my iPhone 4s to icloud now.
